《Killua X Reader [An Endless Bond]》[9] Aura

Wing only smiled at Killua's question. "I normally don't take in students as easily as this... but since it's coming from you, Killua, I'm willing to make an exception," he replies.
Killua sighed in relief, while you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding as you feel your shoulders drop. "Thanks a lot, Wing," you hear Killua say, as the high tension in the air subsided a little
"Though," he continues, "I want to know why you need me to train them all of a sudden."
Killua gave you a sidelong glance as you remember your conversation with him. Giving him an encouraging nod discreetly, he faced Wing once more.
"To protect them from my brother," he simply states, giving him a steady gaze. Wing hums in understanding. "I see then. I won't be asking the specifics, I think I understand." He stands up. "Learning under me isn't going to be easy, (Y/N), Alluka. Are you prepared?"
"Osu!" You and Alluka say in unison.
"Alright, do you guys have anywhere to stay during your training?"
An awkward silence passes by as Killua, Alluka, and you look at each other uneasily. Wing sighs at this, silently facepalming. "One of you can take Zushi's old room. There's another spare bedroom with a bunk bed," he says, pointing to the different rooms.
"Then, I'll be staying with Alluka in the spare. (Y/N), you can take Zushi's old room," Killua says, taking Alluka's hand and walking to the room. You nod, walking to the room Wing pointed to and settling down.

"Onii-chan, can I stay on the one on top?" She asks, pointing to the top bunk. Killua looks at it cautiously. "If you promise me to be careful and not fall, I'll let you stay."
Alluka only smiled brightly at this, raising her hand excitedly. "I promise, Onii-chan! Yay!!" She giggles, running over to the ladder. She struggles to pull herself up, almost slipping at some point.
"Oi, oi. I said to be careful, geez," he sighs heavily, pushing her up to the top bunk. "Ehehe, thanks!" She smiles sheepishly, scratching the back of her head in slight embarrassment.
Leaning his back against a wall, he replays the set of events that happened just now, 'Alluka's already having a hard time climbing up a simple ladder. She desperately needs physical strength training, not just Nen training...' he thought
"Alluka. I know it was already a lot for you to take in when I said you'll have to learn Nen...but is it okay if I give you strength training as well?" He asks
Alluka looks at him from her top bunk. "It's fine Onii-chan! As long as you'll train Onee-chan too!"
'(Y/N) too?'
Alluka notices Killua's confused look and laughs heartily. "I mean, it would help us fight against Ill-nii better, right?"
Killua's eyes widen, 'She's a lot more aware than I thought.' he thought, slowly closing his eyes as he smiles proudly.
"You know Onii-chan, I hate Ill-nii! He wants to abuse Nanika! And because of him, we can't travel the world anymore, and he hurt Onee-chan too!" Alluka declares, pouting her lips in annoyance.
Killua laughs bitterly. "I know. I hate him too," he says, though there was no mistaking the resentment in his voice. "Hey, Alluka." He says, giving her a stern gaze.

"Hmm...?"
"Don't call Illumi Ill-nii anymore. A bastard like that doesn't deserve to be your brother anyway. If you can do that, I'll be sure to train (Y/N) as well, okay?"
She gives him a close-eyed smile, "Okay!"
_ _ _
The next day, before the start of your Nen training, Killua went up to Wing and asked him, "Hey, is it ok if I train them as well?"
Wing gives him a confused look, "What kind of training?"
"Physical strength training. There's enough space here anyway. There shouldn't be a problem."
Wing only smiles. "You're really taking this seriously. Sure, I'll allow it."
Eventually, you and Alluka were ready to start. Killua moves to the side, leaning on a wall as he did so. "Alright, let's start with the basics of Nen," Wing says calmly, facing his whiteboard and pulling off the cap from his marker. He deftly scribbled down some kanji on it. A big one on top, and four smaller kanji under it.
"Nen refers to the ability to manipulate your aura, also known as life energy," he points to the big kanji on top as he said this, a small smile resting on his face.
'I don't understand the language he wrote in...' you thought, as you take in the words Wing just told you.
"Let me give you an example of what Nen can do." Wing walks to a nearby table and picked up a notebook on top of it. Tearing a clean page off of it, he sets the notebook down and aims the paper in front of a wall opposite from Killua. You notice a pale, white smoke-like thing surround him and the paper.
'Hey... that looks like--'
Suddenly, the paper stiffens and hardens. He throws the paper as if it were a card. You see it swiftly sail across the room and embed itself in the wall. As soon as it was done, the paper softens once more, though it was still stuck in the wall.
You and Alluka gasp in surprise. "Woah, you can do that with life energy?! That's so cool! I wanna do that!" You hear Alluka say. Looking at her, you notice little stars in her eyes as she looks at the embedded paper. You quietly chuckle as you look back at Wing.
"I'm sure you'll be able to do just that soon," says Wing as he gives Alluka a warm, closed-eyed smile. You see Killua silently chuckling by the wall as well. She nods in excitement and continues listening.
"Every person possesses a small amount of life energy. Though in most cases, it's simply discharged." He continues. "There are four major principles of Nen," he states, walking back to his whiteboard and pointing to the four smaller kanji below the larger one that you now know as 'Nen'.
"The ability to build up a shroud of life energy is known as 'Ten'," he points to the first one. "You can make your body harder, and considerably slow the effects of aging," as he said this, you notice that smoke-like thing surround Wing's body again. Your eyes widened a little as you look at him, while he only gave you a knowing smile.
'That looks a lot like the thing surrounding me when I try to look for animals to hunt, but bigger. That's got to be the aura thing.' you thought to yourself.

