❝May you fall in love with someone who never gets tired of saving you from your own chaos.❞
Evelyn
"I do."
"I do."
"You may now kiss the bride."
With a quick peck close to my lips, my dear husband sealed our happily married life together. The crowd erupted in cheers of joy for God-knows-who and I faked a smile. As my eyes caught Owen's, that smile turned into a genuine one.
Yes, my love story starts after my marriage.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Felix grumbled next to me.
Oh, arrogant Mr. Felix Anderson, can't wait for a while to get away from me. Wouldn't I love to push him away as well? Yes, of course he looks more than just handsome in this tuxedo of his, but that doesn't change the fact that he's just an asshole.
My smile widened as Owen rushed to us, looking cute in his tuxedo like a smaller version of Felix, but a thousand times better. He hugged our legs together, making us bump into each other as we held him. I must learn to get used to this now.
"You're married!" He shrieked out loud, making all the family members erupt into laughs. I couldn't help but pick him up in my arms. "I can call you Mommy now, Evelyn."
"Oh, yes...you can call me Mommy."
"Grandma!" He called out for Felix's mother. "She's my Mommy."
"Yes, dear! She's your Mommy." She wiped a few tears using her handkerchief and I tried not to roll my eyes. Will they just stop with all this drama now?
"Daddy! I have a Mommy." He looked back at Felix. I could sense his smile without even looking at his face. That's what Owen does to us.

"Yes Owen, you do."
"And you have a wife!"
Who's teaching him all this? Well, no doubt that's my parents, looking so happy with their grins. I've never seen their faces so radiating before. And my awesome brother is just busy talking on his phone. What a perfect marriage!
"Erm...yes I have a-a wife."
"A perfect family, isn't it?"
Elizabeth-his mother-walked to us with Jimmy-his father. She tilted my head up and kissed my cheek. I tried to smile. I love her, of course I do, but I don't know what is wrong with both our parents and this wedding. They've become so clingy and dramatic-it's becoming a bit tiring now.
"Me?" Owen pouted for a kiss.
"Oh, I'll give you two dear." She kissed his left and right cheek simultaneously, making him grin.
"You look beautiful, Evelyn." Her attention was diverted back at me.
"Thank you, Elizabeth-"
"Hey!" Jimmie cut me off. "You can't call us by our names now, it's Mom and Dad for you."
"Oh, right. Thanks M-Mom."
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it." My parents took no time in completing the circle.
Do I have any other choice?
"Mommy! Daddy! Won't you cut the cake?" Owen yelped.
They're following all the rituals? Why was I not informed?
"Of course they will, Owen." My new Dad spoke.
"Dad, is it really necessary?" Fortunately, Mr. Grumpy husband started whining.
"Would you say no to Owen?"
Right that insant, Owen turned his face towards us, widening his eyes and blinking repeatedly-puppy dog eyes. Oh My God! They've completely bribed him!
"Well...we can never say no to Owen, can we?"

"Well...I can never say no to Owen, can I?" Evelyn raised her arms in acceptance, knowing she wouldn't be allowed to leave his home yet.

"No, you can't." He pouted. "You'll have some cereal with me first."
"Owen, I had some food before coming here."
"Let the girl go, Owen." His grandmother mumbled, yet she left the kitchen.
"You, will eat cereal with me." He crossed his arms in front of his chest and she wondered how when he was stubborn, he was exactly like his grumpy father.
"Why are you still here?"
Speak of the Devil.
She turned around to find him staring at them. Owen too peeked from behind her as he sat on the dining table. She cursed herself for coming here to collect those files. She should have waited for a few hours and met him at his father's office instead.
Why did she even agree to make those designs for their company? Wait-she didn't...it had been her Dad.
"Well?"
"Ask Owen."
"What is it Owen?" His voice turned gentle as he peeked at Owen from behind her shoulder. She quickly turned to her side as she realised she'd been blocking him.
"I want Evelyn to have cereal with me." He mumbled, the stubborn look still covering his face.
"Oh, I'm sure she had breakfast before coming here."
"Yes, she did. But I'll eat with her...or I won't eat."
"Stop being stubborn Owen." Mr. Grumpy Pants' voice turned stern.
"I'm not! Just let her eat with me and then she can go. I just want to eat with her."
"What's the magic word, Owen?!" She heard Elizabeth yell from outside.
"Pretty please..." There came the puppy dog eyes.
Felix sighed next to her. Rubbing his hands together in a quick motion, he turned to her side. He looked at her and nodded his head just the slightest bit. She raised her eyes, feigning innocence, understanding what he meant and yet not understanding it.
"Eat with him." At those words, Owen jumped down from the table and ran to refridgerator, bringing the pack of milk and cereal.
"And, what's the magic word?" She pouted her lips, trying to hide her grin.
"Oh please-"
"I'm sorry, Owen. I'm already pretty late-"
"Pretty please." He muttered under his breath.
"Is that how we say it?"
"Pretty please..." Lord Almighty, he looked at her with the same expression that Owen holds at times. She tried not to develop those stupid feelings, again.
"That's good."
She grinned a wide grin and reached for the pack of cereal, dumping it into the two bowls. Unfortunately, Felix turned to leave them alone. Fortunately, Owen stopped him.
"Daddy! Have some too."
"Erm-no never mind, I've had my breakfast."
"Evelyn has had her breakfast too. But she's still eating. Hey! You both should share."
"No!" They refused in unison.
"Why?"
"Owen, no."
Boom! Puppy dog eyes.
Sighing, Felix walked to a counter and brought a spoon with him. She too settled herself down on the chair opposite where Owen sat on the table in defeat.
That's what Owen does to them.
