If you don't like this book, just don't read it but please don't punish my work with no comments. My hard work doesn't deserve this, I don't deserve this thank you. A VERY GOOD Reason why I shouldn't give you updates bc I LEFT ALREADY. But I still update this book bc I thought you liked it.
I said it once, I said it twice, I have to say it again. Please👏comment👏it👏takes👏 less👏 than👏 me 👏writing 👏an👏 entire👏 book. And don't say that I'm rude bc no, I'm not. First off, you have no right to call me that and I'm sick of being called rude when I just express what almost EVERY author is feeling.
Comments are like the only payment we get, they are feedback, most of them are fun to read through. So please, help me make my last days here a little bit more enjoyable bc I won't come back for anything a second time.

Taehyung awoke to a weird sound. His mind was drowsy and tired but he immediately shot up because he was panicked, scared that the killing part of the circle has started already, fearfully looking around just to fall back onto the ground beneath him. His lids were coated with the dried tears he has cried for his friends and for Jungkook.
Realization sunk into him once he discovered where he was and he sat up abruptly, not caring for the protest of his pounding head, feeling the sensitive skin of his wrist and the wetness of his clothes.
Because he was back on the beach.
"I-I'm here? A-and not in the cave?", Taehyung mumbled to himself, not believing what was happening, was it a dream? Was he really back on the island instead of being locked away in the underwater cave? Was this a dream he was going to wake up from, did Jungkook entirely mess with his head now? Or was it just a trick from the island to make him believe he was in safety and received another chance when he wasn't?

Taehyung couldn't grasp what brought him here but he saw a splash in the water, then another two before the water became silent again, only the crashing sound of the waves hitting the sandy beach filling his ears. "Dolphins", Taehyung whispered, staring at the endless ocean in front of him and a small smile curved his lips upwards.
"Thank you", he whispered gratefully before sitting up, getting onto his knees and pushing himself off the sand, dusting off his clothes and glancing around. The sun was about to go down, golden light engulfing his frame and the warm sunlight felt comfortable on his salt dried skin. He must look like a savage himself now, Taehyung thought to himself before he turned around into the direction of the jungle.
"I have to find Hoseokie and Jinnie", he mumbled to himself, already aiming for the jungle but before he could reach it, now close to the protecting palms offering shadow and coldness from the burning warmth of the sun, there were two figures stumbling out of the depths of the jungle.
The two shadows were tall and Taehyung's breath hitched when their heads turned. Their eyes met, realization sunk into the three of them and Taehyung screamed from happiness.
"HYUNGS!"
It just took one word for the other two to unfreeze, seeing the figure running towards them. It was Taehyung, none other than their beloved little TaeTae. Hoseok and Jin screamed from relief before running towards Taehyung, meeting him halfway when he jumped onto them.
"TAETAE!", Hoseok yelled absolutely relieved and buried his head into the crook of Taehyung's neck while they hugged, Jin already crying loudly while holding their said to be dead friend in his arms. "W-we thought y-you were dead, drowned in the ocean! But y-you here, you're alive!", Seokjin cried out while Taehyung hiccuped loudly, clutching onto his friends he has missed so badly.
"I'm here, I'm real and I'm so happy that you found me!", Taehyung whispered, laughter filling his ears, the only sounds he has yearned for to listen to again and he felt happy for the first time since a year. "Oh Tae", Hoseok cried out, tightening his grip around the petit raven.

"Hoseokie, Jinnie, I love you so much. But I have things to tell you and I'm scared we don't have that much time. So please listen to me before Jungkook shows up again", Taehyung said, looking over their shoulders back into the jungle while the two looked very confused at him. "Tae, what do you mean? And how are you alive? Everyone thinks you're dead! Your parents are absolutely devastated and we were too!", Hoseok protested, demanding answers from the terrified looking boy.
Taehyung has changed. He wasn't the bubbly, energetic man anymore who wanted to see the world and study new cultures, who was never shutting up and always wore his heart on his sleeve. This Taehyung was anxious, trembling and always looking around rushed.
He was on the edge all the time, nerves prickling and he always feared for his life as Jungkook was in control the entire time. Taehyung has believed he could outsmart the blond but has always been wrong, all the time. There was no way Jungkook couldn't know about his escape now, he for sure would, maybe this was just part of the plan to mess with him again.
Make Taehyung believe he was safe when the next catastrophe was just on its way. Maybe this was all part of a trick, to mock Taehyung, give him the tiny reveal of freedom and hope before it was destroyed again, crashed like a mirror to reveal the brutal reality behind. To reveal the truth Taehyung was actually aware off but was just pushing away to not go insane.
And that was that there was no real escape from Jungkook.
"I-I survived this horrible crash. There w-was a storm and we landed here but it's not how you think it is. Please tell me you believe me, please listen to me", Taehyung begged them, puppy eyes wide and so desperate that it shocked his friends to the core. Hoseok hurried to calm his best friend down.
"Of course we're going to listen to you, Tae. You're our best friend after all. And we noticed something strange about that man Jungkook as well. You would never lie to us but we don't know him. And if you say we should be afraid of him, because he wants to kill us we will. But please explain everything to us."
Taehyung nodded, a hopeful little smile on his face. Even if this was a trap or moreover a test, he wanted this hope so bad. He wanted his friends to believe him, being finally able to talk to them alone and show them the brutality of Jungkook, the murderer, not Jungkook the innocent island boy. Because this was just an illusion and Taehyung was going to show them.
Even when the chances were thin and even if Jungkook would find out, Taehyung had to try. It were the lives of his dearest friends they were talking about and he wasn't willing to give them up. Maybe he could help them to stay alive and return to the group, convince them from Jungkook's wrong doings.
Taehyung has decided it was time to end the circle. And ending the circle meant ending Jungkook's life. No matter how familiar he has gotten with the blond, if there was a chance for him to leave, he would take it. He owed it to everyone who die through Jungkook's doings.
He owed it to his friends and he most importantly owed it to himself.
~
Is this just a trick? Or does Tae really have a chance? Oh what will happen

Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends
A ragtag assemblage of adventurers, scraped together by seeming circumstance, investigate the theft of an ecologically essential artifact. In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness. Blame any lead character weirdnesses on my players, whom I love. Blame everything else on me. Oh, and yes, this should also be tagged "Unreliable Narrator."
