"I can't believe you're mom actually asked to have dinner. That's hilarious" Steph laughed. I was currently getting ready for dinner tonight. I decided to call Veronica and Steph on FaceTime so I wasn't bored while getting ready.

"More like ridiculous but then again she doesn't know that we aren't together anymore" I sighed. I put down my curling iron that I've been using on my hair for the past half an hour.

"So what are you wearing" Veronica asked. I quickly got up and moved to my bed. I picked up the outfit I was about to put on and held it up in their point of view. I decided on a simple black long sleeve with a white skirt that had a slit along my thigh.

"Girl you're going to look hot in that" Veronica complimented.

"Sierra can you please hurry up and help set the table! They will be here in twenty minutes!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Coming!!" I yelled back. "I have to go I'll see you both tomorrow" I said. We exchanged goodbyes and left the call.

I got dressed and pulled on a pair of flats on my feet. The minute I opened my door I was hit with the sweet aroma of the food my mom was cooking downstairs. "Smells good mom" I smiled.

"Thank you I'm going to quickly change. By the time I get back I want the table set please" she said. She removed her apron and was out of the kitchen. After setting the table they still weren't here so I went upstairs to chill for a bit. After ten minutes I heard the doorbell ring. I sighed and got up from my bed. From my room I could already hear my mom talking to them both. As I made my way down the stairs my breath hitched as I saw Aaron. He was dressed casually. He was wearing a black long sleeve with denim ripped jeans and to top it all off his hair looked like he ran it through several times.

"There she is" my mom smiled. I walked over to them and stood beside Aaron.

"Sorry about that" I apologised.

"Hey beautiful" he said and leaned down to kiss my cheek. His small gesture made me realise how much I missed being in a relationship with him. I flashed him a quick fake smile before turning back to parents. We made our way into the kitchen where the food was placed on the table. Our parents sat next to each other leaving Aaron and I to sit together.

Twenty minutes into dinner we mostly talked about how our week was and what we got up to. I found out that Aaron was at hockey practice yesterday which is why he went shopping with his mom.

"So Aaron what are you planning to study in college?" My mom asked

"Business In NYU hopefully" he said. I turned to him in shock.

"Oh that's great. Sierra is actually hoping to study there too" My mom laughed.

"You are?" He asked turning to me. "I didn't know that"

"Yeah I want to do nursing like my mom. It's been a dream of mine since I was ten" I shrugged poking at my steak. Aaron and I never talked about college before with other so when I found out he wants to go to the the same college as me it was a shocker.

"It's like the universe wants you both to be together" his mom laughed.

"It sure does" he smiles looking at me. He then placed his hand on my thigh. I could feel the warmth of his hand. I honestly wanted nothing more than for him to keep his hand there but after a few seconds he removed it.

After about an hour I was found in the kitchen doing the washing up. I only thought it was fair if I cleaned up since my mom did all the cooking.

"You're a sight for sore eyes"

I whipped around on my toes and saw Aaron leaning against the door that led into the kitchen. His arms were crossed against his chest and he had his famous smirk plastered on his face. "What are you doing?" I asked ignoring his comment even though it made my stomach do a little flip.

"I want to help" was his answer. He pushed off the door and made his way over to me. He started helping me load the dishwasher in silence. When that was done I went into the dining room and began wiping down the table. I felt a warm presence behind me and maybe it was the strong smell of his cologne that gave it away that it was him behind me. I gulped and just kept concentrating on cleaning the table.

"You smell nice" he whispered in my ear. I could smell his aftershave. My breath hitched. I spun around and pushed him back.

"Aaron you can't do that"

"Do what? Compliment you?"

"No..you can't come up close to me like that. We aren't together anymore"

"How long is it going to take for you to forgive me. I know what I did was wrong but I already said I'm sorry"

"Oh I'm sorry it's taking me a week or two for me to forgive my ex boyfriend who made a bet with his best friend to take my virginity..oh and for not telling at all" I gritted out

He was about to answer when his mom called for him. "Aaron we have to go, you have school tomorrow!" She called

I gave him a look before walking out to our parents with him following me.

"Thank you so much for having us Catherine and Sierra. Keep safe" she said. She walked out the door with Aaron following her. We locked eyes for a few seconds before I closed the door.

The following week flew by so quickly it's almost like it didn't even happen. School was more boring than ever. People have slowly stopped slut shaming me but I still sometimes here people calling me names but I choose to ignore it. Veronica and Josh are now dating and I admit I'm happy for both of them. They both seem genuinely happy with each other. Aaron and I have continued to ignore each other. The only times I'm near him is during maths or at lunch and even at that I don't sit close to him.

It was currently the middle of lunch and we only had about ten minutes left.

"So" Veronica clapped getting each of our undivided attention. "My parents are not going to be home tomorrow so we can all hang out at my house"

I opened my mouth to object but it's like she already knew I was going to do that because she pressed her index finger against my lips. "And I'm not taking no for an answer"

"Vee I'm busy"

"What on earth could you be busy with on a Friday night?" She asked

"I have an English paper" I shrugged taking a sip of my water

"Yeah thats due on Wednesday" she laughed

Shit I forgot she's in my class

"You're coming either you like it or not" she ordered.

"Fine" I mumbled.
