'Aashi, Aashi, open the door.' Aashi woke up when Suchitra banged the door loudly. Aashi looked around. She sat up the bed and yawned, - 'In a minute.' She called. Last thing she remembers about last night was staring at Rishabh's photo and reading his CV, she has read it so many times that she has now memorized it. Aashi shook her head and climbed down the bed.

'Aashi, breakfast is ready. You promised scooty ride.' Suchitra said from the other side.

'Stop the drama, drama queen.' Aashi said opening the door. She tilted her head little to her side and smiled looking at Suchitra's now smiling face.

After Aashi quickly freshened up, they had breakfast - cornflakes and milk.

'Drive safe, please.' Aashi smirked sitting behind Suchitra

'I will.' Suchitra said confidently as she passed Aashi a helmet. Aashi quickly wore it and Suchitra ignited the engine.

The two girls had so much fun the whole afternoon. Suchitra was very smooth with the bike. She also taught some basics to Aashi, but when it came to driving Aashi almost tripped and almost dashed into a small cart.

'I think this isn't best for me.' Aashi exclaimed wiping the dust off her pants. Suchitra had a good laugh.

Then they decided to have lunch at a Pizza outlet in a mall, Aashi wasn't in favor of it but Suchitra insisted.

'Consider this as your cheat day.' Suchitra tried coaxing Aashi.

'Consider yourself lucky for never putting on weight even after stuffing yourself with so much junk food.' Aashi said enviously. Suchitra smirked. Aashi knew by now that Suchitra has the blessed genes of always eating but never getting fat.

They had a yummy large Margarita, again Suchitra's choice.

Though inwardly Aashi enjoyed the Pizza outwardly she complained about it being too oily and unhealthy. Watching her cute antics, Suchitra couldn't stop but smile.

After that, they shopped and watched a movie, action, Aashi's choice. She was so engrossed in the movie that she didn't even notice Suchitra had dozed off halfway through the movie.

'Come ya, which chick chooses action over rom-com or romance.' Suchitra reasoned after the movie.

Aashi smirked, - 'My type.'

Suchitra looked at her as though looking at a creature from an outer planet.

'Now, come on.' Aashi grabbed her hand and lead her towards for some coffee.

'Yaar, this day was fun.' Suchitra said as Aashi opened the door to their apartment.

'Best Sunday ever.' Aashi said entering the apartment.

'Yes.' Suchitra gushed and hugged Aashi from behind. A wide smile on their faces.

Fifteen minutes, after Aashi and Suchitra had freshened up and were relaxing on the couch, Aashi's phone beeped.

'Oh!' Aashi sat up straight on the couch. Suchitra also sat up straight on the couch.

'What happened?' She asked confused

'I forgot. Sachin Srivastav is coming in ten minutes.' Aashi said. It was then they realized the landlord was coming for the formalities.

'Thank God we came early.' Suchitra glanced at the wall clock, 6 pm. Aashi nodded. They had so much fun on their outing that the meeting completely slipped out of their mind.

The girls quickly cleaned the place, fixing and adjusting everything around the place. As Aashi arranged the cushions of the couch the doorbell rang.

'I will get it.' Suchitra said coming out from the kitchen and walked towards the door. It was more than five minutes since Suchitra got to the door and there was no response. Aashi frowned and walked towards the door.

'Who is it?' Aashi asked Suchitra but no response. She has the door open and is stared out like a statue. Aashi wondered how is on the other side. She stood beside Suchitra and saw a young man around their age standing on the other side, he stared at Suchitra unblinkingly too. Aashi doesn't recognize who he is, but the way her friend is looking at him and the way he is looking back it seemed like they know each other.

'Yes?' Aashi asked, the man snapped out from his trance and looked away from Suchitra, but she kept staring.

'Hello, Aditya Srivastav, Mr. Sachin's son.' He introduced himself extending his hand. Aashi nodded shaking hands with him.

'Dad couldn't come, he is ill.' He said. Aashi nodded again, she then nudged Suchitra and they stepped aside letting Aditya in. Aashi watched Suchitra suspiciously as she and Aditya shared a quick eye lock.

After Aditya had left and as Aashi and Suchitra ate dinner she watched her friend, she looked sad and lost. Aashi didn't pester her then. But looking at her sad face, Aashi suggested they sleep in one room.

Soon, they sat on Aashi's bed dressed in their PJs. Suchitra was very chirpy since she had come to Pune but tonight her silence is suspicious.

'I wish I had ice-creams.' Aashi said breaking the silence. Suchitra sighed not looking up and continued to stare at the pillow that is placed on her folded legs. Aashi's smile faded. She extended her hand and placed it over Suchitra's palm.

'Is there something you need to talk about?' She asked concerned. Suchitra sighed looking up, she looked at Aashi and shook her head.

'Are you sure?' Aashi raised her eyebrow.

Suchitra lowered her gaze, - 'Do you know Aditya?' Aashi asked and Suchitra looked at her. Slowly, she nodded her head. Aashi squeezed her palm giving her confidence to speak. At times, keeping things bottled up makes one feel very miserable.

'He is my Ex.' Suchitra confessed. Aashi is surprised, she never knew Suchitra focuses on things other than studies and work.

'We were classmates in MBA class together. I never knew I could ever fall in love but I did. Aditya made me feel so special and the best part, he didn't even try. Love is funny at times.' Suchitra said.

Aashi nodded, love, is seriously funny at times. The person who took her for granted, didn't trust her and, insulted her, is the same person she still loves.

'Things were going good, we were in a steady and happy relationship. But after our MBA, it was for me to choose him or my career and I didn't want to settle, I wanted to grow professionally and so, we parted. I chose my career over him.' Suchitra said. Seeing the tears in her eyes, Aashi knew that the decision would not have been easy for her and that she really loves Aditya.

'At times, life gives us tough choices and we have to make them, live with them.' Aashi shifted closer and hugged her friend. Suchitra hugged her back. Aashi caressed her back as she cried.

Suchitra cried herself to sleep. All the while, Aashi was with her, beside her holding her hand. Soon, she slept off too.
