《More Than You Realize》Chapter 27: Problems Nearby

To say I wasn't happy to be back, would be a huge lie. I don't know what Ty did to me to make me think the way I did, but it worked. It worked all too well. Something good did come out of it though. My powers have been amplified quite a bit, and I can do a few more things now.
"Hey! Sabre! Do mind helping me out real quick!" Galaxy Steve's voice called out. I turned to the galaxy haired Steve and nodded me head.
"Sure... what's up?" I asked walking over to him. He smiled and pointed to a chest.
"We're trying to remodel the house some. Ya know, make it bigger. We have so many people with us, now. We need more space than what we have," he explained. I nodded my head in agreement.
"Yeah, you're not wrong. We definitely need more space. What do you want me to do?" I asked once again. He let out a small chuckle.
"Well... could you take the blocks and put them on top. We kinda want to build another story on the house, and make it wider around it all... and make it more welcoming..." Galaxy Steve said as he rubbed his arm. I laughed before using some telekinesis to move the blocks that were placed in the chest.
"No problem, dude. Just tell me where to put them, and I'll do it," I said twirling the blocks around in the air. Galaxy Steve smiled and clasped his hands together happily.
"Thanks man! Okay, now I want you to add 3 layers of wood for an outline up top," Galaxy Steve said pointing to the very top of the house. I nodded my head and proceeded with the command.
This went on for a while. Galaxy Steve telling me where to place blocks, and I would do as told. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we were satisfied with the work.
It looked a lot better. It was more welcoming than before. It was bigger than before, but we would hav to take out the "current roof" that was still in the house. We were going to take out the roof we had when it was smaller, but was interrupted by a screech.
"What was that!" Galaxy Steve exclaimed as he turned in the general direction of the screech.
"I-I don't know!" I exclaimed back even though we were next to one another. The others came up to us, questioning the screech as well.
"Should we check it out?" Alex asked. I nodded my head.
"It came from over here. Let's go!" I exclaimed while rubbing in the direction of the screech. I heard some moans, then the sound of grass being crunched underneath running feet.
We ran and ran, not once stopping. All of our breathing was labored, but we pushed ourselves. Finally, after what felt like forever, we came across a decent sized village. To our shock, it wasn't filled with villagers. Well, there was a few here and there.
This village was filled with people that were not Steve's nor villagers. It was filled with people like me, except probably ordinary. How come we never knew of this place? We live somewhat close to it.

However, I shouldn't worry about why we didn't know it was there. All that matters, is that we, now, know, and the people here are in danger. Many people ran into their houses, only for them to be destroyed.
I felt my anger boil within me. Quickly, before I lost control of my powers, I called myself down. I let out a deep breath I had, apparently, been holding.
"Sabre?" Jake asked worryingly. I knew he was scared of me losing it. I nodded my head, signaling that I was okay. I faced the guy that was causing havoc in the village.
"HEY!" I yelled getting the guy's attention. He stopped attacking some random kid and faced me. I took a small step back, seeing the evil glare he was giving us. "LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE!"
"AND WHY WOULD I DO THAT?!" he instantly retaliated. I flinched from the sound of his evil voice. I regained myself, and growled at him slightly. He flew over to us, making the others run away. All of them... just left. Babies!
"You will listen to me. I will destroy you no matter the cost of myself. Leave these people alone, and everything will be alright. Stay... and I'll make sure this village is your grave," I threatened. 'What am I saying! I can't hold up to that!'
He chuckled. His feet got planted on the gravel of the walkway softly. The sound of rocks scraping against one another rung within a small radius.
"Fine... I'll leave them alone. I'm only after you and your friends, anyway," he said. I flinched before I began to run backwards. He fire a firecharge at me, and I dodged it. "Awe... don't run, Sabre. It will only hurt more when I capture you."
"I'm really sick of being captured, and HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!" I yelled dodging a few more attacks. He laughed.
"Doesn't everyone? You're Sabre! The savior of all, that spark of hope everyone is looking for, and the most powerful non-Steve living!" he yelled.
The ground in front of me raised into the air, cutting me off of my dodging path. I, quickly, found another way before shooting a stream of fire at him. He didn't expect me to attack him the way I did, so he wasn't able to dodge.
He grunted as he landed yards away from where he once stood. I smirked before motioning to my friends.
"Get the citizens out of here. I'll try to get this person away, but for safety, get them out!" I yelled looking back to the recovering figure. I growled before making a sword of electricity. I charged at him (no pun intended).
"You will pay, Sabre!" the male yelled as he slashed his own weapon to block mine.
"You know my name, so I think I should know your's. Then I'll know who to make a check out to," I smirked. I couldn't help myself. It was probably a bad joke, and especially bad timing.
"Hahah... so funny. You can go in debt after this," he smirked back. Oof. "And, my name isn't important right now. All you need to know, is that I plan on defeating you."

