《Traitor| Deku x reader》•33•

My first foot stepped perfectly on the line. As I did I could hear the rumbles as people began to stop at the foot of the cliff.
I didn't stop though. Now, while everyone was watching me get across would be the perfect time to do some tricks.
I rushed forward on the line.
I started off by putting a lot of tension on the rope and letting it push me back into the air. I flipped forward in the air and landing on the rope, toe to heel.
Using the force from my landing, I quickly bent down, standing on my hands. My legs went up, making a straight line. I landed backwards.
I jumped up and flipped backwards a few times. Using my hands every other time and doing areils the other times. Reaching the end of this section of the race, I did a big finish.
I launched myself into the air using all the built up force I generated. While nearly at a right angle with the rope, I twisted in the air several times. Before landing on the earth that marked the in between of the obstacles.

I landed facing the multitude that watched in awe.
Deciding to be extremely extra, I did a simple round off to send me on my way the the next section. While on my merry way, I spotted the lead of the race. He was walking around rather sillily. But also slowly.
Picking up my pace I rushed for him, or rather his title of lead.
As I got within a few meters of him, I stepped on an uneven patch of dirt. An explosion sounded, dust and dirt was sent back with me. I landed two meters back, lying in the dirt.

Angered, I spit sand from my mouth. My already scratched up arms took the heat once again. I managed to pull myself to my feet as I noticed Bakugo, exploding his way over the mine field to catch up with Todoroki.
I have to beat them. The ground tumbled as more people approached.
I pushed my pain and out of breath self aside. I sprinted off, back into the mine field.
I stoped at the edge, rather than charging in blindly.
I analyzed the pattern of the mines. It was in a close nit pattern of that of a checkered board. If I could step strategically in the places between the mines, I could push on them with my heel, it would create a bit of a boost.
I backed up a few feet and pushed forward. The first on I detonated unbalanced me a bit, but my tail quickly stabilized me.
I pressed onward. The mines didn't give me to much of a boost, only enough to get me to the next place I needed to step. By the time I nearly got to the end, a large explosion sounded from the very start of the field. A dark blur zoomed over head. It landing on the shoulders of Bakugo and Todoroki, somehow pushing itself off their shoulders.
Finally, I made it back into the center of the arena.
"First place: Izuku Midoryia, class 1-A!"
"Second place: Shoto Todoroki, class 1-A!"
"Third place: Katsuki Bakugo, class 1-A."
"And forth place: Pandora Bokkusu, class 1-A!"
After us, the stadium began piling up with students from all classes.
After everyone made it to the finish line, I plopped down in the grass. I was tired from the race and was ready for a nap.
"Dear, would you like for me to heal those scrapes you got." I looked up from the grass to see a tiny old lady talking to me.

"Okay?" I replied, questioningly. I raised my arm for her to see. She placed her lips on my arm, sending tingles throughout them. I felt even more sleepy from her healing.
My eyes drooped a bit. She took notice and nudged my arm with a package. I took it from her and nodded a bow of thanks. It was a protein bar. It would certainly replenish my energy for this next round.
I opened the package and took a bite from the bar. It was a delicious salted caramel and peanut flavor.
With a feeling of satisfaction, I got up and skipped over to Izuku.
"Congrats Izu~" I cooed to him. I latched myself to his arm, nudging the brown haired, Uraraka to the side.
"That was quite the plan you thought up back there."
He flushed at my praise and pressing against him.
He vegan to stutter out something before being cut off by Midnight.
"Only the first 42 will advance. Next up we have a!" The screen spun through choices. "Calvary battle! You will get in teams of four, a rider, a lead, and two on the side. The objective is to wear these headbands on your head that consist of the total points of your teammates. You will want to try to grab other team's headbands. Whoever has the most points in the end will be winners and advance. Your rider can not touch the ground, or else your disqualified! You will have four minutes to get you teams. By the way, first place is worth 10million points!"
Suddenly, everyone flicked away from Izuku. He looked almost devastated, and terrified.
I took his hands in mine and looked him in the eye, smiling. "Don't worry, I'll help you!"
He looked at me in disbelief.
"And I'll be on your team too." The brown haired girl butted in from behind me.
"Hey! Fleabag!" I turned my head to face Bakugo and Kirishima walking towards me.
"Hey Bokkusu! Be on our team." Kirishima beaconed me.
"That's not a request!" Bakugo clarified.
I turned back to Izuku.
"Sorry, guess I don't have a choice then." I shrugged.
I leaned forward and rubbed our cheeks together quickly before running off in the direction of Bakugo and Kirishima.

Leveling Up Is Better Than Reality
If you've ever been called a slacker, you know, it's not that you're lazy, it's just that you're not interested. Your values don't allow you to work hard as you wish to live in a heaven-like world where you don't have to do anything. As Gandhi said, ""Be the change you wish to see in the world...'' Wise words indeed. This story's about lazy- I mean an idealist hero named Zellin living in an RPG-like world. I'm going to deem this work as PG-13, but you never know...
