《Killua X Reader [An Endless Bond]》[40] Tension

Your complex expression didn't go unnoticed, as Killua looked at you worriedly.
"Well, we gotta start training as fast as possible first!" Senka smiled, standing up. "We'll teach you guys as much as we can. Of course, you'll be helping us get stronger, too!"
You looked to Senka, who had a big grin on her face along with a thumbs up. Ryu wasn't really looking at you, but you could see a quiet fire in his eyes. You then looked to Killua, who gave you an encouraging smile.
You eventually found yourself smiling back. "You're right. Then, we can find Sanguis together–"
"And take him down! Once and for all!" Senka added, punching the air.
Ryu nodded, a determined glint in his eye. "I'm down."
"Alright! So now that we know how strong (Y/N), Killua, and Alluka are, we can start training together tomorrow!" Senka said, nudging Ryu. "We might actually be able to defeat Sanguis with them, don't you think?"
"Yeah, that's great," was Ryu's mere reply.
An irk mark appeared on Senka's forehead. "Hey! At least sound more excited about it! I know you want to defeat him more than anything!"
"Geez, you're so loud and annoying, Senka." Ryu sighed, turning away.
"I'm loud and annoying because of YOU, Ryu!"
"Oi, keep quiet! You'll wake Alluka!" Killua interrupted, glaring at the two Bounty Hunters.
Meanwhile, you sweatdropped. 'Tomorrow's gonna be a long day...'
_ _ _
The next day, you all gathered by the big forest clearing. It was the crack of dawn, as the sky was only starting to turn orange.
"Senka, why'd you call us here so early?" You ask, yawning and stretching your limbs.
Alluka nodded, yawning as well. "When Onii-chan woke me up earlier saying we had to meet you guys, I was so confused! It's no fair you all agreed on that while I was asleep–" she pouted while stifling another yawn.
Senka chuckled. "Sorry about that Alluka. We, especially Killua, didn't wanna disturb you," she said, smiling apologetically.
Killua sighed at this as he scratched the side of his head in annoyance. "Seriously, you guys were so noisy. It's a miracle Alluka was able to sleep through all that." His eyes were clear and alert as he said that, despite how late he, and everyone else, stayed up last night.

You tilted your head at this. "Killua, you look pretty awake, considering how early it is."
"Hmm?" Killua turned to you. "I'm pretty used to this. I can last a few days without sleep." He shrugs.
You gasped in awe. "What?! That's no fair, but at the same time, that's really cool!" You exclaimed, as your eyes lit up, making you feel more awake.
Killua, taken aback, froze for a split second. "C-Cool?! No, it's not! It takes a stupid amount of training to get to do that, geez..." he stammers, averting his eyes as heat rushed to his cheeks.
"Oh! If that's the case, Killua, then you'll probably have an easy time today as well!" Senka put a finger to her chin. "Actually, nevermind, it really depends. Ryu could give you a hard time!" She laughs.
Ryu sighs. "Senka, you could give them a hard time too, you know?"
"What? Me?" She waves a hand dismissively while rolling her eyes playfully. "Nah."
Alluka tilts her head. "But isn't Senka's ability mainly for information gathering? How is that gonna give us a hard time?" She asks.
Ryu looked at Alluka with a raised eyebrow. "If Senka only had a lame ability like that, there's no way I'd let her work with me. She wouldn't be able to fight," he said matter-of-factly, earning a furious glare from Senka.
"Ryu! Stop calling it lame! It's helped us in so many situations, stupid!"
"Yeah, I get it. Can we start already?" Ryu sighs.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she turns away from Ryu. "Fine!" She exclaims, before turning to you three with that same annoyed expression. "What we're going to be doing today is pretty straightforward! There's no way someone like me could come up with some training plan, so..." she pauses, her expression turning into a slow, mischievous grin. "You gotta fight us!"
You, Alluka, and Killua looked at each other with bewildered expressions, before turning to Ryu and Senka once more. "WHAT?!"
_ _ _
"Oi, Alluka! Behind you!" Killua warned as he watched Alluka fight Senka by herself.
Thanks to that, though, Alluka was able to dodge Senka's Nen attack right on time.

