I woke up early the next morning with a few miss calls from Veronica. I quickly called her back and on the second ring she picked up.

"Hey sorry I was sleeping"

"I figured as much. Anyways we are going dress shopping for the dance" she said. That's when I remembered I was grounded and there was no way my mom would let me go out.

"I can't I'm grounded" I groaned

"Shit yeah" she cursed. "Wait what if I talked to your mom. She might listen to me" she suggested.

My mom practically treats both Veronica and Steph like they're her daughters so this could work. "Ok be here in an hour then" and with that I hung up. I got up and immediately made my bed and opened my blinds. I then went to my bathroom and took a shower. My mind couldn't help but drift to what happened on Friday morning, more specifically Aaron kissing me and me kissing him back. In that moment I genuinely felt like we were closer than ever which was a good thing.

I got out of the shower and did my skincare routine and brushed out my hair which had been in a messy bun since yesterday. It was little bit hotter today than usual so I decided to wear a white tank top with denim, blue, ripped jeans and a black belt.

Within that time I had already wasted forty-five minutes getting ready so I waited for Veronica to pull up. I then heard my doorbell ring and ran down the stairs.

"Hey" I smiled and stepped to the side so she could come in. Then I noticed Steph was here which was unexpected as she said she wasn't going. "Steph? What are you doing here?" I laughed giving her a hug.

"Well I thought about what you said and I decided that I'm going to the dance after all"

"That's great" I smiled.

"So..Where's mama bear?" Veronica asked

"Kitchen" I simply answered. She nodded and walked off. Steph and I followed close behind her.

"Good morning Alice" Veronica smiled and placed her bag in the table.

My mom looked up shocked as she didn't expect any of my friends to be here. "Veronica" and then she turned to my and Steph. "Steph. What a pleasant surprise. How are you all?" My mom asked. She settled her coffee down on the coaster which was on the table.

"We are good"

My nodded and then she turned to me and squinted her eyes. "I thought I said you were grounded. That also includes no hanging out with friends outside of school hours"

I was about to respond but Veronica intervened. "That's actually what we are here to talk about Mrs Davis" She said acting all professional and sitting down on the chair opposite to my mom. I rolled my eyes at her crossed my arms. This ought to be good. "It has come to my knowledge that Sierra snuck out of the house and went to see Aaron. Very irresponsible of her right?"

"Agreed" My mom said.

"Veronica" I hissed giving her an expression that said "what do you think you're doing"

She then cleared her throat and turned back to my mom. "Although What She did was wrong, we have a dance next Saturday- the valentines school dance. We had already planned to go shopping for the day for some dresses so do you think you pardon her for the day please" she pleaded.

My mom looked at me and sighed. I immediately gave her the puppy dog eyes and tried to look very upset. After a few minutes of her looking back and forth between the girls and I she finally gave in. "Fine but since you're going out you can run some errands for me"

That was better than nothing. I squealed and jumped into her arms happily. "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you" I smiled kissing her cheek after each one.

"I need you to target and get some tissue paper and eggs" she said. She leaned over the table and grabbed some money out of her purse and handed it to me. "Be home before ten"

I nodded my head and with that we were gone. Steph called shotgun before I could so I was stuck in the back. "Sooo I totally pulled that off didn't I" Veronica smirked.

"Yeah I guess except for the part where you agreed with her that what I did was wrong. She could have been like "yeah what she did was wrong so I won't let her out" and then I would have been stuck at home"

"Ok yeah but the secret is you have to talk professionally and adult like that way they will listen to you more"

"Whatever you say" I shrugged

"Oh my God! Steph this would look amazing on you" I said holding up an emerald green dress in front of her. "You should totally try it on". She agreed and went to try it on. Veronica has already found a dress and was currently changing into it. When Steph came out she looked absolutely stunning. The dress was low cut which exposed her cleavage and it had a slit going up her thigh, showing off her amazing legs.

"I love it" she smiled.

"I think I found my dress too" Veronica said coming out of the changing room. Hers was a long, blue and Flowy dress. The top part of her dress has floral decoration but showed very little cleavage.

"You guys look amazing and Josh is going to die when he sees you in that Veronica"

She blushed and smiled. "Sierra you didn't find anything?"

"I did" and motioned them to follow me towards one of the racks. I pulled out the pale pink dress. It was simple but elegant with off shoulder sleeves.

"Oh hunny no" Veronica said giving the dress a grimace look.

"No?!" I asked turning back to the dress.

"No offence but it's not your colour" Steph said

"Gee thanks" I mumbled. At least they were honest with me. Other people would have just agreed with for the sake of it and to keep me happy. They looked through the rack, examining each dress in the process.

"You need something that will make you pop"Steph says. I decided to just stand back and let them find me something because I had no idea what they were talking about.

Veronica then pulled out a long red dress. It was quite similar to Steph's dress. It had a low cut in the front with a slit up along the leg. "Woah" I breathed.

"You should try it on" Steph said and with that they pushed me into the dressing room. I put it on and walked out. "Oh my God. You look amazing S"

"That's definitely the dress" Veronica smiled

I got changed out of the dress and within ten minutes we were walking out of the store happy. After I quickly made my way to target and got the stuff my mom asked for and before you knew it we were sitting at our usual spot at Starbucks. "So are we all excited for this dance?" Steph asked

"Totally" Veronica said

"So does josh have anything special planned for you" I teased.

"I don't know but I hope he does" she blushed. "Speaking about boys why were you out with Aaron at 3 am?"

"We were just talking" I shrugged. I then realised that I never told them what actually happened between us. "And we sort of kissed"

"You kissed?!"Steph yelled. A bunch of people turned to our table and gave us weird looks.

"Yes now shut up" I groaned.

"Does that mean you're back together?" Veronica asked

"What? No! I don't know. It just happened. I wasn't even expecting it" I sighed

"Did you enjoy it?" Asked Steph

My face immediately broke into a smile when she asked that and my mind went back to that moment. "Yeah until my mom ruined it" I said rolling my eyes. We made a laugh out of it and continued talking until we got up to leave.

As we made our way back to Veronica's car I couldn't help but think maybe I was ready to date Aaron again.

Heyyyy lovelies. I'm sorry I didn't get to upload yesterday. I was busy and had a three page Irish essay to write but it's here now. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
