《More Than You Realize》Chapter 24: Never Thought It Would Be This Way

Days went by, and Sabre still never showed up. Jake barely talked. He came out with his thoughts about why Sabre left. He won't believe any of us when we say it wasn't him.
"Jake... you have to eat!" Mary exclaimed from outside of his closed door. Silence was the only response she got. Mary growled a little and began to hit the door. "JAKE FAVRE! YOU BETTER COME OUT RIGHT NOW!"
"NO!" a voice finally responded. Mary flinched, and ceases her banging on the door.
She walked back over to us, her face full of concern. Alex put a hand on her shoulder.
"You tried. He just needs some time," Alex explained calmly. Mary nodded her head in agreement.
Void Steve asked. No one answered.
Void Steve disappeared. I assumed he teleported himself into Jake's room.
"I still find it weird that Sabre left without any warning. It's not like him. I know he has trouble sleeping at times, but to not come back after one of his little strolls? What could've happened?" I asked breaking the silence that lingered in the room.
"Maybe Ty and Evil Sabre happened," Rainbow Steve mumbled quietly. I blinked a few times, trying to understand if he was being serious or not. Sometimes, it's hard to tell. "What if they found him as he was walking back?! What if they kidnapped him?!"
He went into a full blown panic attack. He kept rambling on about how we would be too late to save Sabre, and all of the bad things they would do to him. I saw Mary and Alex begin to worry some more.
"Rainbow Steve! Calm down!" I exclaimed. Rainbow Steve stopped talking, but I could tell he was still thinking about all of the possibilities that could've happened to Sabre.
Alex and Mary tried to calm him down as well. However, he continued to clutch his rainbow locks of hair out of fear.
Void Steve said grabbing onto Rainbow Steve's shoulders. Jake exited his room shortly after Void Steve returned.
"I-I-I fear something did! I can't get away from that thought!" Rainbow Steve exclaimed.
"Is that a hunch? That's a dang good one," a familiar voice said. We all snapped our heads towards the front door, and my heart came to a stop.
Sabre stood there, arms crossed, and his bandana moved to show his red eye. He wore an evil smirk, for some odd reason. His hair looked like it went through a tornado. He held a diamond sword in his right hand tightly. Behind him stood his evil self and Ty. Both had evil smirks on their face.
"SABRE!" Jake yelled happily as he began to make his way over to Sabre. Sabre's smirk faltered. He took a step away from Jake and swung his sword in front of Jake.
"Back away!" Sabre yelled. Jake stopped where he was and stared at Sabre. I didn't know how to react myself.
"What are you saying, Sabre?" I asked nervously. Sabre smirked once again, and I swear, his expression was all kinds of messed up.

"What am I saying? WHAT AM I SAYING?! Hahahahahah!" he laughed insanely. Jake, quickly, back-stepped to us. Tears stained his cheeks, and his eyes were blood red. "You all lied to me. You guys said you cared; said you would help. In all honesty, you were of me. You me to fail. Well, NoT aNyMoRe! I'm InSaNe, If YoU cAn'T sEe!"
His clothes flashed as he slouched over. Blood scattered across his clothes. It looked like he just came back from an intense murder. His eyes went small, and anyone could tell he was insane.
What lead to this, though? What did we do to cause this?
"Sabre! What are you saying?! We didn't do anything!" Rainbow Steve yelled hurtfully. He was in the same state as Jake.
"My, my. You guys are dumber than I thought. "You didn't do anything?" LIERS! You've always envied me. You've always been jealous of me. And, Jake. You're the worst of all! You think you can just show up? After everything you did, and you want me to believe you care about me! How pathetic do you think I am!" Sabre yelled madly. Jake was... well... I think he was gone.
"S-Sabre... THIS ISN'T YOU!" Jake yelled in denial.
"Come on, Sabre! You've got to see what you're doing is wrong!" Alex yelled holding his staff out to Sabre. It began to glow. This only increased the smirk on Sabre's face.
"Ooh... MAGIC! Go AhEaD! HiT mE wItH eVeRyThInG yOu'Ve GoT!" Sabre yelled holding his arms out to the side. Alex flinched a little.
"Sabre... I don't want to!" Alex yelled desperately.
"Come on, Sabre. We're not going to attack you!" Mary yelled.
"Oh, but I want you to attack me. I want you to use everything you've got. Go On, AlEx! AtTaCk Me!" Sabre yelled.
"Go ahead, Alex. Attack Sabre. Attack the friend you betrayed. Attack the friend you envied. Attack the friend THAT IS NOW YOUR ENEMY!" Ty yelled placing his hands on each of Sabre's shoulders.
I was in full blown tears by now. This isn't the Sabre I knew when I first meet him.
"UGH!" Alex yelled before firing some sort of energy at Sabre. We all yelled at Alex, basically saying how dumb he was. Jake tried to save Sabre, but there was no way he could've made it.
A cloud of dust covered the area where Sabre, Evil Sabre, and Ty stood. Mary began to yell at Alex, but what she was saying was gibberish. I think it was a different language. Maybe something they speak in their kingdom.
"Wow... that tickled. Wanna try again?" Sabre's voice spoke from the dust.
We all looked towards the clearing dust, eyes wide as the figures stood unharmed. Alex took a step back out of fear.
"Wh-what?" he mumbled loudly. "Impossible!"
"Not exactly impossible, Alex. Simply put it, In stronger than you. You should know that; it's a reason I was looked down upon," Sabre said with a growl.

