《Mr. CEO gets what he wants》Chapter 23

WE REACHED 100K READS!!
AHHHHHHHH!
Okay, so I am kind of overjoyed (by kind of I mean a lot). When I first found out I reached 100K, it was 6:35 am, on a weekday, and I was annoyed by the fact that I had school. But, this literarily made my day.
I am overjoyed that I reached a goal I set ever since the beginning of this book, and my new goal is to reach 500K; which is probably impossible. But since we reached this far I'm sure we can reach even farther, so thank you.
I hope this chapter is eventful enough because something is coming.
---------------------------
Nathan POV
"So anything interesting happening in your life?" My father asks, 5 minutes into the car ride.
"Nothing much, why you asking?"
"Just trying to avoid having an awkward car ride, but my effort is obviously going to waste."
I sigh, keeping my eyes on the road.
"Alright, so who's this John Kadvick guy was having a meeting with?"
My father only chuckles. "Your head is really up your ass half the time. I've been speaking about him coming in for a meeting for months, although, I don't blame you, you have been busy with a bunch of other things.
"Kadvick is one of those businessmen who never give up, he's been calling in for over a year; trying to schedule a meeting. But, every time a better opportunity came up, I turned his offer down, that was until he explained what he had wanted to propose."
"So what was his preposition exactly."
He stays silent for a moment, then speaks up again.
"Thats for another time, but it does revolve around the usual; money going into both our bank accounts."
Just as my father ends the conversation, we arrive at our building.
I ignore the fact he basically just dodged the question, but I'm pretty sure he has his reasons.
My father and I greet the receptionist and make our way towards the elevator.
Within a minute, we are up on our desired level, and as soon and the door open we come face to face to a group of men waiting in the waiting room.
"Mr. Kadvick, great to finally meet you." My father says.
Both men shake hands, and Kadvick replies to him. "Same here, I hope I didn't ruin any upcoming plans for yourself."
Dad only chuckle, which from I can tell is fake, and he's trying to cover up that he really didn't want to give him a shot, but thought why not. "No, and hopefully you don't disappoint. Shall we get to business, gentlemen."
With that, all us men make our way towards the conference room, and I hope everything goes well. Knowing my luck, shit is probably going to go downhill.
Trinity POV
"Trinity you look fine, you've been making sure you look perfect in that mirror every 2 seconds, chill." my sister says, slightly aggravated.
"No one asked for your opinion, so why don't you shut it"

She laughs. "And here I thought all the time you being a bitch was because of the pregnancy hormones, but I guess you can't blame it on them now can you?"
I only ignore her.
If she was in my place she would be twice as annoying as I am right at this moment.
I'm meeting my ex-boyfriends mother for the first time; wow, never thought id say that, and I look like a mess
I look like my mom when grandma says she'd be at our house in 15 minutes.
Trust me that is most certainly not a sight for sore eyes.
I managed to thankfully tame my hair, and lucky enough I was allowed to change into my own clothes.
It's weird not having a huge belly anymore, only excess flop from giving birth almost 12 hours ago.
The only thing that sucks is that my period is like a freaking ocean, never-ending.
Suddenly I hear a screeching cry from my hospital room.
Sadilyn.
Her screech is so high pitched that it's so easy to figure out who is crying.
I move towards her bassinet and carefully pick her up the same way the nurse taught me, placing her on my chest and rock her side to side.
She's so tiny, much tinier that Asher, every time I had to lift her up for a feed I would be worried to hurt her; apparently feeling that is normal.
Sadie slowly calms down, and soon falls asleep.
Suddenly my sister talks, making me jump a little.
"I never thought id see the day my younger sister had her own kids."
I only smiled at her comment.
Sadie still in my arms, I walk around to the other side of the bed to check on Asher. Taking a peek, I see him still fast asleep with his mouth slightly parted.
My smile grows at the sight.
Just as I sit beside Anna and start up a conversation, there is a knock at the door and without a reply, the door is opened.
A woman, around moms age, walks in with a man.
She looks just like Nathan.
She gives me a smile. "Sorry to disturb, but is this Trinity Lancast's room?"
I only nod and give a small smile. "Yes, I'm assuming you both are Nathan's parents."
"Actually I'm his mother , Mandy , Nathan's father and I split up years ago. This is my husband Alexander."
Way to make it awkward, Trinity.
Just as I'm about to get up, Mandy shakes her head. "Oh no dear, please sit down, we will come to you."
I sigh. "Do you mind if I put her down, that way we can have a comfortable conversation. Please, take a seat."
I stand from my place and make my way placing Sadie into her bassinet, giving her a kiss on the cheek and make my way towards Nathan's mother, and Alexander.
I suddenly speak up remembering that Anna was still in the room. "How rude am I, this is my sister Anna Loft."

