《Alpha (under construction - rewrite)》Chapter Nineteen

"A war?!?" My voice was probably louder than necessary, but I felt that it was warranted.
Why, what was the point? We had left, we were safe, weren't we?
As if hearing my thoughts, which he seemed to do a lot of these days, Ajax spoke up,"he lives, we can't risk waiting for him to die, as long as he is alive you could be killed. I won't take that chance." The last part was said with such conviction that my knees went weak, how did I get so lucky?
The room became eerily quiet and I found myself shifting uncomfortably, not quite sure what to do next.
Ajax then spoke to the others in the room, directing them to where we should be taken. All of my sisters, joined by their mates (of course,) headed left towards what I guessed was the guest rooms.
Like my little play on words there.
As I was chuckling to myself quietly, I know, how odd, Ajax has grabbed my hand and was now pulling me along behind him.
I stumbled over myself in an attempt to stay upright as Ajax walked briskly through the house, or mansion.
We were going in the opposite direction to everyone else and this made me slightly nervous. I couldn't understand why, we'd already swapped spit. I shuddered at that, perhaps I shouldn't refer to us kissing as spit swapping. It ruins the fairytale, or right now the nightmare.
He was still walking rather quickly, I was running. What can I say, my legs were never the longest.
"Ajax, please slow down." He stopped abruptly after my plea causing me to crash into his back and then proceed to fall onto my ass.
He cursed quietly and then picked my up into his arms princess style and continued to carry me down the hall way until we reached a black door.

With me still in his arms he kicked open the door and carried me over the thresh hold. He then threw me onto the bed and jumped on top of me, fastening my mouth to his.
His tongue plundered into my mouth and I dug my hands into his hair in an attempt to keep him there. He pulled my body to his wrapping me in a tight embrace as he moved his mouth to my neck, "may I?"
I hadn't a clue about what he was asking but I nodded along anyway, he then began pressing open mouthed kisses along my neck and then sinking his teeth into it.
Now I had a clue.
The pain wasn't as excruciating as the first time but I still felt the sting. I tried pushing him away but then a veil of pleasure covered my mind and I found myself hugging him closer to me.
He was sucking my blood, but I'd be damned if. said it didn't feel good.
I really have to ask him why he keeps doing that, and why he enjoys it so much.
He removed his mouth and then lapped at the bite before breathing into my hair and rolling onto his back taking me with him.
He then looked at me whilst playing with a strand of my hair.
"I missed you." He whispered this as he continued to stare deep into my eyes.
I felt a shiver go down my spine as I finally realised just how serious the situation actually was.
We could have been killed, I never would have seen him or my sisters again.
"I almost lost you," his words may have been whispers but it didn't hide the pain or anger he had tried so hard to cover for the sake of his family as well as mine.

"But you didn't." I comforted him by pulling his head into my neck and holding on for dear life.
"He will come soon, you must be prepared to fight, my darling." He removed his face from my neck as he said this, his eyebrows drawn close to his eyes and his mouth was set in a grim line. A wrinkle appeared in between his eyebrows and I raised my thumb in an attempt to smooth it out.
I then smiled seductively, at least I thought I did, and whispered into his ear, "how about you teach me then."
A wide grin then appeared on his face before he slapped a loud kiss onto my lips.
"Harder!"
Now I know what this seems like, and no it's not, we are not consummating our relationship. Oh no, my man had so many more better ideas. This current one consisted of me punching his stomach in hopes that he would at least move, he didn't.
I sighed shivering, it was the middle of the night and there seemed to be a chill in the air. I was currently stood in a tank top and a pair of pyjama pants whilst the wind was howling at an unforgiving speed and temperature.
My teeth began to chatter and I was rubbing myself in an attempt to stay warm. Ajax was beginning to get annoyed, I felt slightly guilty so I followed his wishes and threw a punch.
This one didn't land on his stomach, not even his chest, nope, it landed on his nose.
Blood gushed out of his nose and I gasped loudly in shock, maybe a little horror as well.
I then made a quick grab for his shirt pushing it into his nose, only now did he not just stumble, he fell straight onto his back taking me with him.
We landed in a heep a few feet further than where we had been standing and I looked up to his face and winced.
He didn't look annoyed, he looked angry.
