The clear substance slid to the side of the trail as I focused on the power on the tip of my fingers. The heavy mass that weigh on my fingers rushed out of my nails, but yet nothing dripped out of it. Instead, the water that started to thicken as I went farther through the pathway moved to the sides to give me way.
Deeper I go, the more water soaked the ground, less trees and plants surrounding my sides. The dirt turned from a dark brown to a lighter shade, until came a point where the dirt was not dirt anymore, but sand.
Exciting.
I feel like I want to touch and bring home every single thing that I see. This place is legendary!
Okay - maybe not. Its a bit scary, I admit, to be one and all alone. But look at the bright side - at least I don't need to face whines from my companion, even if there was a companion.
Its like a blurred dream. Even now, I still couldn't accept the fact that Jade is in danger because of Alaine. How could she do that? When she confessed, I was hoping she'd be like, oh! I was just joking about poisoning Jade. Its probably the chicken and not the cookies.
Alaine didn't say that. It wasn't a mistake. She'd confessed clearly, with a fair amount of witnesses.
"Good. I never liked her that much so, good." I forced more power out of my fingers, and the water that blocked my way moved out faster than usual.
I'm not mad. I know I'm not.
I brushed my fingers over the cold water surface, thoughts filled my mind. How could I even get spellbounded with a dark power? I didn't want that to happen.
"I guess I should've been a lot more careful, shouldn't I?" I asked to my reflection in the river. The trees that surrounded me made a swift noise that it only came for a second, and I sighed.
I heard footsteps coming from behind and prepared for an attack immediately. I raised the water in front of me and gushed it behind, standing up. A loud sizzling sound could be heard, and then I backed away as I saw the brightness and heat.
"You seriously need to stop getting one drop of water on me." Jade Flame stood there glaring at me, crossing her arms with the tip of her fingers on fire. I huffed, rolling my eyes.
"I never said this to you; But what do you want? If you're here just to burn me up, get lost." I turned my back on her, facing the flowing water once more.
"I'm not here to burn you up literally; I just need you to listen to my burnt up complaint." I scoffed at that. "That you would have never intended to listen." She continued icily, walking over to stand beside me.
"I honestly don't know what's the fuss between you two." She started, and I immediately know who she's talking about by 'you two'. I turned to glare at her, but it seems that she already did that earlier than me.
"I just," she shook her head. "I just don't want my mate and my best friend going through a fight. If you could at least look at him the way the others do. Why aren't you doing that, though?"
"I look at him so indifferently. All I want is you." I rested my eyes on her brown ones that narrowed so suddenly.
Silence fell upon us.

"I found him. I'm not yours anymore. You're just a long lost memory to me." Her voice trembled.
Something stabbed my heart so deep that I closed my eyes and flinch. When I opened my eyes, my sight was already blurry. I blinked away the tears and saw Jade bite her lip, still looking at me.
"I can't believe you turned me into a friend and chose Jack over me. That hurts,"
"That's right. That's what I want you feel." She said rather harshly, her tone mimicking an evil queen. "I want you to feel what I felt when you left me; When you left me all alone; Without any REASON that I could accept."
"I didn't mean to-"
"YOU PLANNED IT. YOU INTENDED TO DO IT." She yelled. "You, lying to me today, is worse! After I knew why, you came up to me and be all innocent when in truth, that we both know, you walked away from me because you're bored of me?" She snarled, getting an inch closer that I could feel heat already.
"What do you think I am," She backed away, smiling and finally calming down.
"SOME KIND OF TOY?!" Her fistful of fire hit me in the jaw, and too much force made me fall and stumble a few steps back. My trembling hands cupped my jaw, my eyes closed. The pain throbbed throughout my face, my hearing ability seem to be exchanged with a high pitched beep.
"That's right, Aqua Deep." Her smug voice rang through my ears. "Feel the pain."
"So," I opened my eyes to see her Converse stepping towards me. "Please respect Jack the way I do. Once you get to know his bright side, you'll know who's replaced."
"Forget that we had any romantic relationship. I'm bored of it."
