The following week my mom made me stay home from school. She said I needed rest. By Friday I convinced my mom to let me go to regardless which was very unusual seeing as I would do anything to stay away from that hellhole. I couldn't afford to miss anymore days as I was in my senior year.

I was standing by my locker and quickly switched out my books. For the most part the halls were quite empty. My decision to come to school this morning was very last minute and I didn't have enough time to call Veronica to come pick me up so I had to leg it. I sighed and slammed my locker shut. I made my way to first period which fortunately was maths. I was extremely excited because I didn't tell Aaron I was coming so me being here today will be a major surprise for him. I only had five minutes until class started so I quickly made my way to class.

I walked in and saw Him at the back of the class where our seats were and some of his friends were surrounding him. Once he saw me his eyes widened. I smiled and walked over to him. He just starred dumbfounded at me in his seat. His friends noticed because they turned around and looked at me. I walked behind him and wrapped him arms his neck and bent down to plant a kiss on his cheek.

"Hey babe" I said and sat down on my seat. Once I walked over his friends walked away giving us privacy.

"What?...You're meant to be at home, in bed. Not a school" he said

"Yeah but I wanted to come in. School is actually kind of fun" I laughed

"Said no one ever but you. You're such a nerd" he smiled shaking his head. "But you're my nerd" and then gently kissed me.

"Did you take your meds today?" He asked looking me straight in the eye

Shit.

Aaron has been on my ass all week reminding me to take my medicine but yesterday I told him to stop because I was capable of remembering. Now I know why he was so persistent on reminding me.

"Yeah obviously" I scoffed. I turned my back to him and rummaged through my bag for my materials for class. I was abruptly grabbed my wrist and pulled up so my face was inches from his.

"You know better than to lie to me" he said lowly. I don't know why but his roughness oddly turned me on. I gulped. "Don't make me ask you again"

I sighed. "Ok fine I forgot" I admitted.

"Seriously babe?" He asked dropping his hold on my wrist. "I thought you said you were 'capable of remembering'" he said using his fingers to quote me.

"Hey! I am capable" I defended

"You clearly aren't" he muttered

"I mean I am feeling better. Do I really need them?"

"Yes the doctor said you need to be taking them everyday for the next two weeks and it hasn't even been a week yet" he pointed out

"Oh yeah I forgot she said that" recalling those exact words

"I'm taking you home after school to take them Because if I leave you to it you will just forget"

He did have a point. "Fine"

We talked for a little longer and he caught me up on what I had missed. Apparently Steph had brought back some presents from Ireland. I was so excited to see her as I haven't seen her since spring break. Finally the teacher walked in and class started

After school

I was currently at my locker with Steph, Veronica and Mia. Steph was filling me in on her trip to Ireland and it soon made me realise how much I would love to visit there. Aaron made me wait here because he had to talk to one of his teachers.

"So how are you feeling now" Mia asked

"I feel alright" I shrugged. "but Aaron is taking me home because I forgot to take me meds today"

"Damn right I am" I heard voice say from behind me. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and looked down at me. "Ready?"

"Yeah, I'll see you guys later"

We made our way to his car and drove back to my house. I noticed he was going a different way. "You do realise you're driving the wrong way" I said looking back at the turn we just missed to my house

He smiled but didn't say anything. I gave him a weird look. "Ok then..." I mumbled. We continued driving and that's when I noticed that we pulled up at McDonald's.

"Oh My God you're getting me McDonald's??!!!" I squealed.

"Yes but only if you promise to take your meds every morning from now on" he said. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help it and smiled.

"So you're bribing me with food?" I smirked.

"I can easily turn around and we can go back to your house" he smirked

"No! I promise to take my meds but please get me food" I pouted picking out my lower lip. He laughed and pecked my lips. We pulled up in the drive thru.

"Hi can I get a cheese burger with fries and a large coke please" Aaron said

"No problem, anything else?" The lady asked. Aaron leaned back in his seat so I could lean over and say what I wanted

"Can I please get cheese burger, fries and nuggets"

"Of course! How many pieces?"

"Twenty pieces please and a large Fanta with that too please" I said

"Alright no problem that will be $17.96" the lady said. Aaron thanked her and we drove up to the window to get our order. As we waited Aaron stared at me.

"What?" I questioned

"I knew you could eat but damn that's a lot" he said in an amused expression. I suddenly felt self conscious. Did I really order a lot? He immediately noticed my distress. "It's not a bad thing" he quickly said. "I like a girl who eats like there's no tomorrow but I'm getting some of those nuggets too"

He took the bag from the workers hands and paid him before driving off. I opened the bag and began eating because I was hungry. He then removed his right hand from the steering wheel and replaced it with his left. His hand went into the bag and brought it his burger.

"Babe no, you're not meant to eat and drive" I said and snatched the burger away from him. Instead I held it up to his lips. He gave me a look but took a bite regardless. Within five minutes we were back at my house. We decided to chill out in my living room instead of my room today. I wanted to watch Endgame so we ended up cuddling on my couch.

"Go get your meds before the movie starts" he reminded me. I quickly jumped up and ran up the stairs to my room. I found the bottle of pills on my dresser. I grabbed them and walked down the stairs. I swallowed them with some water and went back to the couch where Aaron was.

"Did you take them?" He asked.

"Yes now let's watch the movie" I giggled

An hour and half later

I woke up to the sound of a phone ringing. I groaned and peeled my eyes open. Aaron and I were still laying on the couch. He was laying on his back with his right arm hanging off the couch and he was still sleeping. I then heard the tv. I looked up and saw that the final battle was happening. Did we seriously fall asleep? The phone started ringing again. I leaned over Aaron and noticed it was his phone. I picked it up and saw the caller ID was his mom. I started shaking him so he could wake up.

"Aaron, wake up"

He groaned and started stirring. His left hand encircled my waist bringing me back down into his chest.

"No you're mom is calling you" I said holding up the phone in front of his face. He sighed and took the phone out of my hands. While he was talking to his mom I decided to throw our stuff away. I took the McDonald's bag and threw all the wrappers and boxes into it before throwing it into the thrash can. When I came back from the kitchen Aaron was sitting up straight and had his shoes on.

"You're leaving" I frowned

"Yeah my mom wants me back home" he said standing up. I nodded and walked him to the door. "Oh before I forget ask your mom if you can stay over at my house tomorrow"

"As in sleepover?" I asked

"Yeah I have something planned for us to do"

"Ok I'll text you later then, I love you" I said

"I love you" he replied back
