I was just wandering around the fair in the school reunion. It's been a while I have been in any fair or something. I first hanged out with my mates and then just roaming here and there. I had every activity around here so I was feeling bored. I searched here and there, for my friends, but none were found. Ah man, I thought I could have some time with one of my old friends especially Ash. As I was just standing near a stall, I heard a voice from behind.

"Serena?"

I turned around and saw it was Calem.

"Hey Calem." I said.

"Hey." He replied.

"So, how you're doing?" I asked.

"I am fine. Well, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked.

"Um, yeah. Tell me." I replied.

"Not here, I want to talk to you in private." He said.

'Hmm, alright." I replied and went to a private area. Once we reached, he holds my hands. What is he doing?

"Um Serena, you know since I first saw you... I fell love with you." He said. OMG! He's saying for real! Suddenly, he bent down on his knees and then takes out a box from his pocket and said," Will you be my girlfriend?"

Now, my mind wasn't blasting off. It's not like I don't like Calem, but I didn't get any literal feelings for him. Yeah, I know he's my close friend, but I never felt something towards him. What shall I do now?

"Serena, I am waiting for your answer." He said while still o his knees. What do I reply? I am seriously confused.

"Well, I guess that's a no." he said with a very disappointed tone. I have decided.

"Hey Calem. I accept you propose." I said, with a huge smile. Calem face turned from sorrow to a huge grin and hugged me tightly.

I hope I did the correct thing. Did I?

"We are a couple now."

My heartbeat was just stopped. I can't believe my ears that I was hearing this. Serena why did you do it. Why? I loved you from the bottom of my heart, and you just... but, you are smiling.

Wait, Serena seems happy. She doesn't seem to have any tension or stress. She is smiling on her high. Who am I to let her love whom I want? She is happy and that's all important for me. And I am her best friend. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my elbow. I turned around and saw Gary and Dawn with sad faces.

"Ash, we need to talk right now privately." Gary said.

"Hmm. OK." I replied and went to a silent private area where no one could hear us. On reaching, Gary turned me to himself and said," Ash I don't know how it happened but you have to tell your feelings to Serena."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Ash, you really love Serena, not that Camel." Dawn replied.

"But Dawn, first turn around and see Serena again." I said.

"Ash listen to- "before she could reply, I interrupted her.

"Just see once." I said. She sighed and turned around.

"See, Serena's happy. She's smiling. That's what matters the most." I replied. Dawn notices it to but couldn't express.

"But Ash- "I interrupted him by replying," No buts Gary."

"But what about your feelings for her?" Dawn asked.

"Let it be like a blow of air. It came and went, that's all." I replied.

"If you say so, and sorry." Gary said to which I kept my hand on his shoulder and replied," Just leave it. I think, falling for Serena was just a memory. Her name wasn't in my diary of life. So, leave it. And specially, I promised Calem that whatever decisions he would take, I will be supporting him."

"Hey! We all are celebrating for Calem and Serena. Join us!" May said from behind.

"Yeah coming!" I replied and went to them. Well, I am hurt from all of this, but it's the truth. Calem and Serena also look pretty together. But... never mind. I will get used with it. Would I?
