“FOOD’S READY!” Noah screams right in my ear..

“Hey!” I shout spinning around to glare at him but he raises an eyebrow smirking and I quickly drop the glare remembering I can’t do that...

Plastering on a fake smile I step towards him “THANKS!” I shout back into his flashing him a sickly sweet, sarcastic smile, inside I’m glaring at him, but I don’t let that show....as I turn away and head towards the kitchen, the smell of food making my stomach rumble...

I can keep my side of this bet....easy. Even with Noah deliberately trying to push my buttons.....he’s the one who’s going to be kicking himself later one when he’s beaten by a girl, and plus...I have a few things up my sleeve for him....

Oh...we’ve, well I kinda added something into the bet, because I realised that I would be the only one actually doing anything, I got Noah back at his own bet, betting him the same thing in a way, which is he has to stay happy and not suddenly turn snappy or anything for the rest of the night? Easy? Well yes for him it properly is because he always seems to be laughing....but I have a few things for him that will sure pull at his buttons...

Smirking inwardly I walk into the kitchen, seeing all the food being set out and everyone taking their seats.....I slid into the seat beside Seth, luckily April’s not sat there.

As everyone gets there places, Evan is the other side of Seth and I smirk to myself thinking ‘yes! April has to sit somewhere else now’.

And as it turns, April sits on the opposite side from Seth, you can see the annoyance in her eyes but she quickly covers it up smiling across to Seth, nearly making me choke on my own saliva....

But that smug feeling soon goes as who sits opposites me is just fantastic...

Of course it has to be Noah, who else?

He smirks across to me, properly knowing what I’m thinking and I give him another fake smile, I’m going to win this, I think to myself

I feel my stomach rumble as I look towards all the food, Ruby placing a steaming bowl of hot boiling roast potatoes in the middle of the table, other’s surrounding it filled with all sorts of veg and practically every kind of food you could think of that you would have with a roast meal, because yes that’s what we’re having.

Once everyone’s seated, we’re allowed to dig in and so the boys hungrily load their plates with as much as they can, then cover it in gravy.

I smirk to myself, thinking I’m no better and once with a plate filled with delicious steaming food...I dig in not being able to hold back my hunger any more.

There’s chatter amongst the others as we eat, others as in everyone one further up the table, mostly the adults, as I guess us kids are too busy stuffing out faces to talk..

Smirking to myself again I eat a forkful of vegetables looking up and seeing a pair brown eyes looking at me, and not the pair it usually is....

A small frown comes to my face as I share glances with April, who’s watching me eat while aimlessly pushing her food around on her plate....

Well what the hell is she looking at?!

Sneaking a look to side I see Seth, well and actually hear him too having some kind of conversation with one of our brothers....Evan.

And it seems to be a funny one, because they keep cracking up into quiet laughter.....hmm...some inside joke I bet.

“So Lexi?” my eyes snap back to her as she speaks up clearing her throat and sitting up more in her chair giving me one of those fake smiles “I was wondering....that – if you want, would you maybe want to come with me and friend shopping or something like that with us sometime? Like next week?” I swear I nearly choke on my mouthful of potato as I swallow it, staring wide eyed at this girl

Did she seriously just ask me that?

I hear Seth and Evan who are nearby fall silent, Seth’s eyes on me curiously and I hear someone, I think Noah snort a laugh before quickly covering it up...

I blink at this girl wh-what the?!

“Only if you want to that is!” April quickly adds “I mean...I just thought it would be nice ya know?...we could go get coffee or something? I’m not sure what you like...but yea! I can find out” a grins starts to slowly appear on her face and I have to suppress a shudder of doing thing like that with her.

“Urm....um...” I mumble over my words not knowing what to say and my eyes dart towards Seth who has his eyebrow raised, but a gently smile crosses his lips as he looks over to his girl- not I can’t bring myself to say that, as he looks over to April and subtly nudges me under the table....

My eyes then quickly look to another pair of brown eyes, who has a mocking, smirking look on his face, obviously knowing..that this is so not my thing, but I can’t let him win.

So I sit up and clear my throat...looking over to a hopeful looking April, who I have a feeling is only doing this because of Seth....and I speak these words that I regret as soon as I do.

“Urm...y-yeah, yeah! Sure! Why not?!” I say and can’t help as it comes out in fake enthusiasm and almost mockingly, with that fake smile on my face...

Her eyes light up and she grins clapping her hands in excitement, which reminds me of something Tom would do, “Great!” She cheers grinning with a sparkle in her eyes as they dart briefly over towards my twin “I’ll text you later with the deats! Oooh...I can’t wait!”

