《Killua X Reader [An Endless Bond]》[16] Answers

It was the next day. You, Killua, Alluka, and Wing have gathered in Zushi's room as soon as he regained consciousness.
Despite Wing's nagging to rest, Zushi sat up anyway, ignoring the searing pain from his chest.
"Master... do you have the DVD of yesterday's fight?" He asked weakly, yet there was no mistaking the pure resolve illuminating his hazel eyes.
Wing paused, hesitating for a moment, before sighing in resignation. "Yes... I was planning to take (Y/N) and Alluka through it after checking on you," he admits, slight concern showing in his face.
Zushi inhales sharply at this. "Please let me watch it with you... There's something I need to check!" he pleads, immediately bowing his head as he did so.
A thick silence consumes the room as you, Killua, and Alluka discreetly exchanged worried glances.
After what seemed like forever, Wing's reply seemed to cut through the air. "Very well... However, I forbid you from using Nen until you are fully healed." He paused, pushing his glasses upward. "Starting today, you will be practicing 'Ten' every day. Understood?"
Zushi raised his head, smiling gratefully at Wing. "Osu!"

In no time, you all started watching Zushi's match with Sanguis on TV. Despite the loud, almost deafening cheers heard from the screen, the atmosphere around the room remained solemn. After all, it sure was a real struggle rewatching this disaster of a match.
Eventually, you reached the part where Sanguis withstood Zushi's Nen punch unprotected.
You managed to break the tense silence with your bright, curious voice. "How was he able to survive Zushi's Nen attacks without using Nen himself? Isn't that impossible?" You asked Wing, a genuinely puzzled look on your face.
Beside you, Zushi tenses up at your question, before giving Wing a knowing look. He nods back. "I think Zushi will be able to explain this."
You turn to Zushi, looking slightly worried at his injured form. He notices this, as he gives you a reassuring smile as if saying 'don't worry about me.'
"I only thought of this after the match already ended but, I think he might have been using In," he starts, a slight crease forming between his brows.
You and Alluka tilt heads in confusion. "In?" Alluka repeats the term curiously.
"That's correct, Zushi. In is a high-level application of Zetsu that essentially conceals your aura. Even the strongest of opponents will have difficulty seeing it." Wing explains, smiling kindly at each of you.
"So... you're saying that Sanguis actually protected himself with Nen but hid the fact that he did?!" Your eyes widened at your realization. Wing nodded.
'Interesting... But why would he do that?' You wondered, frowning slightly.
"There is a technique that can counter it, though. You must focus your aura created by Ren into your eyes. It is called Gyo," Wing continues.
"Normally, I would let Zushi demonstrate, but he's injured right now," he says, as Zushi sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "So, Killua-kun, would you show us how it's done?" He asks, turning his head to him.
"Hm? Sure," was Killua's simple reply. Getting up casually, he strode to the front, stopping a few paces away from the TV.
Facing all of you in a relaxed stance, his eyes remained calm and confident. Suddenly, he released an explosive burst of aura. The force of it was enough to generate a small breeze, as it mildly tousled your hair.

Right beside you, Alluka and Zushi let out small gasps of awe as they watched. Even Wing seemed pleased at Killua's strong Ren, as a proud smile touched his lips.
Meanwhile, your eyes remained fixated on him alone. 'Woah, he didn't even have to concentrate!' You thought, realizing once more how strong Killua really is.
Afterward, you watched as his aura gathered to his eyes, surrounding it entirely. It was like a flame with it as its core. Then, he took a look at the screen, which was paused at the exact moment where Zushi punched Sanguis.
"You're right, he did guard himself with Nen," he said in slight disbelief, which was soon replaced with a cautious frown.
"What? I wanna see it too!" You say, a determined look making its way to your face.
Wing chuckles. "You should be strong enough to do it now, (Y/N)-chan. Give it a try," he encourages. You nod, activating your Ren as well.