"Why are there constantly villains after me? Slade took care of himself and fixed his mistakes. There's an evil version of me trying to control me. Ty keeps trying to either control me, or steal my powers! Now, you're after me! You people need a better li-AH!" I called out as I felt something sharp stab my back. My eyes screwed shut, and my lips pierced together tightly.
"Heheheheh... You tried, Sabre. I knew you would try and save a pathetic village such as this one. Honestly, stop being so gullible," Ty taunted as he walked around me. I barely opened an eye to look at him, and I gave him a glare as I did so.
"T-Ty... Yo-you two a-are w-working t-t-together?" I stuttered in pain as my body collapsed to the ground. They both laughed evilly before giving each other a high five. "Y-you won't w-w-win..."
"I think we've already won, Sabre," the unidentified male said as he looked at his destruction. I growled at him. I felt my anger boil. My veins burned, and my sanity began slipping away. I think they saw this change.
"There was more of a purpose in making you lose your sanity before, Sabre. Now that it has happened once, it's much easier for you to lose it again. Soon, you may be labeled mentally insane. Then, no one will ever trust you again," Ty said as his eyes turned pitch black. The scars under his eyes glowed brightly as he made his point. I began to laugh.
"While that IS true, I'm stronger than what you think I am!" I yelled before releasing a lot of my energy. Both Ty and the other male grunted as they flew back. I couldn't but smirk before I began to run away from the village, knowing they were after me.
Sabre ran out of the village. Ty growled, and began to follow him. However, the other guy kept him back. Ty raised an annoyed eyebrow at him.
"What are you doing? Let me go after him!" Ty yelled as he tossed the other off of him. The male growled, making Ty freeze in his place.
"He thinks you'll chase him, and will lead you away from the village. How about, you take his friends for once. You know he'll do whatever you say if you succeed with that," he said with a smirk. Ty looked between the evil male and the running Sabre, then to Sabre's friends. A smirk formed on his face.
"Hmm... let's try it," Ty said before flying down to Sabre's friends. Each one was trying to save he citizens, but froze when the new villain and Ty landed in front of them.
"What do you two want?" Jake snarled as he stood in front of he group. Ty and the other guy smirked.
"A different approach to a certain problem," the villain said. He snapped his fingers. Suddenly, a cage formed around the small group.
Void Steve exclaimed as he rammed into the iron bars. The evil figures laughed. The male looked to Ty.
"You stay here. I'll go fetch our little prize," he said flying off to find Sabre. Ty nodded his head and looked back to the group.
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Rainbow Steve exclaimed.
The evil villain flew high above the ground, hoping to spot the little human running around somewhere. Unfortunately, he spotted him. The opposing force landed in front of Sabre, cutting him off from his track. Sabre skidded to a halt, only to fall on the ground in the process.
"Well well well... Hello there, Sabre Favre," the male said as he neared Sabre. Sabre backed away, glaring at him.
"Who are you?" he asked holding his arm in front of him for protection. The guy smirked.
"That's not important, now is it?" he said as he almost touched Sabre. He was that close, making Sabre very uncomfortable.
"It kind of is. You're trying to kidnap me or something, and I would like to know who is doing so," Sabre said. The man laughed evilly.
"Sabre... you don't really need to know. All you need to know, is that I will be your demise," the man said as he stroked Sabre's hair. Sabre flinched and clenched his eyes shut.
Suddenly, the male's hand clasped around Sabre's mouth. His eyes flew open in shock. The male took out some bottle and held it in front of Sabre's face. He popped the top off of the bottle, releasing an unpleasant smell. Sabre tried to get away, but the he was pinned by the other to the ground.
Sabre felt a sense of tiredness consume him. His eyelids twitched to stay open, but ultimately failed. He gave one last glare at the person before completely passing out.
I threw my energy at Ty, but he dodged it. I continued my barrage of attacks. Tyler just laughed amusingly. He found this little battle funny?
"Ty... let's go," the other villain called out as he flew not to far behind Ty. He nodded his head, and joined his new partner. I growled.
"WHERE'S SABRE!" I yelled tossing another ball of energy at the pair. The opposing male growled.
"You'll find out sooner or later," he replied before the two disappeared.
"Great... now what?" Mary asked as she flew next to me. I sighed and shook my head.
"I don't know," I said. "We need to repair the village and find Sabre."
"Uh... guys?" Rainbow Steve said worryingly. We all looked at the concerned Steve.
"What?" Alex questioned impatiently.
"We have a huge problem!" Rainbow Steve exclaimed pointing at something in the distance. We all looked over, and I think my heart stopped beating.
"W-who are y-you guys?"
