"Sometimes I wonder who you are under that mask." I mumbled, closing the menu.

Cat Noir looked at me for a while, hiding his face behind the menu. "You know, I wouldn't mind revealing myself to you... I know it's against the rules, but I know you won't say anything! Plus, I already know who you are, and other holders know who others are!" Cat Noir slightly raised his voice, dragging the attention of the waitress.

I quickly put my hand over his mouth, giving him a look. I sighed, removing my hand from his mouth after a few seconds. "Ladybug wouldn't agree if you revealed your identity to me. It's against-"

"Ladybug isn't here! And since she's not here, it's not like she'll know!" He interrupted, giving me a look of desperation.

My eyes softened. I reached out to grab his hand. "Chat... why do you want to reveal your identity to me so bad?"

He put his hand in mine, caressing it gently.

"Y/N, I... You know me in my civilian form, but not the real me. I want you to see me for my true self, but I can't. And that's because I'm-"

"Are you two ready to order?" The waitress came up to us, holding a notepad in her hand.

Cat Noir kept his look of desperation on me, slowly hanging his head low. I looked at the waiter, putting on a fake smile.

"Yes, uh, some coffee and a slice of cheesecake, please." I ordered, handing her the menu. "Just a glass of milk for me." Cat Noir answered, never lifting his head up.

The waitress took our menus and quickly came back with our food. Once she left again, I grabbed his hand once more.

"Did you get milk because you actually like it, or is it a role play thing?" I jokingly asked, trying to get his spirit up. He let out a soft chuckle, raising his head. "A bit of both, I guess."

Cat Noir's attitude improved. He still looked a bit sad, but for the most part, he wasn't all depressed. "Here, have some cheesecake." I took a piece of the cheesecake from my plate, shoving it into his mouth.

His cheeks turned a rosy pink as he munched on the cake. As he ate, I put my hand on my chin, staring at him in awe.

He looked at the clock, his eyes widening. "Ah, I have to go, I have something important tomorrow!" He jumped out of his seat, chugging the rest of his milk.

"What is it? Have to work on a presentation for your history class?" I giggled, taking out some money to cover the bill. He shook his head. "No, I have a mod- A uh, p-personal matter!" He cheekily smiled.

I finished drinking my coffee, smiling to myself. "Dumb cat... Well, I have a job to do for Gabriel Agreste tomorrow with his son."

His face lit up. "So then rumors of you and him collaborating are true! How is his son? I bet he's not even twice as cool as me!" He crossed his arms, smugly smirking.

I chuckled, walking towards the exit of the cafe. "I mean, he's pretty nice! He's also a huge Pink Dark Boy fan, maybe even bigger than you!" I laughed. "What?!" Cat Noir pouted, following behind me.

We were en route to my house, enjoying the Paris lights. "But... he's really sweet and a total nerd. It's a shame his father restricts him a lot. Besides the point... I have to go to his house tomorrow and do the final drawing." I explained.

Cat Noir took out his staff, extending it up to my room. "Well, I hope you have fun!" After he said that, he grabbed my waist, propelling us up to my balcony.

I smiled at him, stepping down onto the floor. "Thank you for tonight, Chat, I'm sorry Epitaph didn't patrol with you."

He shook his head. "It's alright, I got to spend time with you."

I felt my cheeks melt. "Yeah... goodnight, Chat." I smiled at him. He waved, propelling his staff towards some buildings.

I walked into my room, closing the balcony door, and falling onto my bed. "He's so cute." I murmured, gripping my pillow.

7:21 AM

"Does my hair look okay? And are my pants creased enough?" I asked Tikki and Nezu, on the way to Adrien's house.

"Stop worrying! You look beautiful, Y/N! Besides, it's just you drawing a picture of Adrien, it's not an interview!" Tikki exclaimed. Nezu agreed, nodding. "You didn't have to wear business formal clothing..." Nezu added on.

I arrived at Adrien's home gate, about to press the button. "Well, there's no turning back after this, is there?" I sighed, looking at the 2. They both hid in my blazer. "Good luck!"

I hm'd, hesitantly pressing the call button. This time, nobody replied, the gates just opened on their own.