"Now, imagine all your aura gathering to your eyes," you hear Wing say. Taking his advice to heart, you closed your eyes, visualizing the flow of your aura and directing it towards them. It took a while to get the hang of, but as soon as you did, you opened your eyes once more.
Struggling to keep your aura around them, you looked at the screen. Your Nen-filled orbs widened in disbelief at what you saw. At Sanguis' stomach, where Zushi's fist landed, was a thick layer of Nen, while the rest of his body was surrounded by a thinner layer.
As soon as you saw it, you immediately released your Gyo out of exhaustion. Panting heavily, you found yourself leaning on Alluka, who supported you firmly.
"H-How... his aura... it wasn't Ten. Also, when he punched Zushi..." You trailed off, trying to catch your breath. 'Gyo is so hard to maintain!'
"Nice observation, (Y/N)-chan, but we'll get to that later," he smiles, before taking on a more serious expression. "As difficult as it is to watch this again, I'll have to admit that this is the perfect reference for all the other advanced Nen techniques, not just In."
As Wing said that, he, almost reluctantly, fast-forwarded to the part where Sanguis held out his scimitar. Almost instantly, he checked on Zushi, as if asking if this was okay. To his surprise, Zushi's gaze remained strong, as his eyes never left the screen.
'Looks like we've been worrying too much,' Wing smiles to himself at the thought.
"This part here. Killua-kun, tell me what you see with your Gyo," Wing says.
Killua nods, effortlessly activating Gyo once more. "I see..." he mumbles. "Aside from his body, his blade is also surrounded with Nen. It's how he was able to cut through Zushi despite his Ten defense."
"Eh? You can surround other objects with Nen?" Alluka asks, tilting her head slightly.
"That's right. It's a technique called Shu. It's an advanced application of Ten." Wing explains, picking up the TV remote as he said this. You all watch as he activated his Ten, surrounding the remote with his aura as he did it.
"Woah," you and Alluka say in awe.
"Using Shu allows you to use the object as if it were an extension of yourself. It also strengthens and protects it, just like what Ten does to your body." Wing finishes, setting the remote back down and deactivating his Ten.

"So, once again... he covered the fact that he was using Nen? Why?" You kept wondering.
"To deceive. I bet he likes throwing his opponents off guard," Killua speaks up, voice ice-cold with contempt. "He's a snake. All the more reason to avoid him at all costs," he continues, glaring at Sanguis through the screen.
"I'll have to agree with Killua. In is a technique that's mostly used to hide something. He's been using it all this time to confuse Zushi, making him think he's doing the impossible," Wing states, before turning to you. "Be careful, (Y/N)-chan."
'It IS an interesting strategy, though...' Was what you wanted to say. But looking at the grim faces of Wing and Killua, you decided to keep it to yourself as you nodded instead.
With the silence that followed, Alluka took this opportunity to ask a question. "Wing-san. When Zushi punched Sanguis, his aura looked weird," she starts, waving her hands around as if trying to describe it. "And when Sanguis punched him back, his aura was only on his fist. is that Gyo?"
Zushi smiled. "Those are great questions, Alluka-chan!" Wing smiles. "Let's start with your second observation."
As he said this, he picked up the remote and went back to the part Alluka described. There, you saw exactly what she mentioned. Sanguis' aura was concentrated entirely on his fist. You unknowingly tilt your head in confusion as you looked at it.
"This technique here is called Ko," Wing states, mimicking Sanguis' move by surrounding his own hand with aura. "It's a purely offensive technique that combines Ten, Zetsu, Hatsu, Ren, and Gyo. Focusing it on a body part will make it extremely powerful, but it leaves the rest of your body unprotected."
"Woah, a combination of everything?" You mumble to yourself in wonder. 'Nen is so complicated...'
"Now, let's go back to the part where Zushi landed a hit on Sanguis," Wing continues, rewinding the video.
You vividly remembered what happened. Zushi's aura seemed to shift to a much denser, almost Ren-like Ten. Then, like Ko, most of his aura flowed to his fist. However, unlike Ko, the rest of his body was still surrounded by aura, but it was a much thinner layer.