I kept my head down, not daring to look at her expression. Slowly, she turned and left, burying me in millions of regrets.
Grimacing, a patted a fist on my pained heart. 'Jaqua' was a thing, but apparently I got bored of it and decided to venture out to the real world, leaving her behind. I returned and went to see her first, but seeing her become so independent and strong behind the shadows seemed threatening to me.
So I visited Breeze and Ben. Of course they scolded me, and they said to show up in front of Jade. Apologize. I said I would, but being a jerk that I am, I just cowardly watch her from afar, behind the trees, under the shadows. Watching her live so strongly just adds more fear of me to her.
Forget it.
"I should be over that." I scoffed to myself.
"Oh, should you?"
I jumped, startled and scared. I searched my surroundings for signs of anything that talks, but found none. I shrugged it off, it must be an imagination of mine. I started to walk again, but a ruffling noise made me halt my steps, frozen at the spot.
"Who's there?!" I asked loudly, and I could hear my voice echo through the forest.
"Helloooooooo visitor!" A deep, shaky voice called out.
A nervous gasp escaped my lips, and I raised my hand preparing for attacks that may come before me. "If you harm me in any way, I swear to God that I'll summon a dragon to kill you. And your family. Along with your cousins and nieces, even your great, mega, ultra granddaughter and grandsons! For seven generations. And more. Period." I hissed through my teeth, not daring to look behind me.

"Angus, look what you had made him say!" Another voice said, this time it was a woman's voice. And its pixie-like. I had raised my eyebrows at the voice in contempt, though nobody could see it.
"Honey, turn around. We won't let anything bite you, pinky pro--"
"NO!" I denied quickly, and rather childishly.
An 'oooh, fragile one, eh' could be heard, and I almost couldn't catch it due to the thumping noise of my heartbeat that rang through my ears.
"I'm Si. I'm a part of the Trylle's Division, you know, tooth fairies? Toothiana? I suppose you know her?"
Hearing the mention of Tooth's name I immediately turned around, with a gleam in my face. But the gleam dropped and turned into astonishment as I saw what's talking. Right to the side of the trail stood a big willow tree, a willow tree that I haven't noticed as I was walking. I had walked past this gigantic tree but I didn't even notice it?
One more detail : The tree has eyes. A nose. And a mouth. The corners of its mouth tugged up at the sides to form a smile that was directed at the dumbfounded me.
"You're in the Trylle Division? You? Help collect teeth?" I gaped at the tree which's smile had dropped. It would be impossible if that tree is in the tooth fairy business. He's too big to collect teeth! He could wake up the children instead of letting them sleep so soundly! He's so gigantic and unpleasant looking and--
"Not me. Her." One of his branch kicked a small being to the front.
"Fairy?" My gape became wider. The fairy had delicate looking skin, with a dress made out of an orangey aspen leaf. Her hair was black and short -- pixie-like, symbolizes her size.
"I'm Si," she said cheerfully. "That is Angus." She nodded at the tree.
Si and Angus gave me a wide, teeth showing smile, making me feel very out of place.
*********************************
Here I am, walking with a huge willow tree stomping its roots behind me -- Angus can walk. That's new. -- and a tiny pixie fluttering around as annoying as Tinker Bell. I had told them the reason I came here along with my introduction, and it turns out that Si and Angus were just having a stroll until they stumbled upon a human-looking wanderer. It had been ages since there was a wanderer here, so they say.
And by ages, they meant, really, literally ages. They had also showed me the right way though. Also insisted that they follow me, in case there were fire dragons roaming around.
They don't know I'm a water elementor.
"You're very lucky to take this route. The other paths are very dangerous and nerve-wrecking. It could cause death." Angus said casually, and I stopped at my tracks right away.
The other paths?
"JACK AND BEN!" I shouted in worry.
"Who?"
"JACK! BEN! THEY'RE MY FRIENDS!" I was pacing, hovering over the forest as if they were near.