While that was happening, you and Killua sat down and watched from the sides. "Who knew Senka had another Nen ability up her sleeve? She's pretty strong, don't you think, Killua?" You lightly nudge him, watching his vibrant blue eyes survey the battle.
"Yeah. It looks like a simple Emitter attack at first, since all she does is use Ko on her fist, then detach that aura to use as a ranged attack. However, when you realize that ball of Nen can let Senka see things like her Wandering Eyes, it changes everything." Killua put a hand to his chin, watching Senka dodge one of Alluka's attacks.
You nod. "She can control the Nen she detaches, and she can release it whenever she wants, too! It's a good thing she can only summon one of those at a time," you say, letting your shoulders slump as you let out a deep sigh. "I wish I had a Nen ability I can use for attacking, too... all I have is an ability to look for living things..."
Killua gives you a sidelong glance, unknowingly smiling to himself. "You're a Specialist, (Y/N). You might develop some broken ability not even Senka can handle."
"Well, yeah, but most Specialists only have one ability, don't they?"
He shrugs. "That's true, but you developed that ability before even learning about Nen, so who knows?" Averting his eyes, he checks on Alluka again, who seems to be getting tired.
"Yeah..." you mumble before your eyes slowly lit up in realization. "Yeah! You may be right, Killua!" You exclaimed, leaning closer to Killua's face with hopeful eyes. "I'm gonna use this time to train my Nen so I could develop a new ability! Whatever it'll be!"
Meanwhile, Killua's cheeks turned beet red at how close you were. He laughs nervously "Yeah, yeah, that's nice, (Y/N)." He gulped. "B-But could you stop sticking your face in mine?! Y-You're too close!" He stammers, looking very flustered.
"Oh! Sorry!" You giggle. "It seemed natural for me. I don't know why I did it," you say, shrugging and leaning back.
"N-Natura– What's that supposed to mean?!" Killua exclaimed, looking even more flustered than before.
Before you could reply, you see Senka waving at you from your peripheral vision. "Hey! Sorry to interrupt your bonding session, but Alluka seems to have reached her limit! Maybe you could go next, (Y/N)?" She calls, approaching the tired Alluka and supporting her.
'B-Bonding session?!' Killua's eyes widened significantly as he tensed up.
"O-Oh! Sure!" You reply, getting up to help Alluka as well.
"Ah, wait, (Y/N)..." Killua trails off, reaching his hand out to you. However, you were too far from his reach by that point.
He lets out a light sigh, curling his fingers into a fist and burying his hands in his pockets. "Make sure you kill today's training, (Y/N)," he mumbles.
After letting Alluka rest by a tree, you turned to Senka. "Will I be fighting you also?" you ask.
"Ah! No, no." She shook her head, before turning to Ryu on the other side of the clearing, who was sleeping by a tree again. "Ryu! It's your turn!" She yelled as loud as she could for him to hear.
'Eh? I'm against Ryu?' You tilt your head, looking unsure.
"God, he's not responding." Senka sighs, stomping over to Ryu to wake him up. "Ryu, goddammit! At least pay attention when you fall asleep!" She shakes him awake.
Ryu stirs, his eyes slowly opening. "I can't pay attention when I'm sleeping... are you dumb, Senka?" He mumbles. "Wait, don't answer that. I already know."
Another irk mark appears on Senka's forehead as she pulled him to his feet rather aggressively. "Whatever, you idiot! It's your turn to fight with (Y/N) now, so wake up!" She exclaims, stomping over to one side.
"Yeah, okay." He scratches the side of his head, before turning to you. "You ready, (Y/N)?"
You blink at him. "Y-Yeah!" You reply reluctantly, positioning yourself for battle. 'I'm not sure what to make of him, but he doesn't seem as strong as Senka at least!' you thought to yourself.
"Alright." Ryu strolls to a spot in front of you. "Let's see what you can do."