I almost choke again as I stare at her, text?!.....since when did she have my number?!

Hearing the sound of someone coughing, obviously trying to cover up a laugh, I turn my head to the person sat directly opposite me, taking a sip out of his glass of water, with that smug smirk plastered on his face....

“You....”I growl very quietly, no one hearing as they’ve all burst out into a new conversation, everyone except Noah himself, he hears as he looks up to me placing his glass back down....

“me?” he asks innocently and I feel my eyes narrowing into a glare “Ah, ah, ah!” Noah shakes his head smirking and tilts his head at me “No frowny faces at me tonight chipmunk..” He whispers across to me so no one hears and with that evil little smirk on his face, I’m really tempted to just raise my foot and kick him where the sun don’t shine...

Biting the inside of my cheek, to stop myself from saying something that I know will quite possible cause me to loos....I straighten my face out from the frown and into a blank expression before turning into that fake, sarcastic smile.

“Oh I was frowning? I’m ever so sorry!” I gaps out in fake horror shaking my head to myself smirking before eating another part of my meal...

Noah’s lips tug up into his usual smirk and I hear him chuckle silently to himself, the others around us seeming too involved into their own conversations to pay attention to us, which is good.

Chewing my food, I look across to Noah who’s just stuffed a slice of some kind of meat that his mom has laid out into his mouth and he quirks an eyebrow at me....

I won’t let him he, that can’t happen.....I won’t let it happen...

Smirking slyly I see Noah frown slightly as to why I am...but I just smirk to myself eating some more delicious food......Oh Noah, you’re gunna wish you never started this.

“Who’s up for pudding?” Ruby asks with a big smile as she stands up starting to clear away every plates, in which my mom gets up to, insisting to help too.

A chorus of ‘yeah’s’’ fill the room after compliments on the meal...and I see my shooting me a quick look, causing me to inwardly sigh knowing that look..but I put on a smile before standing up too, starting to pick up mine and the people around me plates....

“Oh Lexi! Hun! You don’t have to do that!” Ruby reassures me...but I just smile, knowing it’s good manners and also that mom might have a go at me when we get home if I don’t

“No, no...it’s fine, I want to” I smile at her collecting to cutlery onto one plate and then piling the plates together and I see the smirk on Noah’s face as I take his, which I just ignore rolling my eyes in my head.

Bringing the china plates, careful not to drop them towards the counter to be washed up, Ruby tells everyone that we’ll be eating outside for desert, which surprises me as I thought it was kinda chilly out...but shrug it off as I place the plates down, hearing chairs scrapping back on the floor as everyone gets to their feet...

“Lexi love? Wanna help with the pudding?” Ruby asks me as she opens the door of the huge fridge, and being intrigued as to what it is I nod and smile, the kitchen now quiet as everyone’s now filled out outside, hearing the distance voices of them through the window...

Pulling out a tray carefully from the fridge, I see it holds fancy looking glass bowls with a stand with something good looking inside...

“It’s my own recipe...” Ruby tells me and my mom “my own version of cheesecake..” She smiles settling it down on the counter....

I move closer to see it, mm that does look good. A biscuit layer on the bottom with then that cheesy, jelly, vanilla looking stuff you have on top of cheesecake...all in a small ish, circular dish....I can’t wait to eat that.

“Now there’s some fruit to go on top, Lexi could you please sprinkle some of these onto them all and I’ll just nip out and ask everyone what they would like on top” Ruby smiles taking a bowl of fruit out disappearing out of the kitchen to the garden....

“Lex....I’ll be right back, I just need to nip to the loo quickly..” mom tells me edging towards the door “Ruby said to find some whipped cream to squirt on top okay?...so can you do that too?” and then she hurries out the door....

I turn back to look at the lined up bowls on the tray....Hmmm...whipped cream you say...

Suddenly as if a light bulb goes off in my head, an idea springs to my mind. A very childish, but very funny idea comes to my evil mind and a smirk takes over my face.

Oohh...this is gunna be good.

I had to move fast with this, really fast as my mom was only in the loo and Mrs Dean was just outside, be back any second...

And thankfully I managed to do it, with a nearby bathroom down stairs, yes they have two loo’s downstairs it’s pretty big downstairs, I managed to get my hands on a bottle of shaving foam.

Hiding it under my shirt I darted back to the kitchen and started sprinkling the small berries that Ruby gave me in the bowl into each small bowl over the creamy part of the cheesecake and by the time Mrs Dean comes back in, I’ve started to squirt a big swirl of whipped cream onto the first two.