"Why did you separate?!" Si fluttered over me, her hand clasped on her mouth. I just shook my head, unable to form words. Death?! "First rule in expedition with your fellow friends," Angus started, calm. "NEVER SEPERATE!" He chromed loudly, making me shiver in more worry.
"Second rule," he said again. Me and Si were focusing on him, waiting for the second.
"I got nothing." He said at last.
"Is it possible if they're dead by now?" I asked, my fingers trembling.
"They said, of their faith is strong, they'll survive. But if it isn't, they're going to be,"
"SWALLOWED BY DARKNESS!" Si and Angus said at the same time, dramatically.
"That's so metaphoric." I pointed out.
"I don't actually know what that means. Its what the elders say." Si said awkwardly.
"I'm sure your friends are strong willed. What are their names again?"
Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair and it rested on my sling bag right after.
"Jack Frost and Ben Stone."
Hearing this, they had seem to be frozen. Is there something wrong with them or...?
"The Guardian?" Si gasped. "He knows you? You know him?! He's sooooo dreamy!" If this was a cartoon, Si would've had hearts replacing her eyes. And hearts would be floating around her, with Cupid as a cameo in the pink background.
So cheesy.
"Hmph. He's a troublemaker. But he has that bonus -- looks and charms." Angus pursed his woody lips.
"If Frost is your friend, what are you?" Si asked me, the hearts on her eyes had seem to vanish.
"I'm a water elementor. Charming, eh?" I clicked my tongue and grinned charmingly, expecting a dreamy response. But what did I get? Awkward looks from the audience.
Angus poked Si using his tiniest branch and said, "Jack or Aqua?" Si rubbed her chin, thinking. She had also ran her gaze from the tip of my hair to my toes.
"Well?" I urged.
"Still Jack." She answered, smug.
I rolled my eyes, and mentioned Jade. Si had widened her eyes at this, and now, it seems like steam was pouring out from her ears at the mention of romantic relationship.
By the time we talked about this we had continued walking, me leading.
"You want to beat Jade?" I offered her, grinning. She nodded furiously and Angus strained his laugh.
"Step one," I started. "Uh-huh." Si had flown over to me, a tiny notebook on her hands. Her gray eyes focused at me as I prepared my set of words.
"Never beat Jade." Me and Angus said simultaneously, and again, Si seemed to have steam pouring out from her ears again.
"Why not?"
"For your information, Jade is hot. And by hot I mean visually and physically." I smiled smug at my definition.
"What." She exclaimed, clearly lost.
"A very beautiful girl. Once a princess, tough and," I hanged the last characteristic.
"And what? I hope the last one is a bad one."
"A fire elementor."
Si had her eyes widened and retreated to Angus. "I give up." She said.
"Who's charming now?" I laughed. Si had scoffed at this.
"We're here!" Angus exclaimed.
I stopped on my tracks, looking up at the incredible miracle in front of me. The path expanded to a beautiful sunny beach and a deep, clear sea that falls to the horizon. I had emerged from a bush, less thick enough for me to go through it.
In addition, the Sun was setting.
"Its getting dark, Aqua. Would you like to rest for a while?" Angus offered.
I turned to look at them, and a worrying expression painted their face.
"Are you guys staying though?" I asked, a bit hopeful.
"Of course we would! We couldn't just leave you here. We have nowhere to go anyway." Si said.
Its amazing at how you could make friends with someone you've just met for a few hours. It might be too quick, but I think I have full trust to both Si and Angus.
"True. Here," Angus stomped on a spot in front of the bushes, facing the ocean, he dug his roots. "You can sleep on me."
"Are you sure?" I walked up to him, hesitant. "I'm pretty heavy you know."
"I've had heavier. Climb on. There's a flat branch of mine. Be comfortable, alright?"
I swiftly climbed up Angus and settled on the branch he had mentioned. I strapped off my sling bag and set it on my feet, laying on the branch with my arms as a pillow.
"I'm here," Si flown to the branch on the other side, a much smaller one. Within seconds of laying on the branch, Si had fell soundly asleep.
"Good night." I whispered. I drifted of to sleep wondering about Jack and Ben. I hope they're doing just fine.
