《The Human Luna》Part 2

I jabbing pain brought me out of my sleep. I yelped out and grabbed my abdomen.
I looked up to see Dan standing in front of me wiping his hand on his white tshirt.
"God I hate touching you. Get out bitch we're here."
Tears came to my eyes again but I held them back. My father used to cuddle and laugh with me on the couch with my mom.
This man was disgusted by having to touch me in order to punch me. I climbed out and looked at the house. It was average. White and lots of windows.
I went up to the attic and sneezed. It was really dusty. I went down and sneakily grabbed the broom, cleaner, and a rag.
I got started.
2 hours later I had the room looking brand new. The walls were light grey and the flooring tiles were sparkling. There was a huge window with a bench seat that looked over the city.
A small bathroom that included of a shower attached to the room.
I smiled to myself. This room was truly beautiful. I saw that it was 8pm and my stomach grumbled. I had no furniture. At all.
Dan didn't bother being the gross mattress I slept on or the small nightstand I had.
I walked over to my bag and opened the secret pocket I had sewn in. I pulled out a thick stack of bills.
Ever since I started working I had put away almost all the money to save for moving out. But now that I couldn't I might as well use it on my room.
I opened the window and grabbed onto the tree that stood to the left of it. Slowly inching my way down the tree I finally got to the bottom.
I had taken my whole backpack with me containing my $15'000. I walked around and asked people for directions until I found an IKEA.

Walking in I picked out a queen sized mattress, a dresser, 2 nightstands and a desk with a soft rotating chair. A bunch of pillows for my bed and bench.
Then I got started on decor. I found a whole bunch of LED lights and bought 2 packs.
Then grabbed odd knickknacks. A fuzzy carpet, a couple plants, a bedspread and stuff for my bathroom.
Then I went out and got myself school stuff. Since I was starting at a new school I had to have stuff.
I found the clothing area and found a couple new hoodies, sweatshirts, leggings, sweatpants and pajamas.
Lastly, the most important thing, I got a keypad lock that I could install on my door.
After I had everything I went to the food court and ate the biggest meal I've had in around 5 months.
Every shop I went to, I paid the extra money so they would come and deliver it tomorrow. I knew the family would be going out to buy the twins more stuff so it would be me home alone.
The only stuff I had with me was the school stuff and clothes. Everything else would come tomorrow.
I smiled and looked around. It was around 12am now. Maybe, my life would get better. I had to find a job but that wouldn't be too hard.
Maybe I would have a better life here.
