Itachi POV
I sighed as I swallowed the last pill, I wasn't dumb enough to think I could survive without them, but the Akatsuki had no more medical connections. I was no doubt going to die soon if I couldn't get medicine quickly.
Kisame knew about my situation, he was the only one.
"Who knew the great Itachi Uchiha would die, not at the hands if another ninja, but because of an illness?" Kisame joked, but he had a worried undertone.
"ILLNESS? WHAT ILLNESS?" Tobi asked
"Go Tobi." I told him
"Itachi is going to die because of an illness!" Tobi shouted while running throughout the hideout.
Great. Just great.
A knock on his door caught Itachi's attention. He answered it to see the person he least expected. Hidan.
"Just fucking listen OK, I have a friend and the bitch owes me a favor, anyway she might be able to help with that damn illness Tobi keeps talking about." Hidan said
Itachi couldn't believe his ears, had they been going out along with his eyes?
"Are you going to fucking stand there or come with me?" Hidan said getting impatient.
Itachi didn't answer but instead he walked out and closed his bedroom door. Signalling Hidan to go ahead of him.
They ran for about 20 minutes before they saw a girl with (h/l) (h/c) hair, and a headband matching Hidan's, only hers wasn't scratched. When she saw the pair she smiled and greeted them.
"Hidan! I'm glad to see you're alive!" She said
"Fuck off bitch." Hidan said patting her head in a loving way.
"Is this the infamous Itachi Uchiha? I thought you were playing a prank on me." She said she got closer to me and she gasped.
I couldn't see her face at all. In the week my vision had plummeted. Before I'm sure I could be seen her while she was this close; however, now she was nothing but a blurry blob of colors.
She toughed my face and her brows furrowed and she gasped yet again, but the words that followed soon after weren't what I expected.
"Your corneas are torn to shreads! Its a miracle you can even see!" She exclaimed
"Can you fix him or not bitch?" Hidan asked bluntly.
"I can fix his eyes, but I need to examine him to prescribe any medicine." She answered.
"Will I have use of my sharingon afterwards?" I asked
"So he does speak! And I can promise no Doujutsu will be harmed in the process." She said cheerfully.
I nodded.
"So where the fuck is the office?" Hidan asked
"You two will have to sneak into the village, but luckily I have a plan! So Hidan I got you these clothes, I remembered last time I saw you and you had got a little hefty so I got them in extra large!" She said handing a pile to Hidan.

She just called him fat.
"HEFTY?!" Hidan asked
"Shh! And Itachi I didn't know what size you wore so I got you a medium and it seems I was right!" She said patting my shoulder and giving me a pile as well.
***
"Look Hidan I told you we'd make it!" She said
"Fine bitch you win."
She turned to me and her whole demeanor changed, she took on a more serious persona as she looked at me.
"Itachi, please come with me." She said tying a medical apron on, and leading us down a hallway into a small white room.
"Please sit." She said pointing to a table.
I sat, and the thin paper that was on the table made a crinkling sound. She turned around before speaking.
"The illness you have isn't contagious correct?" She asked
I shook my head.
"OK, if you want I can take the paper off if it'll make you more comfortable." She offered.
I nodded at her, and stood up. Instead of waiting on her to take it off I removed it and put it in the trash bin across the room and sat back down.
She walked toward me. She got a blood pressure machine things dn wrapped it around my upper arm. It started to get bigger and she looked worried at the blood stats.
"Torn corneas, low blood pressure, and a massive illness, seems you've been neglecting your health for quite some time." She joked, her joking personality coming back.
She removed the strap, and checked my ears. She didn't say anything so I guess they were fine. She retrieved a stethoscope and put it on my chest.
"I'm going to move this around four times, and I'll ask for you to take deep breaths each time I move ok?" She asked
I nodded and took breaths when asked.
"Lay down please." She told me, I played down and without warning she lifted up my shirt to reveal nothing more than my lower stomach, and she put the tool to hear my intestine's I suppose.
"Have you eaten in the past 24 hours?" She asked when she pulled my shirt back down.
"No." I replied
"The medicines you've been taking aren't for the illness you have, if anything they've only eaten up your kidneys and thinned your blood." She told me
"In short, the last medic didn't know what they were doing?" I asked
"This disease is easily identified, and even people with little to no experience can detect it, so the only conclusion that makes sense is that they were trying to kill you." She said
"Is there anything that can be done now?" I asked
"I can prescribe steroids that can reverse the kidney issue, And the blood thinning should stop since you aren't going to be taking that medicine, as for your illness it cannot be cured." She told me