All 3 greet one another, and after Anna looks at me.
"I need to head out, I need to pick up the kids." She turns back to the guests, giving them a smile. "It was great meeting you two, but duty calls. Bye Trin."
I shoot back a bye, and she leaves.
Mandy begins talking, starting up a light conversation. "So how was the delivery, I hope no complications had occurred."
"Nothing major, had a little tear in the uterus and might have gotten diagnosed with asthma, but overall the delivery was great, only took 5 hours."
She chuckles, "I remember giving birth to both Nathan and Jason. They have a huge 10-year gap, so it felt like having a first child all over again."
"Nathan never mentioned a younger brother."
"Oh, Jason was from my second marriage, which was to Alexander, I'm surprised he hadn't mentioned a thing."
Again watch me turn a completely normal conversation into an awkward one. "Nathan and I aren't as close since we both took different directions in life. I am quite busy with my upcoming wedding and all so we haven't been meeting up every now and then."
Thinking about the wedding made me think about Liam.
I miss him, but he's still a piece of horse shit.
"Do you mind if I took a look at them?" Mandy asks hesitantly.
I shake my head. "Not at all, Sadie is a little fussier than Asher but overall they both have been quiet most of the day.
She quietly makes her ways towards Sadie's bassinet
"Oh my goodness, she is tiny. how big was she when she was first out?"
I chuckle. "She was only 6 pounds, while Asher was a little over 7. I can already see them fighting over everything ."
We all laugh.
It was cool talking to them.
Alexander was quiet throughout most of the conversation, apparently giving us 'mother' talking time.
At least now I can say I'm officially a mother.
Nathan POV
"Alright, so we have a deal then?" Mr. Kadvick sticks his hand out for both dad and me to shake.
As my father is about to shake his hand, I stop him.
"Sorry to cut you two off, but what exactly are we making a deal on. I have no information whats so ever on whatever your business is, and throughout the 2-hour meeting we just had, all I understood were the funds and area management, but not the business. So, unless someone speaks up this deal is most certainly not done."
Everyone is suddenly quiet.
Kadvick turns towards me with a confused look.
He clears his throat looking back to my father. "I was not informed that this wasn't made into a discussion with both you and your son."
My father scoffs, "Well he isn't the boss, I am, it shouldn't be gone through him first before I can make the decision!"
A phone suddenly goes off, making the silence much more awkward.
It turned out to be John's, he excuses himself saying. "My business partner, sorry that he couldn't show up today, he apparently had some family business to take care of, my apologies."
With that, he heads off.
He is acting off, and I'm going to find out the fuck his up to.
I look at my father with an aggravated expression. "Well boss, it's your choice to make now."
I turn around and make my way towards the elevator, of course not forgetting to slam the door behind me.
Just as I'm about the press the elevator button-down, I hear someone talking in a low voice.
A very low voice.
I quietly walk towards the direction of the source, only to come face to face with John Kadvick having a conversation on the phone with someone.
Not weird at all, note to sarcasm.
"No, no, no you do as I say, one mess up and were down the fucking drain. Yes, I almost got the deal done, his retard of a son stopped anything from happening. Why wasn't he with her? You told me that he wouldn't be able to show."
There was a sudden pause, and then he continued his speech.
"Listen, I can't take long, just do as say, Liam."
Liam?
Trinity's Liam?
Nope, she's never going to be his, she is still mine.
Wait, what?
Before Kadvick could catch me I fast walk my way towards the elevator, that ironically enough someone just stepped out off and pressed the button to the basement.
What does Liam have to do with my fathers business?
And why the hell is my father agreeing to all this, he knows Liam is sketchy yet he's still up to do a business deal with him.
I hope whatever I'm thinking isn't right, because of the more Liam's getting involved in suspicious shit, the more I'm believing he was the one who caused Trinity to almost die.
Let's just hope the plan Robert and I came up with works and lures the person in.
And also find out what Liam is up to when he says his out doing 'business'.
----------------------------------------------
**Here's another chapter! I do realize I'm like a month overdue, but I do have good news to make up for that.
IM ON SUMMER VACATION, so I have a whole 3 months to write a bunch.
I can't believe this book will be 1 year old in a few days. AHHHHHHH!
I can still remember myself writing the shitty first chapter on my phone (before it was rewritten), feels like yesterday.
Thank you, though!
Thank you for supporting me through this longs ass journey( Its sounds like I'm ending the book), but it's only getting more interesting now. Expect more action now that I got the story the exact way I want it.
I already plotted out the ending and all, and let's just say I got a long lecture from my best friend because of it.
Anyways, see you in the next one.**
**Sorry of any grammar mistakes.**
