《Jenlisa - When You Realize You Love Her (COMPLETED)》Twelve

They were walking to the parking lot where the bus parked. Donghyuk had to stay behind since he needed to help the other guys to set down the tents. He felt bad he couldn't accompany Lisa. Lisa tried her best to drag her feet to move forward since the terrain was pretty bad and she needed to be extra careful. She almost tripped but managed to hold her stand but her bag dropped to the ground. She scrunched her nose as the pain from her ankle came back and when she was about to take her bag on the ground, someone already grabbed it. Lisa looked at the person and found Jennie carrying her bag. Lisa was confused why Jennie helped her after all this time and she was also scared of getting yelled at again.
"Seems like you could use some helps." She said.
Lisa was speechless didn't know what to say since the memory of Jennie who was scolding her kept popping up in her head. She was scared of whatever she would say gonna end up bad; so she stayed quiet.
Jennie noticed the silence from the taller girl when they continued walking side by side.
"How is your ankle?" she asked.
Lisa got startled by the sudden question from the girl beside her. She thought Jennie didn't care at all but now she was asking her condition, she should have been a little bit happier because at least Jennie asked which meant she cared.
"It-it's better." Lisa answered. Jennie just nodded.
They continued walking and then Lisa almost tripped again. This time, Jennie was fast enough to help her. "Be careful." she said while looking at her ankle, worried that Lisa might hurt her ankle again.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Then their eyes met. Lisa gulped.
Without thinking further, Jennie immediately grabbed Lisa's left hand and held it. Their hands fit each other well and Lisa felt Jennie's hand much warmer. When Lisa realized that Jennie was holding her hand, her heart skipped a beat.
"I will make sure you are not going to trip again. Come on. Just walk slowly." Jennie said in much softer voice. She led the way which was followed by Lisa from her back. Lisa's cheeks got redden upon hearing the soft voice from her senior.
They arrived in the parking lot, walking hand in hand. Lisa's heart beat had not slowed down since Jennie held her hand. Jennie helped to carry Lisa's bag and put it in the trunk. She also made sure Lisa could get on to the bus without hurting her feet as she had been supporting her body from behind. They were now in the bus and Lisa walked to the middle seat still holding hand with Jennie. Lisa sat down and that was when Jennie released her hand. There was a slight disappointment seen from Lisa's eyes.

"I have to go check everything before we are leaving. You stay here, don't go anywhere. You hear me?" Jennie ordered. Lisa just nodded, feeling intimidated by those eyes. Jennie then disappeared from Lisa's sight. Lisa finally released her breath that she had been holding but her heart was still busy pounding hard. She put her hand on her left chest wondering why she had been acting this way toward her senior.
There was no way she liked Jennie, she thought. But did she really not?
Students started entering the bus and began to fill the empty seats. Lisa's eyes were searching a certain brunette and her eyes landed at Donghyuk who quickly entered the bus. He walked towards Lisa's seat while smiling. He without hesitation immediately sat next to Lisa and asked her about her ankle.
"I am really sorry I couldn't accompany you earlier. How is your ankle?" he said. His voice seemed full of concern.
Lisa smiled and answered, "It's getting better. And please don't apologize. It is not like it is your responsibility to take care of me."
Donghyuk frowned, "Please don't say that. I want to because I care about you."
Lisa got startled hearing Donghyuk's statement. It was her first time someone saying they cared right in front of her. Lisa was unsure what he meant by that. Donghyuk kept looking at her and his eyes told honesty. Maybe he thought Lisa as his friend and that was what friends were for.
Suddenly, a cough was heard which startled them both. Lisa looked up only to find Jennie stood there looking straightly at her with no expression at all. Lisa's heart began to beat again and she kept praying inside that Jennie would not scold her or anything since her expression was totally different from earlier. Before Jennie began to speak, she slightly glanced over Donghyuk who looked straight at the back seat in front of him, avoiding her gazes.
"Make sure you apply these to your sprained ankle." Jennie extended her hand that held a bag of ice to Lisa. Lisa was confused and yet happy with the fact that Jennie went all the way to get her a bag of ice for her sprained ankle. Lisa took the bag while glancing at the older girl in front of her.
"Thank you," Lisa said in low voice.
Jennie nodded flashing a brief smile on her lips. She glared at Donghyuk for the last time before walking back to her seat.

"What is her problem?" Donghyuk muttered under his breath feeling hunted by the older girl.
Lisa could only sigh and started applying the ice bag on her ankle.
Two weeks just passed that fast and by that time Lisa's ankle had been healed. Student council had been busy since school festival was approaching and they were preparing the concept etc.
Lisa had been spending most of her time in council office along with everyone else especially Donghyuk. Donghyuk and Lisa somehow got much closer than before which gained so many questions apparently from others but Lisa being oblivious as she was, she didn't really seem to notice. They were working on the work sheet handed by Irene before on the round table. Lisa was very serious working on the tasks while Donghyuk at times glanced over the girl beside him, seemed not to focus on the task given.
Lisa oddly felt someone had been watching her and she decided to slowly raise her head. It was that fast for Lisa's heart to get triggered to beat rapidly when her gaze met with the beautiful cat-eyes of Jennie who happened to stand not far from where Lisa and Donghyuk were siting. Jennie was standing there with her arms crossing while watching the two figures who were discussing the tasks. Jennie met Lisa's eyes then averted her eyes quickly. Lisa then slowly lowered her head while clenching her eyes shut; feeling her heart beat which got quickened.
Lisa lately always ended up with Jennie in the same room, same hours. Fortunately, with somebody else. She was grateful that she didn't end up being alone with Jennie because she didn't know what to say to her if that happened. Lisa excused herself to go to toilet. She just got out from the office until Jennie surprisingly walked past her and stood in front of her. It startled Lisa. Jennie didn't show any expression and she had her arms crossed, observing the girl in front of her. Lisa bit her lower lips, scared being glared by the older girl.
"You have to be more careful with guys especially Donghyuk." Jennie started to speak. Lisa was confused why Jennie suddenly warned her about Donghyuk or maybe guys in general.
"May I know why?" Lisa asked.
Jennie scoffed, "Just listen to me. I don't want you to loosen up your guard when a guy shows interest in you."
Lisa titled her head and felt more confused by Jennie's statement. Why Jennie went through all this way just to warn Lisa about Donghyuk. Lisa started to get closer with a few of male students eventhough it was still in the student council circle but still she considered them friends. Never once Lisa thought that anyone would be interested in her. But it was weird that Jennie specifically mentioned Donghyuk's name in this case.
"Donghyuk has been nothing but nice to me. I don't think he has bad intention." Lisa answered while looking at Jennie. Jennie didn't even respond but she just looked at the taller girl in front of her. Lisa's hands got shaken and she felt weird that Jennie made her body acted this strange, every single time. Lisa could never compete with Jennie in this staring competition, so she averted her eyes while fixing her glasses.
"Do you like him?" Jennie raised one of her brows and looked sharply at Lisa. Her tone was higher than her usual tone when she spoke to Lisa. Her breath felt heavier as well.
Lisa quickly looked up to meet Jennie's gaze and she shook her head, "N-no! I don't like him!" Lisa said half-yelled. Lisa felt she needed to address that to Jennie so she didn't misunderstand.
But why did she do that? Lisa didn't know either.
Jennie just nodded and seemed releasing a relief breath. "Anyway, don't keep your guard down. Don't get too clingy with him. You hear me?" Jennie had not averted her eyes even once from Lisa and kept looking at Lisa sharply. Lisa gulped and just nodded, afraid if she ever said any words, Jennie would snap and started yelling.
