The emotions I was going through
Even I didn't understand
The anger; the sadness
I thought I was going mad
I don't even know
Why I don't trust myself anymore
Maybe the reason was
That I had just lost my core
All I knew was not enough
All I did was not enough
Considering what I thought I had
Made it even more tough
The fact that I gave a chance
To everyone except myself
Just shows me my state
And tells me to love myself

Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did.