My face visibly dropped. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.
"Hey! You didn't let me finish!" She said poking my side. "I can't cure you but I have recently developed a highly concentrated antibiotic that attacks the cells that cause the illness." She told me smiling
"What a coincidence that it happened to be my illness on your mind when it was developing." I chuckled.
"Indeed, we should both thank Hidan the baka for being such a gossip." She laughed
"Perhaps so." I said
"I'll be back with your medicine then we'll fix those eyes of yours!" She said walking out of the room.
As soon as she did Hidan walked into the room.
"She's fine as fuck right!" Hidan said
"I couldn't really see her." I answered honestly
Hidan started to jolt around like an idiot, and got hit by the door opening.
"Baka! I told you to stay in the waiting room." She said
"Listen bitch, I got bored." Hidan said, soon after I heard the sound of something slapping.
"Baka! If you don't stop slapping my ass I'll kill you!" She exclaimed
"I'm immortal baby!" Hidan gloated
"One word, Malnutrition." She said
Hidan seemed to stop talking so it seems he is isn't immortal.
"Now Itachi, close your eyes." She told me
I closed them and she put her hand on my forehead and I passed out.
I opened my eyes and I saw everything clearly. I blinked a few times, and my vision didn't falter once. She completl completely restored my vision. She gave me the best gift of my life.
The door opened to reveal a beautiful woman, and Hidan.
She had beautiful e/c eyes, and her (short/tall) frame was adorned with perfect curves. Her (straight/curly/wavy) hair framed her angelic face perfectly, and her smile radiated innocence and purity.
"Who is she?" I asked Hidan, who was to her right.
This was supposed to be kept confidential, no one but the doctor, Hidan, and I were supposed to know about this, speaking of the doctor where was she?
"You don't recognise the woman who saved your life? I'm offended." The woman said putting a hand on her heart in a dramatic way.
That voice, was this her? No, it couldn't be her, there was simply no way I would've noticed.
"Bro were you that fucking blind? Holy shit man! Y/n you fixed his fucked up eyes?" Hidan asked smirking
"Indeed Hidan, and I would appreciate if you could refrain from so much vulgar language." Y/n said glaring at him, but it came out looking like a baby who didn't get their way.
What happened next wasn't me at all, I'm not sure if it was the fact I got my vision back, or if it was her happy aura that compelled me to do what I did. It was something I haven't done in many years.
I laughed.
"Holy shit y/n you made him fucking laugh! Holy Jashiin my eyes might need checking after this." Hidan told y/n.
I glared at him and all traces of comfort vanished and a look of fear laced his face.
"Itachi can you see fine, any blurry spots?" She asked getting close to my face and examining my eyes.
"I can see." I said, it didn't sound rude, or blunt like my usual voice, but I sounded happy.
"I'm glad to hear that Itachi! Oh and Hidan I need you to leave it'll be swarming with Anbu soon you need to get out as soon as possible." She said practically pushing him out.
"Fine bitch!" He said leaving.
"Shouldn't I leave as well?" I asked
"Try standing up big man." She said laughing
As I tried to move, my legs felt stiff, and slightly numb.
"What are your intentions!" I asked ready to activate my sharingan.
"Relax Itachi. You woke up before the anesthetic could be completely clear out of your system." She said lightheartedly
I relaxed and chuckled at my paranoid mind.
"I guess it's better to be paranoid than perverted." Y/n joked
"I guess so." I replied
"Hungry?" She asked pulling out a bag of tri coloured dango.
I nodded and she turned around and gave me a package of apple sauce. She seemed to be holding back a laugh as she saw my face. I looked up at her and she already had a plate filled with the dango and pushed a button that sat my bed up and a foldable tray and placed the plate in front of me.
"You aren't expected for a few days right?" She asked sitting in one of the chairs and crossing her legs like a child, and eating the dango that weren't on my overflowing plate.
"They expected me to die, so I have plenty of time." I told her
She snapped her fingers, as if remembering something and she got up from her spot.
She came back with my cloak in hand and my ring.
"The radiation would've rusted the ring, and I thought you might like to wear this, it smelled like sweat and blood so I washed it." She told me
I nodded and told her to come closer.
"What are your eyes malfunctioning? Do you-" I cut her off, and kissed her gently.
"A bit forward aren't we Mr. Uchiha?" She asked trying to hide her blush

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