"Sabre! That's not true!" Jake yelled. Sabre growled even more, making Jake flinch away.
"IT IS! I WAS LOOKED DOWN UPON BY YOU JEALOUS PEOPLE! Ty helped me when I was left alone. Ty shows me the way to go! Now... now... I wIlL sHoW yOu ThIs PoWeR!" Sabre yelled before holding his hand out to launch an attack.
A ball of lightning formed at the palm of his hand. Ty and Evil Sabre has smirks plastered on their face. You couldn't see Sabre's face because his hand was in front of it.
He didn't take much time before launching his attack. None of us knew what to do. We all stood there, waiting for the impact of the lightning to come. However, that impact never came.
Jake stood in front of all us, and is hand was extended towards the evil figures. A black aura surrounded his hand, the same color as the barrier he had put up.
Both Sabre's and Ty looked shocked at this power. All three growled. Jake flinched a little; he acted like he didn't know he was using his powers.
"Wh-what?" Jake whispered as he brought his hand down. The aura left from around his hand, and the barrier left as well.
"Looks like Jake discovered his powers. Good job, Jake. Do you want a medal?" Ty congratulated sarcastically.
"I want my brother back," he said with a growl. Ty laughed.
"Come on, Jake. Have your request within reachable standards," Ty said putting his hand on Sabre's shoulder. "How about... I make it easier. There's been a person I need to eliminate of since Sabre is on my side."
"Huh?" we all gasped. Evil Sabre looked at him questionably before realizing something.
"Y-you mean..." he said backing away slowly. Ty nodded his head in agreement.
Ty snapped his fingers as Evil Sabre ran away. Suddenly, he just disappeared in a flame.
We all screeched. Sabre's smirk grew as we all showed our fear.
"Welp... there goes that nuisance," Ty said.
'My magic did nothing...' That thought kept running in and out of my head. I've never been in any situation where my magic did nothing at all! Sabre seems... more powerful now? And why does he keep saying we were jealous?!
"Why do you guys seem so clueless about the betrayal? It's obvious how you guys feel about me being so powerful. Especially you, Rainbow Steve. It's obvious how jealous you are," Sabre said pointing to the rainbow-colored Steve.
"WHAT?!" Rainbow Steve yelled in shock.
"What do you mean, Sabre! That's a bunch of bull crap!" I yelled.
"It's not a bunch of bull crap, Alex. Rainbow Steve's been with someone just like him for a long time... powerless. Now, I have many abilities. Rainbow Steve was the runt of the "squad" with no powers. Jealousy," Sabre explained. Rainbow Steve's eyes began to water.
"Sabre... that's not true!" Rainbow Steve yelled. "I've never been jealous of you, Sabre! Why would you think that all of a sudden?!"
"Oh please. It's always been there, but I was just to naïve to notice. I realized the truth, and this is where it lead me," Sabre said gesturing to Tyler.
'My magic may not affect Sabre, but maybe they will Ty!' I thought charging up an attack. No one seemed to notice.
"Sabre... please, come back to us," Galaxy Steve pleaded.
Void Steve yelled joining in on the conversation. Sabre began laughing like a maniac.
"Come back? How pathetic are you guys?" he asked sarcastically. 'It's ready!'
"We're not pathetic, but you are!" I exclaimed launching the energy at Ty.
He had no time to react. It hit him square in the chest. Sabre flinched some as Ty was tossed into the wooden wall behind them.
His showing eye flashed pure red as he faced us once again. He clutched his locks of hair and pulled on them. I flinched. 'Was Ty controlling him? What am I saying... of course he was.'
"NO!" Sabre yelled as he began to go to the ground. We all rushed over to help him, but he glared at us. That was a signal to stay away. "STOP THIS!"
"Sabre..." Jake mumbled worryingly. Sabre let out a growl, which also sounded like a cry for help.
"No! Back away! Get out of me! Stop this!" he yelled out. None of us knew what to do. It pained us all to watch our friend suffer the way he is. "Jake... brother... HELP ME!"
"Sabre!" Jake yelled as he ran over to Sabre. As soon as he got there, Sabre growled and tossed him to the ground. "What..."
"StAy BaCk!" Sabre exclaimed as his eyes turned pure red. He let out a low growl. However, following that growl as an evil laughter.
"Hahahah! Did you really think I would be stopped that easily?! The rage Sabre is experiencing right now, is fueling me!" Ty exclaimed proudly. A red mist left Sabre's body and traveled over to where Ty, now, stood.
"So... that flash..." I mumbled. I was an idiot.
"That red flash is his anger. I feed off the anger he feels!" Ty exclaimed as all of the mist left Sabre's body and disappeared into Tyler. Sabre's eyes returned its' normal red.
"So..." I said completely realizing what I just did.
"That's right, Alex. You just enlarged my powers!" Ty exclaimed evilly. I felt all of the color drain from my face.
The only thing I could hear was my staff as it collided with the ground. Each end bounced many times before it came to a complete halt on the ground. My vision blurred. This has never happened before.
