《More Than You Realize》Chapter 9: Rest or Work?

My vote was to rest another day... then we would work on other things. But no! In this world, majority wins, and all three Steve's said that we need to actually work today.
I don't think they realize how stressed I am, or how tired I am over the events in the past few days.
"Okay. Rainbow Steve, you will go and find a few more resources. We've used up most of them here recently. Void Steve and I will work with Sabre and his powers. After yesterday's events, it became clear you need to control them better," Galaxy Steve said pointing around just about everywhere. My head was spinning.
"You two aren't going to argue the whole time, are you?" I asked worryingly. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow.
"What? No! We made a deal; to work together until you can control your powers better!" Galaxy Steve said happily. I sighed.
"And when I can? Will you two go back to yelling in my ears constantly?" I asked. Both of them blushed, and looked away. Rainbow Steve and I laughed.
"Sabre, that would be a yes," Rainbow Steve said with a laugh. I laughed with him.
Void Steve mumbled. I heard Galaxy Steve grumble in agreement.
"Dang... you guys can't even mumble/grumble quietly. I can hear ya from over here!" I exclaimed, pretending to be far away, and yelling in their faces.
They flinched away, and glared at me.
"Might wanna watch your tone. You have to spend the next few hours with us," Galaxy Steve said with a smirk. Every ounce of happiness and confidence left, and was replaced by fear.
Void Steve smirked. Rainbow Steve and I were quiet.
"Oh! Would ya look at the time? I have to go get resources now. By Sabre, and good luck!" Rainbow Steve yelled. He ran off in the direction of a mine, leaving me with the two most powerful Steve's in the universe, which I just made mad.
"Heheh... it's a nice day out, is it not?" I asked sheepishly. Both Steve's smirked at me, then, Galaxy Steve lunged at me.
I yelped, and dodged him before he could get me. Void Steve lunged as well. I wasn't able to dodge him. He pinned me into the dirt below. We looked at each other, then began bursting out laughing.
Void Steve loosened his grip on me, so I rolled away some. He fell the the dirt as well, and we continued to laugh our heads off.
Galaxy Steve rolled closer, and began laughing as well. We stayed like that for a few minutes.
We all ended up on our backs, and looking up to the clouds as the stroll by, and still laughing. This was right. It felt so good to be laughing with the two most powerful Steve's known in existence.

"We really need to work, but I don't know if we can, heheh," Galaxy Steve chuckled, resting his arms behind his head.
Void Steve said, taking a quick glance at Galaxy Steve.
"You wanna know what's really nice?" I asked with a smile. "The fact that you two are actually getting along right now. Void Steve, you've really changed. I'm gonna be honest, I feel like I can consider you as a friend, now."
Void Steve shot up and looked at me in shock. I raised an eyebrow, but still smiled warmly. Galaxy Steve laughed, but in an agreeing way.
A small smile formed on his lips, and a few tears couldn't help but leave his red eyes to roll down his cheek. He, quickly, wiped them away so we couldn't see, but it was too late for that.
Galaxy Steve and I laughed as Void Steve fought the keep the tears away. He joined in on the laugh.
Void Steve laughed. He sounded so different; more happy. He didn't sound as evil as before. It was nice.
"You caused it!" Galaxy Steve laughed pointing at him.
Void Steve yelled, but I knew he was just kidding... or maybe not.
He lunged at me. I yelped, but rolled away. He slid on the dirt below, getting mud and grass all over his hoodie. I puffed my cheeks out to help contain my laughter, but I failed. I bursted out laughing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" I laughed falling back down to the ground. Galaxy Steve laughed as well.
Void Steve growled as he picked himself back up from the ground. Without any warning, he lunged again. I wasn't able to dodge.
He pinned me to the ground. He didn't expect him to actually get me, so he fell on top of me.
Both of our faces were red; I knew mine was because my face was burning. Our eyes went wide from shock. Any closer, and we would probably be kissing.
He sprung up, but he was straddling my waist. I hid my face in my hands, and he did as well.
Galaxy Steve couldn't stop laughing to hard to do anything. Neither of us had courage to say anything.
"Oh! This is absolutely hilarious! I will make sure you two NEVER live this down!" Galaxy Steve exclaimed as he rolled around on the ground.
Void Steve stood up, then offered his hand to help me up. I accepted, my face still flustered. We barely looked at each other. That was embarrassing.
Void Steve said. He began walking away, so I followed.
"Awe... don't worry, Voidy. It will definitely come back up," Galaxy Steve said happily as he stood up himself. Void Steve glared at Galaxy Steve, and I just raised an eyebrow.

