I entered the clothing shop with time to spare. I walked in and went to the desk. She was sitting there on her phone. She had a small backpack resting on one of her shoulders. As she saw me approaching, she smiled and turned her phone off.

"Ready to go?" She spoke softly.

I breathed in and nodded my head.

"How about we go get lunch? My treat." She said almost teasingly.

We went to an outdoor mall down the street and to a cafe. We got a booth and sat down.

"So darling, how old are you exactly?" She asked, flagging down a waitress.

"Almost 16." I answered. The waitress looked at me for my order, "Gyudon and milk tea."

"Soba and green tea." She returned her attention to me. "So that means you're still in school. Where do you go?"

Do I tell her I'm going to UA? It's temporary but it's still embarrassing. I don't know any other schools? I don't want her to think I'm a loser. Oh well, might as well.

"I go to UA." I stuttered out. She looked at me amused.

"I didn't take you for the hero type, props to you. You must be strong and smart. Plus you're very cute. Looks like I got the package deal." She cooed to me.

"Well," I hesitated, "what about you?"

The waitress returned with our drinks and informed us that our food would be out in a few minutes. The woman took a sip of her tea and looked back at me.

"I'm 19. And I'm in a college for the arts." She answered.

"Woah. What kind of art? Music or-"

"I come up with and design clothes." She cut me off.

"Wow, that's amazing." I mused.

Then I remembered. I still didn't know her name. I opened my mouth, about to ask her name but, as if she read my mind.

"My name's Nariko Maato. But just call me Nariko."

"Pandora Bokkusu." I replied.

She smiled, the waitress brought our food around and sat the dishes in front of us. I picked up my chopsticks and took a bite of my meal. Not long after swallowing my food, I turned back to Nariko.

"You can probably guess my quirk, what about you?" I asked, wiggling my ears and tail.

She giggled and answered, "My quirk is Light Refraction. I can change and manipulate light."

"Oh..." I took another bite of my pork bowl. We sat in silence, eating some of our food. It was awkward.

"Hey, Pandora? Want to get out of here?"She leaned over the table towards me. She left money on the table and pulled me out of my seat. We walked through the mall and stopped at a Boba Tea shop. We got our drinks and continued our walk.

"Oh my! Look, Nariko! It's so cute!" I stopped and looked into a pet shop, at the cats playing in the window.

There were multiple different Tabbies, Ragdolls, and Manx cats.

"Pandora, look over here." She guided me inside the shop and to a larger encloser. Inside were a few fully grown cats. She specifically pointed out a pure black cat with green eyes. "He looks just like you."

The shop keeper walked over to us, "I wouldn't suggest that one, he's got an attitude and knack for scratching people." He warned.

Not paying him much mind, I picked the temperamental feline. He immediately curled up and began purring. His affection and purring made me start purring myself. He nuzzled his nose against my cheek. And I nuzzled back.

"Well, I think you're a one in a million match." The shop keeper mused.

"How much for him?" I asked.

"4,000 yen."

"I'll take him." I said.

He quickly went around the shop and gathered all the necessities for raising a cat. Litter, litter box, food, flea collars. He put it all on the counter and placed it all in bags. I was snuggling up to the cat when I heard the snap of a camera. My ears perked up at the noise. I looked over to the source and revealed Nariko holding her phone up.

I looked at her confused. "What was that?" I asked.

"Silly. I took a picture. And...now it's my screen saver." She smiled out.

I gave a look of shock. That's so embarrassing.

I turned my head to the side, refusing to look her in the eye out of embarrassment.

We walked over to the cash register. He brought up out total and I paid for all the supplies.

Nariko took the bag and ushered me out of the store.

We walked down down the side walk talking and taking turns petting the cat.

"So what are you going to name him?" Nariko asked.

"I don't know." I said, looking down at the feisty feline in my arms.

"Well do you want to think about it over a, I don't know, movie at my place?" She suggested.

That would be fun. It's not like I'm in any hurry to get back to that smelly old bar. Or to that crusty old man.

"I couldn't think of anything I'd rather do." I said cheerfully.

We continued our walk down the street which eventually led us to an apartment complex. It wasn't lavish, and it wasn't run down. Humble. That was the perfect way to describe it.

