"Ms. Thing what is your problem, why you looking like that?" I asked Kataleah

"You're going away." She answered salty.

"Where am I going?"

"Away from me, you spending more time with your family now your forgetting about me."

Ryan knows everything that is going on with this situation, with everything almost happening at once I haven't been able to get some time in with Kataleah. On top of that I still owe Ryan a date. It's a harmless date but to me it's more like a goodbye, after this I can't do anything like this with him. Once your at your worse in your life things can only get better, things have definitely slowly but surely getting better in the house.

"I have not forgot about you, I've been busy. Mijo needs to see me just as much as you want to, I do work too you know. I still have things to take care off, but I have not forgot about you."

"It feels like it," she pouted.

"I'm sorry, I'll try a little harder."

"I'm sorry too."

"Come on, get up I want to show you something." I said turning up the music, "This is called the Bronx Wine, it's something I picked up a while ago.

She hopped up, "I wanna try, I wanna try. Is it like this?"

I laughed. "Something close to that, try sticking your foot out then bring your knees in when you come back down."

"Like this?" She tried.

I smiled. "There you go, now swing your hips with it."

"Like this?"

I smiled, "Get it mami, you working it now!"

"Don't break nothing," Chris smirked walking by.

"Whose that?" Kataleah whispered.

"That's Mijo's daddy, you never heard of Chris Brown?"

"No, should I? He's cute though, I approve!"

I laughed. "He's iight, but thank you."

"Mommy I wanna dance too!" Mijo smiled running over to us.

"Okay, okay. Put your foot out like that!" I smiled helping him.

Kataleah pushed him to the floor. "Nooo, I'm dancing with her!"

"Why would you do that, Mijo can play too!"

She held on to my leg "I don't get much time with you, Mijo has his whole life!"

"Apologize to him now!"

"I'm sorry."

Mijo gave her a hug. "It's okay . . . Momma, why she crying

"Mijo go get your bike, come on Kataleah." I said placing my hand on her shoulder

I sat outside on the step with her while Mijo rode his Big Wheel.

"Now what's the matter baby? I can't let you come back here if you push around Mijo like that again!"

"I'm sad."

"Why?"

"I don't want to share you, I don't want you to leave me I need you."

"Why, something wrong at home?"

"Yeah, you're not there

"Baby I told you, I can't come over like I used too. It's just how things are now, your daddy is just a good friend kind of like you and I. Don't be sad."

Kataleah laid her head on my lap, "Can you braid my hair?"

"You got it," I smiled.

"Hey, when did you get fat I don't remember all this?" She questioned.

I laughed, no she didn't. I would tell her I'm pregnant but at this rate she'll probably believe it's her father's baby. This girl wants a real stable family so bad.

"You saying I need to go run or something?" I smirked.

She smiled. No, but no more cookies for you."

I've been picking up Kataleah more frequently since she told me how she's been feeling, I think there might be a problem at home for why she wants to be here so much. But I'm starting to have a problem now because I can't drop Mijo off at Chris's since we living together again, I can't give her that real girl time and she ain't been feeling it. I'm not going to tell my baby to go away so I can play with her, it's not going down like that.

"Brielle can we go see a movie tonight?"

"What do you want to see?"

"A Haunted House!"

"I think that's a little too grown for you, we'll see if there something in your range for you ."

"Mijo, come on you want to see a movie?"

"Oh yes mommy!" He ran towards me, I love when he says that.

"But," Kataleah said.

"Let me just go tell Chris and get my wallet, Kataleah help him down the stairs please ."

I walked away to the bedroom to get my wallet for free movie Tuesday, when I came back my heart stopped. All I saw was Kataleah's arm extended out and Mijo flying down the our marble stairs, soon as he hit the bottom he gasped and let out the loudest cry anyone has ever heard!

"Brielle I didn't -." Kataleah was saying but I ran right pass her.

"Mijo, what happened? Where does it hurt baby tell mommy what's wrong?" I said not wanting to touch him.

"What happened?" Chris said coming down the stairs like a bat out of hell.

Mijo cried pointing. "It hurt, it hurts !" He pointed to his head.

We took him to the emergency room, I was crying to myself cause nobody wants to see their kid hurt like this. I didn't want to believe that Kataleah pushed him but that's what it damn sure looked like. Chris went in with Mijo as I sat out with Kataleah.

"Kataleah tell me right now, exactly what happen?"

"Mijo lost his balance, I tired to catch him but I couldn't reach. Please don't be mad at me, I didn't mean for it to happen." She hugged tight to me.

I grabbed her by her arms and looked her straight in the eye. "Don't lie to me, I swear if you lying I will never come get you again."

Her eyes widen, "Oh please don't do that! I'm not lying, I promise Brielle!"

I called Ryan to come pick Kataleah up, soon as he came so did Chris to the waiting room. It's the first time they seen each other.

Ryan hugged me when he seen Chris, "Little man okay?" He asked.

"I don't know, I'm about to check."

"Call me if you need anything."

"Nah, I think she'll be good" Chris said standing beside me.

Ryan gave him a look then left with Kataleah. "Daddy don't be mad at me, I didn't mean to!" She begged as they walked out the door.

"Is he okay?"

"His shoulder popped out and his knee is swollen, but he doesn't need a cast or anything just a sling to secure his arm.

I shook my head. "I should have just brought him down the steps myself, now my baby is in pain."

"You didn't know, I told him I was going to get him a Scooby Doo ice pop from the vending machine. I couldn't deal with his screaming, it was too much. They're giving him baby aspirin, everything will be good in the morning."

But it wasn't, when one door closes another one opens.

"Mr. Brown?" Some dude knocked on my door with an envelope in his hand.

"What can I do for you?"

"You're being summoned, have a nice day."

"Daddy look, I have a cast like you!" Mijo said showing me his sling.

"Mijo go get mommy!"

I sat down on the couch reading the court papers, this nigga Frank really want to press charges on me. I swear on everything I can't take this shit anymore, it's never somebody else fault. I'm always fucking wrong for what I do. Even if I try to fix things I don't get any praise, everybody always sits and wait for me to fuck up just so they asses can have something to talk about. I can man up to only blaming myself but not every little thing I get myself into is my fault, don't always play into something that seems like the gospel truth because it sounds good.

"What's that?" Brielle asked sitting next to me.

"Court papers, I'm being charged." I said looking down at the papers as if the text would change.

"You serious? You're being served by Frank?"

"Who else?"

"It'll be okay, just get your story straight and don't lie then everything will work in the end."

I sighed putting my hand over my face, Brielle put her arm around me leaning her head against mine. "Maybe after all this is over you should stay hidden for a few years, just stay out of the media and music."

"How am I going to support you, Mijo, and this baby then?" I questioned looking at her.

"We have money Chris, I can handle us for the time being."

"Money isn't always going to be here we do have bills, your check couldn't cover all of them."

"Think about it maybe it's what you need, we can manage that's not a problem."

"It is a problem for me, I don't want you working in the first place you know that. I'm not about to let you try and take care of everything when it should be me that's not the man I am, no I just have to fight this. I'm not going anywhere, I worked too hard to take another backseat."
