Got this idea while rewatching Hawkeye. I don't know where Kate goes to college so I decided it was in Atlanta and there's no black market or Ronin here just Kate and her people

I had just got back from college and because of a stupid bet I was now forced to this boring party by my mother who wasn't so happy about the destroyed bell tower

I had been attending these kinda parties since I was like 15 and my mother thought I was old enough to take care of myself for a few hours and still here I was 7 years later

I was about to be told to get back to work as people seem to think I was a waiter in my black suit but was pleasantly surprised when the old man didn't mention it. "Your the...the Bishop girl right?" I gave him a small yes and a smile back and then he started talking about stuff but I didn't listen until I had to say hi to a boy who looked to be 7 and a total brat

My ears did catch the word wedding which got me a bit interested and confused. "Who's wedding?" I asked wanting to know what I had to mentally prepare myself for

"Jack and Elenor" The face a was pulling probably told him I didn't know about that. "Ohh. You didn't know. Those sneaky little love birds. You probably want to talk with her so I will leave you alone" I have the man a thankful smile before I walked over to my mom with determination

I stopped in front of her and Jack giving her a serious look. "You ?" I asked making her face fall

"So I guess you have heard" Was all she said

"You didn't feel the need to tell me or anything" I ask back

"I was going to tell you but now you know. And I'm sorry okey. Your caught up in the romance and it's so nice" She said pulling me into a hug

I quickly pull away tho to look at her. "Well since we are sharing things now I guess I can tell you that I'm also . This summer to be exact" And I have never seen my mother that shocked. She then took my arm and dragged me into her office away from the party.

As soon as we made it inside she closed the door and turn to me. "With who. I didn't even know you had a boyfriend"

"First of all how many times do i have to come out. I'm gay. Lesbian. I have a girlfriend. Now fiancé and I was going to tell you in July when I was home but the two weeks I was home I saw you three times. One to run erase for you and two where expensive dinners where we only talked about work and a little bit about Jack" I argued back with anger in my voice

"And last Christmas?"

"It was new then. We had only been together three and a half month. No one knew. No friends and no family" Good sometimes my mother drives my crazy

"And why didn't I get a question if she could have your hand in marriage? Does she have a plan for her future? Is her parents nice?"

"Her parents are lovely and so is her two brothers. I also told her that no matter what you would say I would marry her so she didn't bother because I get to choose over my own life and her future is clear as day. Right at this moment she is taking over after her dad in his law firm. She's CEO of one of the biggest law firms in this damn country"

"So she is older?"

"By one year" I say and sighed. This was not how I wanted this to go

We stay in silence for a few long minutes before mom speaks up again. "Does she treat you nice?"

As small smile creeps onto my lips as I answer. "Yea. She treats me like I'm the only girl in the world" God she's the best thing to ever happen to me

"Where will she be working?"

"I don't know. Right now she's in Atlanta where she was been working during her years in school and will be working until I graduate. Then I don't know. But she can practically choose any big city in this country"

"That's good. Now let's go back to the party we can talk more about it later" We start to walk out the room when see speaks. "So where is the ring or did you not get one" This makes me shake my head. "There is a ring. A very beautiful ring but I didn't plan on telling you tonight so I didn't wear it. I will wear it tomorrow for dinner and she will come to. So be nice"

"Only if you start being a little nicer to Jack" She smiles at me making me chuckle.

"I can try"

When I land I New York a quickly make my way through the airport and out on the other side. I jump in a cab and give that Kates address

I was a few years since I was in New York and I totally forgot how beautiful it is durning Christmas but I'm also very stressed about meeting Kates mom. She was so chill when she meet my parents but that girl has a little to much confidence. It ended well tho. They loved her

I thank the driver and get out as I walk to the door. I press the buzzer and soon it answers. "Y/n y/l/n" I say smirking knowing she missed me even tho we have been way from each other less then 48 hours

I rush up the stairs and find the right door. I knock and the door files open and I'm pulled in by my Kate. My bags land on the floor as she kiss me passionately. "God I missed you" She mumbles against my lips

When we pull away to breath I speak. "I missed you to my love" Panting I take my shoes of and fall onto the couch. "When do we have to leave for dinner" I ask

"It's in 5 hours so don't stress about it" She says with a sweet smile

"How can I not. What if she doesn't like me"

"Then we will run away and live in California or something. You being a hot CEO and I can be your hot wife"

"Sounds good but doesn't calm my stress" I say pecking her lips

"Then we will have to calm you stress in another way" She smirks at me and her hands finds it way into my pants as her mouth finds it's way back to my lips

