《Over Chai And Coffee ✔》Epilogue:15

Here we are, finally! I have some mixed feelings about this, my dream project is finally going to be completed.

And I have no words to describe what I feel. I'm completely giddy.

Ahhhh, I don't know what to say ap just let's move forward.

We moved our gazes from each other to our parents who were looking at us like hawks waiting for its prey. And me looking at Rakshit's parents wide eyed, guess who they are?

Raj uncle and Shweta aunty. My parents' best friends, and I didn't know Rakshit was their son, like how oblivious could I be? But it wasn't my fault. Rakshit never came at our house and I was never interested in finding out who their son is. But let's just say the interest knocked itself in our fate.

Saying: hey bitches, I'm in.

Rakshit pushed himself closer to me and leaned near my ears In a way that no one noticed, "if I knew I would get an eye candy over here I would have been your next door neighbour long back." Finishing off with his smirk he sat properly making it difficult for me to hide my traitorous smile.

By now, the looks we were getting increased altogether at such an extend that I wanted to hide myself.

If right now I could go under a blanket and save myself from these looks that please someone get me a damn blanket now.

What I thought would happen when we would tell them that we are in love and want to get married and that too right after I came back from a very very adventurous place, which they think is my aunt's house by the way, is nothing according to my imagination. In fact, the first question which my parents asked Rakshit the freaking Oaf was, 'Son, are you sure that you are in your right mind? You love a psychopath you know that?'

See? My parents are so supportive and my future husband is olalala.

As his reply to this was, 'I know to deal with psychos uncle, I live with them.' And that had earned him a flying cushion, a sofa and some other colourful things from me and Raj uncle. I knew what he meant, that jerk had double meanings for everything.

And the fact that I stayed with him for months wasn't helping the statement either.

So now back to the present. We were currently being interrogated about our relationship.

"So, how did you both meet?" Dad sipped his tea while wiggling his eye brows questioningly and simultaneously thinking about the fact why I had gone out that day, after all he's a dad.

As fast as the question was out, my head whipped towards Rakshit who's eyes were fixed on me with the same smirk plastered on our faces.

My, my, my, now this was a very likable answer.

Shifting our gaze back to our parents and our minds lagging behind on the flashbacks we spoke together with a smile on our lips.

"Over Chai and Coffee." Our parents chuckled thinking that it was a normal date or something, but there was nothing normal in our lives and the backstory of our chai and coffee was something that isn't normal for a lot of people, at all.

Few moments later our parents were chatting excitedly about our wedding ignoring us and our banters which I swear wasn't started by me.

Okay, fine. It was started by me but that's because of him.

He said, chai is waste of time.

And I kicked him for that, no one speaks about chai like that and believe me when I say that I would marry chai instead of this Oaf if chai was a human.

Well...

Bless my delusions, who am I actually kidding?

Even if chai was a human it would be my second love because there's this certain Oaf who would kill the chai for taking it's place.

Our banters stopper as we were interrupted by Nilesh uncle, our house helper and our sweet uncle.

"Kids, there's someone came to meet you, I've told him to come in but he said that he's getting late and wants to meet you both outside, go attend him." I nodded, and dragged the Oaf behind me as we came out of my house.

My lips parted in a huge grin as I saw who it was and that made me run towards that person in full speed as I tackled him in a hug.

"DCP uncle!!!!!" I screamed as loudly as I could with excitement only to be sushed by two party poopers.

"Drish, don't scream. I am not deaf and neither is Rakshit."

"Who said about being deaf? He's dumb." I grinned happily but then got my leg stamped by that Oaf.

"You both are adults?" DCP uncle looked at us and shook his head in disappointment but couldn't hide the smile peaking from his lips.

"We are adults, DCP uncle."

"I doubt it. And wait, Drish stop calling me uncle. I'm not uncle."

"And why's that, DCP uncle?" I asked him innocently. He was the head of our agency and also one of the cupids in our love story, he is like my second father and he too treats me like his daughter, let's just say he and Rakshit were my preys to irritate in the bureau.

"Drish."

"Uncle."

"Drish."

"Uncle."

"Drish."

"Uncle."

"Adults, you say?" We turned our attention towards Rakshit who was sitting on the bench and looking at us amusingly while sipping his coffee that God knows where he got from.

Giving Rakshit a full blown grin, I and uncle looked at him, "shut up Rakshit." And said in sync.

Rakshit pouted at us and got back to drinking his coffee letting us know that we are rude, like a small whiny kid.

How can someone be so adorable???????????????

"Hmm, so I forgot that I was getting late and before I forget why I came here, let me finish that first. Congratulations both of you for completing mission, As weird as the name of this mission was as it was kept according to the saucer of the chai and cup of the coffee, it was as fun as it lasted and your bonding together was chef's kiss. And yaa, congratulations for your wedding and congratulations to me too. If it wasn't for being a DCP, I could really get a high post in a match making company. After all, I made y'all come together over chai and coffee. I know you both love me. " Winking at us uncle hugged us both before he sprang out of the place as fast as he could so he wouldn't have to answer our questions. While I and Rakshit stood behind looking at uncle's car go with our mouth dropped opened.

"Rakshit?"

"Yes, melon?"

"Hail uncle."

"Indeed."

Looking at each other and then at the road where uncle's car disappeared we cracked into fits of laughter.

Destiny really had a way with us.

Our story for people who didn't know us would be like: Never did they know that two different competitors like chai and coffee would have common things like sugar and milk bringing them their love next door.

But those who knew us really know that it was just,

With Rakshit's arms around me and mine around his torso we finally made in. Surrounded by our relatives who had arrived and our friends, our entwined hands told silent stories that only we could understand and so did our lips that were plastered together when no one was in sight.

If things could be better they would really be excellent,
