"Geez...they've done it well." I gaped looking at his closet organised perfectly with my clothes on one side and his on the other.

"Indeed." I heard his voice behind me.

"What now?" I asked, literally not knowing anything.

"What now?" The dumbo repeated making me narrow my eyes. "Oh...I mean I'll go shower. You can go after me."

"I'm not taking a shower."

"What?"

"I said I'll not shower. Do you have a hearing disability or something?"

"No, what I mean is...how can you not shower?"

"Like this?" I waved my hands around my body, shrugging.

"God, you're annoying."

"Says who?"I quipped back, ready to bicker.

"Look, I don't have the time to fight now of all times. Weren't you tired a minute ago?"

"I am!"

"I'll just go then."

Picking out a t-shirt and boxers, he left without a word. Why do I care if he left without a word? I should be happy instead. Yes, I'm happy. But, I still can't ignore the fact that I do enjoy bickering with the guy. Maybe that's because it has become a habit, or maybe because it's the only time we talk. Whatever the reason might be, I love to bicker with him.

Tired of the heavy Ballgown Wedding dress, I hastily zipped it down and hung it back in it's package. I'd forgotten to bring anything to wear at night. So, I informed Mom to arrange it for me. I just hope it's something...wearable.

Opening the wardrobe, I found a collection of silk nightgowns in various colours. I've never worn any of these in my entire life. As I picked between them, I noticed that all of them were...lacy and short. Woah! They were all Victoria Secret's.

I know what you did there Mom.

Well, I obviously did not have any option. So, I chose for a V-Neck Coral Nightgown with Spaghetti Straps. It does show my cleavage more than it should, but I'll have to wear it someday anyways, so why not now?

Fortunately, my hair had been left open for the day. So, I just had to remove a pin or two and brush them up. After one last glance in the mirror, I left the closet.

Just as I walked out of the closet, Felix too left the bathroom looking...distracting.

Just as I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Evelyn walk out of the closet looking...distracting.

"Oh, hey." We muttered in union.

"You changed."

Oh, what a spontaneous question, isn't it Felix?

"Duh..." She rolled her eyes and walked closer to me. I felt my heart doing those age old flips over again and I tried to control my breath. "Move aside, will you?"

"Why?"

"Because I need to go to the Kingdom of Asgard through your bathroom door." Her humour amuses me so much.

"Yeah whatever." I muttered underneath my breath. "You weren't interested in bathing a minute ago?" Will my mouth just shut itself?

"You want me to sleep with my makeup on and wake up in the morning with racoon eyes? Also...brushing?!"

"Look who's hygienic enough." I could not stop myself from quipping back.

"Just move." She tried to shove me as if that would help.

"Do you think that you'll be able to move me with a shove?"

"Oh...yes."

"Try, then."

I stood with my arms crossed while she tried not once, twice but five times to move me with all her strength. By the time I had expected her to give up and sigh, the least expected of all things happened.

"Fuck Evelyn!" She stood on my toes, just like that. Evelyn, on my toes. Involuntarily, I jumped forward which she took as an opportunity to run into the bathroom.

"Don't underestimate an independant woman." She slammed the door with an evil laugh.

She really is something. Shaking my head, I went to the bed and lied down under the covers before she could come and start ranting. As soon as I closed my eyes, the devil was back from the bathroom, she made a screeching sound looking at me.

"Wh-what?" I sat up on the bed.

"What are you doing?" She stomped her way to me and stood at the edge of the bed. That's when I noticed that she had removed her make-up, making her appear...gorgeous.

"I'm sleeping, I guess." I shrugged.

"On the bed?!"

"Where do you sleep? In the basement?" I knew where this was heading, but I would not compromise.

"You know very well what I'm trying to say, Felix."

She stomped her foot on the bed, hard. I sensed her expressions contort, it must have hurt bad. But she chose not to notice it and instead made up a fierce expression.

"I don't know what you want. Please be clear." I made up an innocent face. Two can play a game.

"Well...I'll be clear then. You should be sleeping on that couch," She pointed at the leather couch on a side of the room. "and I should be sleeping on the bed."

"Why's that so?"

"Erm...beacuse you're the guy here. You need to do the sacrifice."

"And what happened to your theory about independant women?" I bit the inside of my cheek to hide my grin.

"Come on Felix!" She whined and now I couldn't stop the smile from covering my face.

"It's my room, Evelyn. I'll sleep wherever I want. Sleep on that couch or sleep on the bed with me."

"I'd rather sleep on a cactus." Throwing one last annoyed glance at me, she went in the closet and came out with another blanket. "Hand me a pillow!" I threw two pillows at her which landed on her head. Scoffing, she arranged them under her head and tried to make herself comfortable on the couch.

"You still have a choic-"

"Shut up and go to sleep." I would have loved teasing her but I was just as tired by all the activities of the day. So, I decided to turn off the lights and go to sleep.

Even after fifteen minutes, Evelyn was still twisting and turning on the couch. She had probably assumed that I was asleep because she was whispering all variations of curses at me while finding a comfortable position.

"Evelyn?" I decided to break the silence.

"Y-yes?"

"You should come and sleep here...if you want to."

I had expected her to argue or poke fun at me, instead I heard the soft sound of footsteps as she sighed and dipped on the right side of the bed.

My bed will not be vacant anymore.