Four and a half hours later I'm standing searching through my suit case for something to wear. "What do I wear baby" I yell down to Kate who is tidying up the kitchen like we don't have to leave in 30 minutes

"Wear what ever" She answers making me sighed

"That didn't help me at all. What will you guys be wearing?" I lean on the railing looking down at her

"Mom will probably have some dress but she always dresses fancy. Same with Jack. He will probably have a suit like all the other times. That's honestly so boring they have no sense of style. I will probably wear sweats or something" She say shrugging as she walks up the stairs to me

"If I come in sweats I will look like a homeless person and if you go in it and I don't it will look weird I sorry but you are at least wearing jeans" I say giving her a stern look

"But jeans are so uncomfortable" She whines like a child. "Then you have to wear that tight white t-shirt" She says grabbing a par of jeans and putting them on

"What is your deal with that shirt anyway. It almost counts as to small for me" I say trying to find it in my messy suitcase

"Exactly because it's almost to small it makes you boobs look really good and it shows of your curves which makes you look tall and that hot" She say trying to find a shirt for herself

"I'm meeting your mother. I'm not really going for the hot and sexy look. More the appropriate and responsible"

"Well I'm sorry about that you have no choice because I need something to look at during this dinner so I won't be totally bored and your boobs usually do the job" She counter back smirking at me

"Your so annoying. I hope you know that" I say looking at her still standing and smirking at me. "I know baby yet you are marrying me" That damn smirk

I finally find the shirt and pull it over my head before walking over to her and pushing her back on the bed. "Yea. I am but who could resist you" I smirk back at her and lean down to kiss her but just before our lips meet a start tickling her making her start to hysterically laugh and kick on the bed

When I finally stop she is a panting mess her hair messed up but the smile on her face is that most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I look at my watch to realize we have to leave. "Well you better hurry because we have to leave miss Bishop" "Yes boss" She answers as she stand up and fix the last things before we get into a cab and make our way to her moms house

When we get there Kate leads the way and w e get into a fancy looking elevator and she press the button to the highest floor. I look at myself in the mirror and fix my shirt one last time before I wrap my arms around Kate and the elevator stop

We step out and Kate grabs my hand instead as she leads me into a room while screaming. "Mom. We're here!!" And not long after a woman with dark brown hair comes walking out in a red dress and after follows a man with a mustache and a nice suit on

Kate hugs her mom and say hi to who I guess is Jack. When Kate step back I offer my hand to the woman. "It's nice to meet you Ms Bishop" I say with a piloted smile. She looks at me for a second before shaking my hand. "Nice to meet you too. This is my fiancé Jack" She say gesturing to the man and I offer my hand to him too and she shake it introducing himself

We sit down and start to eat and I kinda suspected I would be asked a lot of questions so when they start I just answer. "So where did you grow up y/n"

"I grew up in Seattle with my family"

"Does your family still live there" Sh continues to ask as Jack and Kate just stay quiet

"Yea. Mom and dad does. My oldest brother just started college now after the summer so he is in LA playing soccer while my youngest brother his a junior in high school so he lives at home still"

"And where do you live"

"Right now Atlanta and I plan to stay until Kate graduates and then I don't know. We haven't talked about it more then to get married" And before Elenor can ask more questions Kate buts in

"And we are getting married first of July and July is going to be our wedding month so don't even think about getting married in July" She basically threatens her mother

"That is just fine Kate. We were think of getting married in the autumn anyway" Jack says making Kate relax as we continue and the questions keep coming but Kate buts in ever now and then probably because she's bored and wants to be a part of the conversation

Three hours later we are saying bye and me and Kate step into the elevator again and as soon as the door close I finally relax and lean against the wall. "Finally. God do you think she liked me?" I asked Kate who was smiling amused at me

"She definitely like the CEO part and she was definitely impressed by the ring and the fact that you knew so much about my child hood. The only negative thing was probably that you are from Seattle" This makes me give her a weird look as we step out of the elevator

"She has something against us or what?" I ask as I grab us an Uber. "No it's just that it's on the other side of the country and so is fully set in me starting to work at Bishop security as soon as I graduate"

"Well do you want to work for her?" I ask as she leans her head on my should

"I don't know. All I know is I want to be with you" I kiss her head before I answer. "You don't have to worry about that. I would move to Europe or Africa or whatever just to be with you" I say

"Good. Because I'm never letting you go" She say pecking my lips