'Huh... it reminds me of what Sanguis' aura looked like when he defended himself from that punch, except the aura flowed to his gut... and he concealed it with In,' you thought, remembering that this was what you tried to ask Wing about while catching your breath earlier.
"So, as you can see here, Zushi's aura is like a much thicker Ten," Wing points out, gesturing to the screen. "This is a defensive technique called Ken. It is a combination of Ten and Ren, and the best counter to Ko."
You and Alluka nod your heads in understanding. Meanwhile, Killua and Zushi remained focused on Wing, despite them knowing what he's talking about.
"After activating Ken, he used another technique here," Wing says, letting the video play for a few seconds. He paused it at the part where Zushi redirected most of his aura to his fist.
"Oh, isn't that Ko?" Alluka pointed to the screen.
"Not quite, but it is similar. Notice how there's still traces of aura surrounding his body?" Wing points to the video. "Ken distributes your aura evenly around the body, but this technique, called Ryu, allows you to redistribute your aura to where it's needed." He pauses, taking another look at Zushi in the video. "In this case, 90% of his aura was focused on his fist, while the remaining 10% surrounded the rest of his body."
"Is this the same technique Sanguis used to defend himself against it?" You asked.
Wing smiles. "That's right. Wasn't this your question earlier?"
You nod, finally understanding everything that happened in the match, and what kind of fighter Sanguis is.
"Hmm... I guess that's everything," Wing finishes, shutting off the TV and retrieving the CD.
Now that Wing's lengthy explanations were finished, Alluka leaned on to you. You turned your head towards her, noticing hints of tiredness in her eyes.
"That's a lot to take in..." she mumbles, yet she kept herself awake, much to your surprise.
"Don't worry, we'll learn them one by one after we finish all 4 basic principles." Wing reassures her.
You look back at Wing, a question popping in your head. "Are those all the advanced techniques, Wing-san?" You ask him.
He shook his head. "There was one that wasn't demonstrated yet. But don't worry, you'll eventually learn that as well."
"I see..." You mumble, taking everything in.
_ _ _
You and the others spent a little more time keeping Zushi company. Thankfully, he didn't seem too bothered about watching his fight, which was reassuring.
Suddenly, you perked up, remembering something. "Oh! I forgot I have a match today!" You excitedly announced as you hurriedly made your way to the door.
Wing chuckles while Zushi smiled at you. "You're quite excited aren't you?" Wing comments, observing your behavior.
"Yeah. For some reason, I find these matches exciting." You find yourself smiling at them, before turning to Zushi. "Take care, Zushi. I'm sure you'll be able to beat Sanguis someday!"
Zushi only sweatdrops at your statement, as he scratched his head. "O-Osu! I still have much to learn, though..."
You gave him one last encouraging smile, but just before you open the door to leave, Alluka tugged at Killua's shirt. "Onii-chan, can we watch Onee-chan's match, please?"
Killua gives her a small smile, "You have training Alluka."
You find yourself chuckling fondly after you heard this. "Oh, come on, Killua. Just let her go," You smile brightly. "Come on, Alluka," You beckon her over, opening the door to leave.
"Yay!!" Alluka squeals in excitement as she ran to your side. Meanwhile, Killua only sighed in resignation. "Fine... but I'll come with you," he breathes out, following Alluka.
"Well, we'll see you around, Four-eyes." Killua waves a hand, a tiny smile tugging at his lips. "And good luck, Zushi," he finishes, following you out the door and closing it behind him.
"Osu!" Zushi replied, even though Killua already left. Wing found himself chuckling. "They're quite lively, don't you think?"
"Yeah. They're nice to be with." Zushi smiles warmly at the door where you, Killua and Alluka left.
But as he did that, a small frown touched Wing's face as a disturbing thought made its way to his head. '
A kind, moral person... who also likes fighting... (Y/N)-chan, I hope those sides of yours won't ever have to clash.'