"And then there's Zetsu. It nullifies your aura. It's effective for concealing your presence and recovering from extreme fatigue," he states as you witness the aura surrounding him disappear.
"This brings us to Ren. It's a technique to create an especially strong aura." When he said this, you began to see a huge spike of aura emanating from him. You recognize its pressure from when you encountered Illumi, yet it felt much gentler and more bearable.
"Can you feel that?" He asked. You nod, "I can see it too,"
Alluka only gives you a confused look. "Eh? You can see it? I can only feel it's pressure!" she questions.
"Impressive," Wing notes, "We'll get to that later."
"Aura is an energy that comes from within humans," he continues, taking on a more serious tone. "Which makes it effective against other humans.... for better or for worse. If you attack a person with Ill intent," he pauses, looking intently at you and Alluka. "...you can use aura to kill."
Despite the serious tension in the room, he calmly walks over to the piece of paper embedded in the wall. Pulling it with a slight amount of force, he was able to slide the paper away from the wall, though the wall was left with a thin line from where the paper was.
"To protect yourself from someone who uses Nen, you must also learn how to use Nen. You must use Ten for defense; block the other person's aura with your own.... otherwise," he holds the paper up for you and Alluka to see. Killua also looked to see what's gonna happen.
You notice the aura from Wing's body again. Slowly, you see it build up in power. Suddenly, in a spike of energy, you see the paper torn to several pieces. You and Alluka gasp as you see each piece settle harmlessly on the floor.
"Your body will be crushed," Wing finishes, with a stern look on his face. You worriedly look at Alluka, expecting her to be in slight fear. Though, she held her ground, staring resolutely at Wing. You smiled to yourself. 'Looks like I worried for nothing.'
"The last one, Hatsu, is an application of your Nen. Otherwise known as your special abilities. Those are the four major principles," he finishes. "Do you understand?"
Slowly, the two of you nod, taking in all the new information.
"Now then," he says. "To be able to use Nen, your Aura Nodes must be opened. Essentially, they're little holes all over your body where aura can flow out," he explained. "There are two ways to open your nodes: Meditation and Initiation," he states, raising his hand and holding out two fingers.
"Initiation is a quicker method. Though it's a very dangerous and frowned upon one. It forcefully opens all of one's nodes through an application of one's Nen, or Hatsu," he gives Killua a sidelong glance at that, to which Killua nods at him in acknowledgment.
"However, since we have plenty of time. I'm going to have Alluka go through the safer method: Meditation," he smiles at Alluka as he said this. "As the name suggests, you slowly learn to open all your Aura Nodes through constant meditation."
Alluka pouts at this, "What kind of method will Onee-chan use?" She says, pointing at you. Wing only chuckles at this. "Alluka, I'm sorry to say this, but (Y/N)-chan already has all her nodes open. It's why she was able to see my Ren," he states kindly, bending down to her level.
'They're open?!' you thought in shock.
"Ehhhh?! No fair, Onee-chan! You're already way ahead of me!" She faces you, crossing her hands to her hips, and pouting petulantly.
You laugh at her adorably childish behavior. "Sorry, sorry. I'm sure you'll be able to catch up eventually."
"She's right, Alluka," Killua speaks up, walking over to Alluka. "We're from the same family after all. I'm sure you'll get ahead of her in no time!" He says, comforting her.
'Get ahead of me, huh? This guy better not be underestimating me.' You thought as a vein pops in your head in annoyance.
"Now, now, let's calm down a bit," Wing says, calling the attention of the three of you. You look back at Wing, a question forming in your head.
"Hey, Wing-san. If you knew the entire time that all my nodes were open. Why didn't you say anything before starting the lesson? It was safe to assume I knew how to use Nen at that point..."
"Well," he starts, facing you with his usual kind smile, "Killua specifically asked me to teach you and Alluka. Therefore it was safe to assume that you didn't know what Nen was, despite you being able to use it."
"Oh... that makes sense," you say quietly, looking down in an embarrassed manner. You hear Killua chuckle at you.
"Anyways, now let me ask something from you, (Y/N)-chan," Wing said. "Can you show me your aura?"
You look at him. "Sure...? I mean, I'll only be using the way I know how to."
"I see. Go ahead."
You nod at him, then you slowly close your eyes, and face your palms up at the ceiling. Killua makes his way closer to watch your ability again up close. Meanwhile, Alluka peers at you curiously.
Slowly, your hair began floating upwards once more, and your aura surrounds you in an impossibly thin manner. Wing's eyes widen at this, visibly baffled.
'Her Ten is shrouding her too thinly, it almost doesn't exist. It's like a mix between Ten and Zetsu. Interesting...'
With your eyes closed, you speak. "I can only use this ability when I want to look for animals," you say. "It works with people and plants too."
"I see, how about objects? Can you sense them?"
"No,"
'I see, she can only sense the life energies of living things. This is not En, obviously.'
"Alright, can you tell me who you sense right now, aside from the three of us?" Wing requests.
You nod. "12 meters from here, there are 3 people in the neighboring house to our right," you start. "The house to the left of us is empty," you state calmly. "And in front of us... there's someone. He's young, probably Alluka's age," you pause. "...and he's coming over here."
"What?!" You hear Killua exclaim.