“Thank you deer” She smiles at me placing two cherries onto the cream I just whipped and picking those two bowls up “Everyone would like a cherry on top, except for two, your brother Lee...and Noah” She tells me “So leave to plain and bring those two out once your done love, I’ll come back for the others..” She smile once more before taking the two I’ve down out into the garden, my mom following too.

A smirk comes to my face and I quickly squirt the same amount, a big swirl covering the top of the cheesecake on each one, adding a cherry on top like I was told, and Ruby comes in and out taking two or four at a time...until finally there’s only two left.

I smirk to myself, and with the whipped cream, I squirt one.... my brother’s one. And with glancing around once to make sure no one’s lurking around, I quickly pull out the can from under my shirt and open the can, quickly squirting it onto the last one, the same amount covering the top.

Holding back giggles, I close the lid, and hid it in a cupboard quickly before standing up, acting causal and picking up the two bowls....taking them outside, this shall be good.

Stepping outside, I feel a bit of a nippy wind, but it’s soon gone and a awed smile comes to my face as I take in what’s out here.

The concrete patio is lite up by a few candles around the edge and on the rectangular garden table that’s out here to the side, where the adults have sat themselves around.

I feel heat on my skin, instantly coming from the small, but big enough little bonfire thing that’s blazing away in the middle of the rest of the patio, where everyone else is sat around on big beanbags or some low garden chairs, or just simply the floor with cushions.

You cannot help but smile if you saw this, it looks so cosy, so cute.....it really does.

I spot Lee and hand him his bowl, everyone else already have there’s...and then I spot Noah, and I hold back a sly smirk...

“here you go!” I say cheerily with a grin handing him his, he takes it almost hesitantly raising an eyebrow at me and I just grin innocently before turning away....

I get handed my own bowl from Ruby who thanks me for helping her, and I smile...before finding a place to sit. I grin at Blake and make my way over, he smiles shuffling slightly over on the beanbag he’s on making room for me and I smile, happily taking a seat next to him, sinking down into the softness of the seat...before taking my first bite out of this delicious looking desert.

Mmm...it’s amazing! Everyone seems to think so too. The creaminess mixed with the sweetness of the fruit...is just delicious! Making my taste buds go wild....

I sneak a peak over to the far side, ignoring the fact that my twin and April are sat together on a beanbag, I’ll deal with that later....and my eyes land on Noah sat at the end who’s about to eat a spoonful of that ‘whipped cream’.

Feeling the smirking rising to my face I already, I eagerly watch him as he raises the spoon...and slides it into his mouth, his expression normal to start with as his eyes gaze to the fire in the middle....

But that expression soon changes....and a giggle rises in my throat as his face changes, scrunching up in disgust as he slowly takes in the flavour of what he thought was whipped cream.

Dropping the spoon back in the bowl, he turns his nose up, before turning around and spits out all the cream into the plant pot that’s behind him....

I can’t take it anymore, I crack up laughing, muffling my laughs with Blake’s arm which I’m leaning on, but still eyes on Noah....Oh I wish I had a camera! His face was priceless!

Blake looks down at me confused as I giggle away, not many people have noticed Noah’s little discomfort, but I sure have! And it’s hilarious!

Raising his head, Noah’s eyes lock with mine, where I send him a cheeky, innocent grin and wave before taking a spoon of my own real whipped cream before entering it into my mouth with a satisfied look I smile innocently and making noises as I enjoy the creamy goodness..... mocking Noah and seeing him from the corner of my eye giving me a glare.

I raise an eyebrow at him, amusement clear in my eyes and with that look, he quickly shakes his head, as he too has to stay happy and upbeat, no matter what happens..

He coughs shaking his head again and I can see his lips curve up into a smile, whether it’s an amused one or not I’m not sure...and her turns his body again before discreetly scrapping off the shaving foam that I oh so kindly squirted onto his desert....Oh haven’t you just gotta love childish pranks! Honestly I think they are the best kind....

Looking back up to me, the blaze from the fire in-between us, lights up his face from the dark, and I can see the reflection of the fire in his brown eyes, which is kinda spooky...but then again not.

He locks gazes with me, staring me down with an blank expression, before that evil little creepy smirk creeps up onto is face, turning devilish and the fire blaring in front of us helps with that effect....and I see him mouth something over towards me...

‘Bring it on Walker’

This causes an equally devilish and evil smirk to creep up onto my lips and a chuckle stuck down in my chest as I let my eyes cast over with mischief as I keep the locked gaze with him....

Bring it on indeed Noah....I think to myself.
