I quickly dried my soaking wet hair while attempting to put mascara on my lashes. Today is the day. The day where students find out if they are going to college or not. The day where colleges give out college offers. They weren't going to be out till 12:30. The girls and I decided to meet up with the boys for brunch at a local cafe at 12. Of course I woke up late so I only has twenty minutes to get ready. To say I was scared shitless was an understatement. This could go two ways: I get in or I don't. I had no idea what I would do if I didn't get in. The thought made me loose concentration of what I was doing and I accidentally poked my left eye with the mascara wand.

"Ah God" I hissed. I dropped the mascara and blow dryer on the ground. Thankfully I was standing on a fluffy rug so nothing too damaging happened. I blinked a few times so the tears that were already forming in my eyes would go away. I looked at my hair and noticed it was still wet. "Screw this" I muttered and threw my hair into a top knot on the top of my head.

For my outfit I went with a white cropped tank and a pair of ripped, blue denim straight leg jeans. I felt a little cold so I threw on one of Aaron's flannels which was a little oversized looking but it did the job.

I heard a honk outside and knew Veronica was waiting for me. I grabbed my bag and slipped my laptop, phone and money into it. I raced down the stairs and made a quick stop in my kitchen where my mom was sipping coffee. " I'm leaving now"

"Ok before you go" she said and stood up, making her way over to me. She pulled me into a hug.

"Mom I really have to go" I cringed and tried to pull away from her but my attempts were useless.

"Alright but remember college doesn't define you" she advised and kissed my cheek. I gave her a smile smile and quickly said bye before walking out the door. I sat in the back with Steph while Mia was sitting in the front.

"Your mom?" They asked simultaneously

"Yes and no" I laughed. "I woke up late"

"Of course you did" Steph laughed "I'm so nervous"

"Ughhh don't even talk about it. I feel sick and haven't even eaten anything" Mia said scrunching up her face.

"The boys are already there so we should go" Veronica said. She put the car in drive and sped down the road. Few minutes later we were parked outside a small cafe in town. The sweet aroma of coffee was somewhat calming that I nearly forgot the reason why we here. We made our way over to the boys who were already snacking on cookies. The minute they noticed us they hid the cookies behind their backs

"Hey guys" Josh started. We all exchanged our hellos before sitting down.

"Oh by the way you all have crumbs around your mouths" I smirked, crossing my arms.

"I swear we were going to wait for you all but we are growing boys. We need to be eating as much as we can" Aaron said and puffed out his chest. I rolled my eyes at him. The waiter finally came over to take our orders and by the time we had finished eating there was two minutes before college application offers were out.

"Oh God this is really happening" my voice was so shaky. I barely recognised it. We all had our laptops on our laps but leaning over our seats in anticipation.

"THEY ARE OUT" Veronica yelled resulting in multiple people giving us glares.

Already? There's still at least thirty seconds left.

"Ok on the count of three" Justin said. "One...two....three!"

Our eye fell down to our screens. At first nobody said anything. Steph was the first to break the silence. "I GOT IN"

"ME TOO" Veronica yelled back. They then both looked back at me. I was trying my hardest to look like I didn't get accepted but my huge smile gave it away.

"WE ARE GOING TO COLLEGE TOGETHER!" I squealed. I jumped out of my seat and did a little happy dance before hugging them. The boys also got in too and Mia was lucky to get into her dream college too.

"What about you babe?"

I said sitting down beside him and tried to look into laptop but he slammed it close before I could get a glance. My smile immediately faltered.

"I got wait-listed" he said. His eyes were everywhere but me. I swallowed. I was about to say something when he stopped me. "Don't say anything. It doesn't matter. I'm going to get another coffee" he said and stood up, walking off towards the till.

"It's not fair he deserves to go to college" I sighed. Mia placed her hand on my shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"Everything will work out" she said

Aarons POV

I placed my keys on the counter and grabbed myself a glass of water.

"Aaron? Is that you?" I heard my mom call from upstairs. I then heard the soft padding of her feet as she threaded down the stairs.

"Mom I'm the only other person who lives here with you. Of course it's me" I laughed rolling my eyes.

"So? Did you...? You know? Get in?" She apprehensively asked.

"Yeah I got accepted to both colleges" I said referring to NYU and the university of Toronto and and sat down by the island.

"Oh honey that's great. I'm so proud of you" she smiled and kissed my temple but her smile disappeared when she saw I wasn't smiling. "What's wrong?" She asked and took a seat beside me.

I sighed and propped my elbows on the table and then ran my hands through my hair.

"I didn't tell Sierra" I admitted.

She frowned. "But You were with her all afternoon"

"I know but she was so excited when she got accepted to NYU. If I told her I got accepted too but I'm not going because I'm going to Canada she would have been upset" I explained.

My mom gave me a small smile and stood up. "It's nice that you are considering her happiness but trust me, the longer you go with not telling her, the more mad she will be" and with that she walked out

A week and a half later

Sierras POV

I was laying on my bed watching another season of Dynasty. Except I wasn't paying attention. Aaron had been avoiding me for nearly week and cancelling plans. At least he was still texting me. I had to take into consideration that this isn't an easy time for him. I immediately got an idea. I grabbed my phone and called Veronica.

"Sierra?"

"Duh and do you think you can get here in like twenty minutes?" I asked

"Well I'm with josh so I don't think-" she started

"Great see you in twenty" I cheered and hung up. I got up and got ready. I through on an oversized hoodie with black leggings.

Fifteen minutes later I was in the back of Veronicas car with josh riding shotgun. "Oh josh you're here. I hope I didn't interrupt anything" I said.

Veronica turned around to me and rolled her eyes. "Ok..." I mumbled to myself. "I need you to drop me off at Walmart. I want to get Aaron his favourite snacks and surprise him. Hopefully he will cheer up a little"

"That's so sweet of you" Veronica smiled

A few minutes later I found myself in the candy aisle in Walmart. After grabbing all his favourite snacks I felt extra generous. I saw the new game of fifa randomly on a shelf and decided to buy it for him. After paying I made my way back to the car. I was a few feet away when I noticed Veronica and josh were making out. I rolled my eyes and opened the car door. I got in expecting them to pull away from each other but it seemed they were in their own little world of pure ecstasy. I looked at them with widened eyes. Unbelievable.

"Guys!" I yelled.

That got their attention. Veronica was the first to pull away and looked at me. "Oh you're back" she said in between breathes.

"Just drive"

We finally made it to Aaron's house and I quickly gave Veronica and Josh a hug before stepping out of the car. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it.

"Sierra what a pleasant surprise! Come in. How are you?" she invited and pressed me into her embrace

"Hi Mrs Lee, I'm great thank you" I politely replied

"So I've heard that you got accepted to NYU! That's amazing. Congratulations" she congratulated

"Thanks, I see Aaron filled you in. Speaking of Aaron, is he home?" I asked

"Sure is. He's upstairs" she answered

I gave her a small smile and made my way upstairs. I opened his room door and there standing before me was Aaron. Butt naked