She led me up a couple of floors and to a grey door, with a welcoming mat saying, 'go away'.

Humorous.

She unlocked the door and pulled me inside.

When you walked in you were met with an open room. A small kitchen was too the left, taking up the corner. A marble bar created it's perimeter. The kitchen's floor tiles changed to carpet a few feet from the bar.

The carpet lined the living room. It was simple. A black couch in front of a fair sized TV. She also had a desk type thing, sitting at the edge of the couch. Papers and pencils were scattered across it.

She's a designer.

"You can put you bags down anywhere and you can let the cat down, I don't mind a bit of fur." She spoke.

I nodded and sat the cat down to run and take in his surroundings. I put my bags in a corner by the door and put my phone in my pocket.

"Come on, in here. I've got a DVD player in my room."

I followed her down the short hallway.

"There's the bathroom." She pointed to the door in the middle of the walk way.

"Here's my room, and the room right there is just a vacant room I use as a art room." She pointed to the two doors on opposite ends of the hall.

The twisted open the knob to her room and went inside. I followed her in to reveal a semi large bedroom.

Mounted on the wall was a decent sized flatscreen, across from it was her bed. It had a black and white bedspread and grey sheets.

There was a desk with a computer and a few textbooks stacked in the corner.

I looked around and she had several band posters up. As I was looking around I felt the cat rush between my legs and jump onto the bed. He curled up and rested peacefully.

"What do you want to watch?" Nariko asked. I noticed she was squatted down, rummaging through some DVD's.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Horror movies?"

"Kay!" She popped a disk in the player and grabbed a remote.

"Come on, Kitten. Don't be shy." She cooed to me as she laid down on the bed next to the black cat.

I hesitantly joined her on the opposite side. We rested our heads in our hands as the cat curled up between us.

The credits came on after the movie finished. I looked down and began stroking the cat.

"What about Salem?" Nariko's voice brought me back to her.

"Salem." I hummed. "I like it. Like the Salem Witch Trials."

Eventually we fell asleep watching another movie.

I woke up to the soothing touch of someone stroking my ears.

I purred at the feeling.

"Well good morning."

I looked up to see Nariko. My head was resting on her chest. Our legs were enter-tangled. Salem was resting on my stomach, cradled in my arms.

I shifted, sitting halfway up. Salem woke and yawned. He stood up and stretched.

I looked around, taking in the room's surroundings.

"What time is it?" I asked, seeing the sun peak in through the blinds.

"8 o'clock." She replied, showing me on her phone, above the picture of me holding the cat at the shop.

"Oh." I yawned, trying to fully wake up.

"Hey, Kitten. Aren't your folks going to be worried about you." She asked, tucking a loose strand of hair out of my face.

I doubt if they'd be worried but they'd be mad if I didn't show up at least once.

"Yeah, your right." I admitted, reluctantly.

"Hey, UA is out for the weekend right? You maybe want to hang with me for the time?" She offered.

It was like music to my ears. Not having to go back there all weekend!

"I think I might just." I smiled.

"Well then. Go check in with your people, and meet me at the mall, I've got to work for a couple hours but there's no reason we can't still hang. You can leave your stuff, and Salem here. I'll feed him while your gone."

God she was a dark angel from heaven.

We stood up from the bed and I rushed over to hug her. I mumbled a 'thank you' into her chest. She ran her hand over my head and gently raised my face to look at her.

With her hand in my hair she leaned down to kiss me deeply. The contrast of the coolness from her lip ring and the warmth of her lips sent a flare up of fireworks in my belly.

After a few seconds she released me. I brought my hands up to my face to hide my embarrassment. It seemed to be the only thing coating my body every second of the way. The feeling of her lips on mine was pleasurable. My fingertips grazed my lips.

She noticed my flustered state and quickly brought me into her for a hug.

"First time, I assume." She chuckled, playing with a strand of my hair.

I nodded my head against her chest.

"Sweet baby. Go on. Go let your folks know you're ok, I'll be waiting for you at the shop."

She nudged me forward as I regained my composure.

"Ok I'll see you there."

I slipped my shoes on and ran out the door. I had my new phone in the side pocket of Tomura's baggy pants.

I wish I would've changed.