I walked towards the house, watching as the front door slightly opened. "Hello? Mr Agreste?" I called out, trying to see who was peaking at the door.

"Y/N! Good morning, sorry I was making sure my father was still getting ready!" Adrien popped out, smiling.

My eyes immediately glued onto his outfit. He had a dark green vest on with gold linings, followed by red bottoms dress shoes, and a diamond bracelet.

"Good morning..." I murmured, walking up to him. "Is this all real-"

"Come on, we have to hurry if you don't want my father to see us!" He grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards his room. Once we got there, he closed the door, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Are you okay? Won't your father get mad if he doesn't find us?" I asked, gripping my purse tighter. Adrien shook his head, walking over to his desk. "It's okay, it won't take a while, but I wanted to give you something!"

He took an envelope out of his desk, handing it over to me. I looked at him and then back at the envelope. It had my name written on it in cursive with a heart next to it, and a wax stamp sealing it.

I opened it, revealing a card. In it read, 'You are now formally invited as a +1 for Gabriel Agreste's premiere party this upcoming Friday night.'

"Holy shit... your father is having a party tonight?" Adrien nodded his head, a bit of blush appearing on his cheeks and ears. "Yes, and I was asking if you wanted to be my plus one! You don't have to, I know it's on short notice and you may not want to come, but-"

"Of course I'm coming!" I hugged him tightly. He hesitantly hugged me back. We hugged each other for a few seconds until we awkwardly parted.

"S-So uh, what time is it? And do I need to wear like something flashy or?"

Adrien just laughed, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry about anything. I'll come pick you up at 6. Just put on a random dress and I'll be satisfied. After we do some introductions and boring stuff, we can go up to my room and anything you want to do..."

"A-Anything?!" I mumbled, my body slightly heating up. He nodded his head, placing another hand on my shoulder. "Anything you want... like, for instance, we can read manga, watch anime, or even just sit up here and talk about random stuff!" He suggested, flashing one of his innocent smiles.

I felt my heart rate go down. "R-Right!" I awkwardly laughed.

"Okay, come on, let's finish this project, and then we can go into school for the last 2 hours or so." Adrien let go of me, walking towards the door.

After that happened, work brought itself upon us. For a while, Gabriel critiqued everything I did. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. But then again, he was paying a good chunk of money to do a portrait of his son. All I could do was suck it up.

For 4 long hours, Adrien had to stay in a certain position while I drew a realistic painting of him. The outcome was beautiful, to say the least. Though my hand was cramped and Adrien couldn't stand to stay in that position for another minute, Gabriel was satisfied with the final result.

He called the painting 'magnificent and breath-taking'. I couldn't really tell if he meant it or not since he didn't show any emotion... all he did after I finished was take the painting with him in the car and left back home in a hurry.

"Does he always do that?" I asked, walking up to Adrien with a water bottle in my hand. "Unfortunately yeah..." He responded, stretching. "My back is absolutely killing me! I can't pose for another second!" He groaned, standing up from the chair.

I stifled a laugh, going behind him, and rubbing his shoulders. "Well, we still have to go to school for 2 hours, and then get ready for the party tonight!"

He turned his head, smiling at me. "Spending time with somebody who has common interests with me is the only reason why I haven't dropped to the floor." He chuckled. I followed his laugh.

"Aw, are you saying we don't share anything, dear cousin?"

As I turned my head to see the new guy, I noticed he looked rather familiar. "Felix. What are you doing here?" Adrien averted his attention to this so-called Felix guy.

"You know, just stopping by early for the party later! I didn't know where you were until Uncle Gabriel told me that you were currently busy, though he left out the part where you were with the Y/N L/N!" Felix smirked, walking over to us.

Adrien sneered as he walked closer to us. They looked identical and Felix did say Gabriel was his uncle, which meant they were cousins. Why did they have bad blood between them then?

Felix took my hand, kissing it. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss L/N. My name is Felix Graham De Vanily."

sorry this chapter is a bit long, i didn't want to leave off a chapter on a boring note, so i kinda combined 2 chapters in 1
