Ania woke to the snapping of flames. She blinked her eyes open, gazing about the cave. On the other side of the fire, Ezra was still sleeping. She rolled over and looked outside. The lightning storm had subsided and the planet seemed to thrum with a faint energy that hadn't been there before.

A gust of air caught her attention. She looked back towards the fire. Another Togruta stood beside it. Ania's eyes widened. "Ahsoka?" She whispered.

"No."

The voice that came from the woman was her own. "Who are you then?" Ania narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"You don't recognize me?" The woman held out her arms and turned. "I'm you, Ania. When you're older."

Ania grimaced, noting the several scars on her body. "What happened to you, or me, I suppose."

The older Ania's gaze darkened. "This planet. The Emperor. All things that are yet to come. I bring a warning for you. Do not let your attachments get in the way of your duty." She shot a meaningful look at Ezra. "You must let him go."

Ania leapt to her feet. "My attachments have given me nothing but strength and courage. I won't abandon my friends and I will definietly not abandon Ezra."

"Then you are already lost," The older Ania said. She disappeared as suddenly as she had arrived.

Ania slumped down again and scrubbed at her face. "This planet is messing with me," she hissed. She looked at Ezra and sighed. She stood and stepped out of the cave, surveying the landscape.

"How do I restore this place?" Ania whispered to herself.

"With my brother and I gone, the planet died."

Ania glanced towards the Daughter. Her faint glow illuminated the surroundings. "Is this another place you can appear?"

"Yes. My body resides here and you have felt the Force's presence in this place."

"So how do I help the planet?"

"I must have complete control over you."

Ania started. "Absolutely not. I don't trust you in control of me."

"Suit yourself. You will be grateful for my help later." The Daughter's warm glow disappeared.

"Hey, who were you talking to?" Ezra stepped out of the cave, rubbing his eyes.

"The Daughter." She stood. "We should keep moving if you're ready."

Ezra yawned and nodded. "The sooner we get off this rock, the better."

Hours later, they stood at the base of a small mountain. Atop the mountain was a tomb. Ania glanced back at the other tomb, already faded in the distance. She had recognized the symbol on the side of the other building. It was the Daughter's tomb.

Ezra was already climbing the stairs carved into the mountain. Ania shook the doubts from her mind and scaled up behind him. "So," Ezra panted. "Who buried the Son if both the Father and Daughter were dead?"

"Anakin and Obi-Wan I would assume. The Daughter already had a tomb built so who's to say there wasn't a second one ready as well?" Ania caught up to him.

They climbed the last few steps and gazed at the tomb. Carvings and runes covered the entire building. Ania shuddered as an unnatural cold settled over her. "I feel it too," Ezra said. He waved a hand and the stone covering the tomb rolled aside. Ania followed him in.

The tomb was black inside, except for a small patch of moonlight. The moonlight rested on a tomb covering, creating patterns on it. Ania knelt beside the covering and traced a hand over the inscription carved on it. "To those who dare, I give a warning. A sheltered soul is safe from harm but a barren one is ripe."

"What does that mean?"

"I have no idea. Nothing good I would imagine." Ania stood and headed to the door. "Let's go find the dagger and altar. We know where the Son is now." Ezra didn't follow her. Ania glanced back. He drew closer to the tomb and reached a hand towards it. Ania flung her hand out in panic. "Ezra, no!"

It was too late. Ezra pushed the cover off the tomb. Instantly, a cloud of darkness hissed out of the tomb. Ania ducked and covered her head with her hands as it streaked over her. She watched it speed away into the planet, fear filling her gaze.

"Whoa," Ezra breathed. She glanced at him, anger seeping into her. Ania pushed it down and looked at the tomb.

She expected to see nothing but bones. Surprisingly, there was a body there. The gray man's eyes were closed and he looked as though he were merely sleeping. Red tattoos covered his face and his hands were clasped over his chest.

Ania backed away. "Ezra, we should go."

"Look at him. How is he still..." Ezra didn't seem to hear her.

A whispering filled her montrals. Ania grabbed her head in fear. She tried to shake the voices away but they only grew louder. She collapsed to her knees. Ezra whipped his head to her and his mouth moved, but she couldn't hear what he was saying. Her eyes rolled back and she fell limply on the ground.

"Ania!" Ezra grabbed her shoulders and shook her. Her head rolled back. "Ania!" Ezra cried again. She lurched forward and gasped for air. Ezra searched her gaze intently. Something felt off about her. "Ania? Are you all right?"

She looked at him with green eyes. A new aura emanated from her, one of power and serenity. "Foolish boy. You didn't think of what would happen if you opened that tomb!" It was Ania's mouth that spoke, but it wasn't her voice Ezra heard.

"What are you?" Ezra released Ania and backed away.