"Did you just call him, Voidy?" I asked trying to contain some laughter.
Void Steve said with a slight growl. Galaxy Steve blushed a little, then began to stutter.
"U-uh... w-well would ya l-look at the time? W-we should get to t-training now, sh-shouldn't we?" Galaxy Steve stuttered. He ran away from us before we could answer him.
Void Steve and I looked at each other, then began to laugh. He may not let us live that moment down, but we wouldn't let him live him calling Void Steve, Voidy, any time soon.
"Okay, so think of an emotion, any emotion. Let that emotion fuel you, but control it at the same time," Galaxy Steve said. He backed away to stand beside Void Steve, and away from me.
Void Steve said. I nodded.
I closed my eyes. I decided to use anger as my emotion. I figured, that's the emotion I need to deal with the most. That's what will be my worst enemy.
I thought back to when Slade injured my friends. I felt that boiling feeling in my chest. I gritted my teeth. I was so mad; just the thought of him hurting my friends enraged me.
"GOOD! ANGER! Okay, now, don't let it completely control you. Anger matches fire. When you feel this emotion, that is what power will be powered up. Now, use your fire, but calmly," Galaxy Steve said. 'What?'
Void Steve explained. I nodded.
I took in a deep breath, then let it out. I was still mad at Slade for what he did, but I felt more in control. I opened my eyes, and almost yelled in shock.
I didn't even realize I was floating in mid-air. My hands had bits of fire sparking from them. I smiled. I felt like myself. I didn't feel a need to kill, or do anything irrational.
I began to fly around, letting little bits of fire surround me. I laughed.
"Hey! This is really fun!" I exclaimed happily. The next thing I knew, Void Steve, Galaxy Steve, and I were flying high in the air.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't what they wanted to happen from me using emotions to power my powers, but hey, we're all laughing, right? I could see a large part of the world from up here, and it felt awesome.
Galaxy Steve flew by me, causing me to snap from my daze. I fell a little, but I was able to recollect myself before I fell more. I laughed, but crossed my arms.
"Not cool, man. Sorry, though. I feel like we got sidetracked," I laughed sheepishly. Void Steve flew up beside me, and then around me some.
Void Steve said shrugging his shoulders a little bit. I flinched a little.
"Really? So we can continue to do this for the rest of the day?" I asked hopefully. Both Steve's began to laugh.
"Hahahah! NO!" Galaxy Steve laughed before he got serious. I flinched back, like a lot. He crossed his arms, and somewhat glared at me. "We can't just fly around the rest of the day; we have work to do."
Void Steve said crossing his arms as well. I pouted, but began making my way back down to the ground.
Both Steve followed me down. We all landed softly, and stood in silence. I raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Well? What are we doing next, then?" I asked. Both blushed. 'They have no clue... do they?'
"What was your idea?" Galaxy Steve whispered, like I couldn't hear him. Void Steve acted shock, and confused; probably because he was.
Void Steve whispered back.
"You know I can hear you, right?" I asked smugly. "Look, I already know how to control my powers, for the most part. When Slade controlled me, I gained a lot of knowledge on my powers. I can do quite a bit."
Void Steve exclaimed. He didn't want to look like a fool, funny.
Void Steve exclaimed grabbing the sides of his head. Galaxy Steve flinched, and raised a confused eyebrow at him. I smirked.
"Yeah, it hurts me as well if I do it for to long, but it's fun," I said.
"What was it?" Galaxy Steve asked.
"OW! THAT DOES HURT. SON OF A-" Galaxy Steve yelled.
"HEY! NO CUSSING ALLOWED! CHILDREN COULD BE READING THIS!" I yelled breaking the fourth wall. Void and Galaxy Steve looked at me funny.
"edn ti?they both asked. I nodded.
"Yes! Reading this. DON'T QUESTION IT!" I yelled. They both flinched, and put their hands up in defense.
"ky" they both said in unison. I smiled.
"Anyways... what are we doing now?" I asked. They both looked at one another, then sighed.
"Well, you already know how to do a few things because of the whole mind controlled thing, so we won't do anything else," Galaxy Steve said looking at the ground.
"Okay... but I'm pretty sure you're just doing that because you have no clue what to do," I said with a slight shrug.
"SHHHHH!!" Galaxy Steve hushed. "Don't say it too loudly!"
Void Steve asked. Galaxy Steve blushed, then disappeared.
"Um... okay?" I said slowly. Void Steve shook his head and sighed.
he said as he lifted himself off of the ground.
I did the same, and we flew back to the house.
