The next stage of the games were to be a one on one battle royal. But right now we were taking a short intermission.
I took my time and went down the hall, to a vending machine.
I looked around, making sure no one was near. With a violent shove, I knocked a few snacks from the wires and to the open slot.
Satisfied, I grabbed a protein bar from the assortment and opened the wrapper. I leaned against the machine and munched on my bar.
"Shifty trick for an aspiring hero."
I nearly chocked on my bar. I looked over to see Endeavor illuminating the hallway. I got nervous and tried to slip out of the way. He noticed this and quickly stopped me.
"That's an odd quirk you have, what can it do?"
Uncomfortable in the presences of his towering intimidation, I replied. "I can change physical forms." I muttered.
"Hmm. Sounds pretty useless." He insulted.
His insult angered me deeply. My tail swung furiously, and my eye twitched.
It would be suicide to try and attack and kill him. As much as I wanted. It's a foreign concept for me not to kill and eat the things that bother me. Call me an emotional eater if you want but, it's one less pain in my side.
But saved by another, Denki ran by.
"Hey Bokkusu! Everyone is looking for you, all the girls were told to put these on and meet in the arena." He shoved a yellow uniform in my arms.
I glanced at the monstrosity in my arms and unfolded the top and got a good look at it. It was some ugly as all Tartarus cheer uniform. There was no way in Tartarus that it would go on my body. I chunked the monstrosity in the rolling garbage can beside the vending machine along with my wrapper.

"Duty calls." I spoke over to Endeavor, gathering the few stragglers I knocked to the bottom the machine.
I walked out of the hallway, before I was halted.
"Stop right there!" Those words sent shivers of instinct and De Ja Vu being held back. "I'm not done speaking with you."
My body twitched in annoyance. I turned on my heel to face him.
"Of course." I purred in hostility.
"You've advanced, stay out of Shoto's way. He doesn't need some little girl getting in his way of becoming the number one hero."
Weakness. I felt shining on my cheeks as my eyes grew vibrantly in a illuminating hue.
I tilted my head, my bangs covering my dilated pupils and I glared at him. Only the green glow would be visible to him.
"What makes you so sure a product of you will ever make it to such an honor. You couldn't, what makes you think he can? You think giving him a little bit of two contradicting powers will make him better? I've noticed he doesn't use his fire. I'm guessing it's in spite of you. He likes that it gets a reaction out of you. Ever since you showed your face here you've been flaunting your weakness. If that information gets into the wrong hands, things could be catastrophic. You could never surpass All Might, and it drives you insane. To what point? What have you been willing to do to force your unachievable dream unto a product of you?" I looked up from my bangs, so he could look directly into his eyes.
"I know what you've been doing behind closed doors, Enji Todoroki. Mighty heroic of you."
I sucked my teeth in excitement.
"Who knows? No one? Your best friend? Your enemies? Does the world know? You can forget that silly thought of becoming number one hero. You might be safer if you hid away and didn't try to pursue any stupid ideals. You couldn't make it, and you never will."

I turned the corner, by now my knees were shaking violently. My breath was ragged. My heart was thumping in my chest.
I had just planned my own funeral.
There was no way in Tartarus I had the actions to back up my words, but the adrenaline got me high. High off my own hormones.
My life is turning upside down, might as well add a cherry on the top. A cherry red explosive riding on the top of my cake colored float in a parade of cars on fire.
But it feels so nice.
Poking and prodding of my flesh could never amount to the feeling of insane ideas stinging my skin.
I couldn't move, my heart wouldn't stop. I slammed my knuckles into my mouth, baring on the flesh with my inhuman canines.
The pain that tingled up my arm was enough to bring me back.
I will advance in this round, but I won't beat Todoroki.
I can't beat him, not even at my best. I was weak. I figured out my standing in this rabid pack of animals during the first day I was here.
But Endeavor is clearly not confident his son is all he talks him up to be if he had to come threaten an itsy bitsy little girl who isn't even fighting against him in the first round.
Shoto Todoroki is not Endeavor hoped he'd be if he stooped low enough to do this.
That would've been perfect to add in my mindless rant!
Tartarus!
That would've summed up my whole point! Endeavor is probably more confused that anything because I didn't think enough to actually form a believable argument.
Now I'm going to seem like an idiot kid. I almost broke my cover over a stupid adrenaline craving. Maybe he'll feel bad for me and not say anything to anybody about it.
How stupid can I be!!!

(Small Exploits)
In the beginning, there was darkness... Then Leo found himself on another world. A world with 'magic', dozens of races, and a very lopsided birth ratio. Follow Leo as he uses his knowledge from earth to make a splash on this new world, trying to change it for the better while he stumbles into many (Small Exploits). Additional Tags : [On r/HFY] [Rapid Power Progression] [Casual World Building] (Edit : Because I don't want to get in trouble for excessive sexual content, I'm going to be skipping over "##.5 Chapters" whenever possible. They are not really core to the story, so look else where for those chapters if you're that interested in the "Plot".)

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.
