Back to billie's pov

Stokeley is coming over later and suprisingly throughout these past months we've become bestfriends.

My mom keeps saying he likes me but I don't wanna deal with that. It could ruin everything.

I'm not saying I wouldn't date him. He's cute, funny, sweet..Billie . you cannot start liking your bestfriend.

I still have my guard up and he seems like he is trying to break it down piece by piece. I have never had anyone do that before.

One hour later

I hear a knock at the door and I automatically know it's Stokeley. I get the door and give him a hug.

He hugs back and then we walk inside. "My mom said she would be back later." I say.

I also realized that I trust him alot more than I would've with any other guy. my mom thinks it's because I like him.

It feels weird to even think about liking someone. I don't know what I should do.

"Oh alright, wanna watch poltergeist or something?" he suggests.

"Yeah, and if I get scared?" I laugh.

He looks at me, "Come on Bil, you don't get scared and if you do, I’m right here." he laughs.

I roll my eyes, "Fineee."

He gets up and puts the dvd in and sits back down on the couch and the movie starts.

A jump scare pops up and I hold onto Stokeley. He flinches really fast when I touch him, causing me to pause the movie. "What was that? Is everything okay?" I say worried.

"Yeah.. yeah I just.. just play the movie." he says but I knew he was lying.

I look at him and sit crossing my legs on the couch. "No seriously, I am not about to play the movie until I really know what's going on."

"Bil, I don't wanna talk about my past okay?" he sort of snaps but isn't in yelling range.

"Fine." I give up and play the movie.

I sit holding a pillow afraid. I scared Stokeley on accident. What if I did something wrong or he didn't want me touching him.

"Bil, come here. I'm sorry." he says calling me over to his arms.
