《SWEATER WEATHER | dylan sprayberry [✓]》69; not the offspring

The song was about to end, yet Dylan was still looking at Ellie, completely mesmerised by her. She didn't see that, though – if she accidentally saw that, she'd probably think he was one hell of a creeper. But he couldn't help it; all those lyrics he had sung into her ear, all those dancing moves he used, all those moments they shared...it wasn't nothing. And frankly, Dylan wasn't letting the opportunity slip away.

"That was really sweet, but why so cheesy?" Ellie asked once the song had ended, and she raised her head to look at him.

He bit the inside of his lip, his heart beating fast. "You didn't like it?"

The blonde smiled, "I did. That's a really sweet song. But I'm asking why so cheesy song?"

"Ugh..." Dylan didn't know what to say. She wasn't ready – heck no, he wasn't ready. "I thought it was good for dancing." He did that, he ran away from the danger. He's a master, that's how you do it!

"I gotta agree," Ellie admitted, smiling warmly. He noticed her cheeks were slightly redder than a minute ago – probably from dancing. They were making her even cuter, being so noticeable on her pale face.

There was just so much to her. Everything about her was simply amazing, and even the little things she found bad about herself would make him smile when he'd think about them, because he knew without them she probably wouldn't be the same, and that's what he liked about her. He simply couldn't imagine Ellie that doesn't talk that much, or is so energetic. It's what she was made of. And him, he was simply in love with all those little things.

Realizing what he'd just said in his thoughts made him suddenly laugh like an idiot, and he covered his face with hands. Quoting a One Direction song definitely wasn't necessary nor needed right now. Though, he couldn't help to notice the truthfulness of the lyrics, no matter how much he disliked the song.

"What?" the girl asked with a smile, looking at him curiously.

"Nothing," he replied, rolling his eyes. If he answered, he'd have to explain why he was thinking about that song and things would go down. He knew it had to be done sooner or later, and although he wanted it to be sooner, a part of him was constantly choosing later.

Ellie just opened her mouth when a very – to Dylan – familiar voice started blasting through the speakers cut her mid-word, 'My friend's got a girlfriend..'. He couldn't believe The Offspring were on shuffle – he couldn't. He liked them a lot, they were his favourite band, but they weren't something he wanted for this date – no, it's not a date, it's a mini homecoming, dumbass.

Think fast, think fast.

He was definitely unsure how to react. He was lost – a lost boy. A part of him wanted to let the song finish, before changing it – he was one of those people who hated stopping the song before the end – whilst another part of him wanted to change it to some slow song, perhaps to Amnesia – Ellie liked 5sos, right? – or Ed Sheeran's Autumn Leaves, because he knew Why Don't You Get a Job? was totally going to ruin the lovely atmosphere.

But as soon as Ellie's lips started moving in sync with the lyrics, he started thinking this might've been a good thing – they both liked The Offspring, and it could be a good relaxing song. Right?

"Don't you dare change it." Ellie put her index finger on his chest again – and again, shivers ran down his spine at the touch – and slightly pushed it, smirking at him. "Seriously, Dylan Muse Sprayberry, if you change this song I will pull a Violet from Teen Wolf and chop your head off."

What surprised him the most was the dead seriousness he said the words with, sending glares and smirking on a Violet-esque way – for a moment, he thought she was absolutely serious. And when he realized she was joking, he couldn't believe how the hell this girl hadn't gotten a role in some supernatural show – Teen Wolf, American Horror Story, or perhaps even Supernatural.

"Pussycat," she whispered at him challengingly, before turning around and starting to do some really crazy and weird dance moves to the song, singing in sync with the lyrics.

Dylan saw no reason against joining her, and they spent the next three minutes dancing and singing like two idiots. He was surprised no one found them and yelled at them for disturbing public property – that was probably because they were too far in the park. But he was absolutely surprised with the ease Ellie danced and sang with, not even caring about being out of tune and her voice cracking. It was like she didn't care about anything, at all.

Hell, this girl was getting better every moment.

While he, a professional actor, had to practically use all of his will to stay cool and not nervous around this girl, she absolutely gave no damns about him being here. Ellie had no problems with insecurity, and he knew she was well aware of the fact she wasn't on good terms with getting the right tune. But no – Dylan, who was a musician and an actor, couldn't do the same thing.

As the last sounds from the speakers faded, Dylan started clapping at Ellie, grinning. The blonde bowed down, waving at the invisible crowd beside Dylan. She thanked them, before calling Dylan over. He joined her in the middle of 'their place', still not completely over her confidence.

"Thank you, all of you, you were an amazing audience. The audience." Ellie chuckled, and winked at Dylan. "I wanted to let you know this lad over here made this all come true, and my assbutt's responsible for everything. So if you don't mind, I would absolutely love to ask for a dance."

Dylan accepted with enthusiasm, putting his hands on Ellie's waist, while she wrapped her hands around his neck. "Aren't guys supposed to ask girls for dance?" he chuckled, looking directly into her eyes.

"Yes," the blonde said with a shrug and a huge grin on her face, "but this is modern times, assbutt. Things changed, and now girls can ask boys for dance. Or on a date. Or to be their boyfriend. Or to get married with them. It's totally cool now, you know?"

Nothing's as cool as having your hands around my neck, my hands on your waist and the two of us dancing to Stop and Stare by Coldplay.

"Eleanor Rose Oswald, you're the most beautiful and wonderful and amazing and perfect and original human being I've ever met, and I think I'm in love with you."