"I am the Daugher." Ania stood. Her body hadn't changed at all, and yet, Ezra felt like she towered over him. "You have released my brother's soul! He'll be looking for her now."

"Let Ania go," Ezra ordered.

"I won't. Not until you possess the tools to protect her and aide her. If I release her, my brother may try to possess her and force me out." The Daughter headed out of the tomb.

"Hey, wait! What happens if he forces you out?" Ezra trailed behind.

"It will kill Ania. I have become intertwined with her. Remove one, and the other will perish."

"So, what do I do?" Ezra gestured exasperatedly.

"I will take you to retrieve the dagger. My brother will gather his strength and find a host before attacking." They reached the base of the tomb. Ezra continued to follow her as she walked towards a cave.

Ezra watched the surface of the planet around them. As they walked past, several of the collapsed structures suddenly lifted and restored themselves. The fallen rocks floated up into the air and on the horizon, the sun was rising. As the sunlight touched the land, it turned green and sprang to life everywhere.

"What's going on?" Ezra asked.

"The planet has been shrouded by our deaths for so long that it decayed and fell into ruin. Now that our souls are here, it is being restored."

"Is there any way we can make it so that you..well...I guess so that you aren't actually there inside of Ania?" Ezra struggled around his words.

The Daughter paused. "You mean, make it so that we are not individuals, but rather, I am simply there."

"I mean can you make it so that you can't take control of Ania and she won't hear your voices and such," Ezra explained.

The Daughter resumed her walking. "That is beyond my knowledge. If it can be done, I would be grateful. It is strange being forced inside of a body and knowing that you cannot do anything you should be able to."

"Well, that's probably how Ania feels right now."

They reached the cave and descended into it. The spiraling stairway went down a long way. Ezra peered over the side. At the bottom of the cave, green fire erupted to life. A pyramidal type altar sat in the middle of the fire. The Daughter stopped on the platform where the stairs ended. "I can go no further. Even in this mortal body, the Altar will not let me cross."

Ezra raised his eyebrows suspiciously and turned to the fire. "All right. Here goes nothing." He took a running leap and pushed off with the Force. He flew over the green fire and tumbled onto the platform where the altar rested. Ezra stood up and wiped the dust off himself. "What am I looking for?" He called to the Daughter.

"Reach into the Altar. It will give you the dagger," she replied.

Ezra approached the altar cautiously. It glowed faintly and he felt waves of energy ripple off it. Inside the altar, a handle was suspended. Ezra grabbed the handle and pulled it out. As soon as it was in his hand, an ornate dagger began to form. It looked like it was made from green obsidian and unearthly whispers echoed from it. Ezra attached the dagger to his belt and jumped back up to the stairs.

"What does this do, exactly?" Ezra asked. The Daughter was already heading back up.

"It is the only weapon that can kill us," came the reply. "It can also separate our souls from a mortal body. You will have to use it to control my brother."

"That sounds easy enough."

"Don't underestimate my brother. He will stop at nothing to take Ania, especially because he knows I'm here," The Daughter admonished. They stepped out of the cave into sunlight. Ezra blinked in surprise. The planet had changed completely from what it had been before. "As long as I am in control of Ania, he will not be able to touch her."

That caught his attention. Ezra pointed a finger at the Daughter. "You said that once I had the tools to protect Ania, you would let her go. Well, I have them. Let her go."

The Daughter looked vaguely surprised and amused. "Didn't you hear what I said?"

"It doesn't matter. You had your chance to live. You're not controlling Ania anymore. She can take care of herself," Ezra growled.

The Daughter raised her eyebrows. "Very well, then. I will come when I'm needed."

Ezra lunged forward as Ania's body fell abruptly. He caught her before she hit the ground. Ania blinked her eyes open and gasped a little. Ezra felt relief as her eyes returned to their normal blue. Ania sat up, rubbing her forehead.

"I swear if she doesn't stop doing that," Ania shook her head angrily. Ezra pulled her to her feet. "Where did you get that?" Ania gestured to the dagger on Ezra's belt.

"The Daughter took me to it." He pointed back at the cave. "She said it's the only thing that can kill them or separate them from their host."

Ania held out a hand. Ezra passed the dagger to her. She tilted it up to catch the sunlight. "It's amazing." Her head shot up, noticing something. "When did it get sunny out?" She looked up and spotted the rocks floating overhead. "And what about that?"

"When the Daughter took control of you the planet revived. I think since both of their souls are here, it's restoring the planet," Ezra reasoned. "Speaking of souls, where are we going to find the Son and how do you plan to unite them?"

"I'm not sure how to unite them yet," Ania raised a hand to her chin. "But as to finding the Son, I know exactly where he is." Ezra looked at her questioningly. "The Well of the Dark Side."
