SHEHNAAZ POV

As I was walking, I felt someone was following me. I got into the elevator ignoring it.

My heart was beating faster as I was petrified. I was alone in the lift. I generally don't feel claustrophobic but, this constant feeling of someone following me scared the shit out of me. All thanks to crime/horror movies I have ever watched.

As I entered the office. All my fear went away just by looking at one person. You'll know who it is.

"Hey, movie tonight," said Sidharth as Shehnaaz was startled while she looked up from her laptop to see him gawking and smiling at her to accept his offer.

Unexpectedly, a colleague was passing by.

"Please submit your files by 6 p.m., "said Sidharth striving to change the topic.

Shehnaaz impersonated to be listening to him with a straight face just the way she would react formally.

"Need to work on acting skills," said Shehnaaz while giggling.

"I guess, better luck next time," said Sidharth while winking at her.

"I want to stay in," said Shehnaaz.

"Cool. Your place or mine " said Sidharth with a smirk.

"YJHD 9:00 p.m. at my place. Sounds way better that your place or mine. Right?" said Shehnaaz as she bit her inner cheeks to control her blush.

"See you at 9," said Sidharth as he moved towards his cabin.

"Bang on time," said Shehnaaz as she opened the door for Sidharth to come in.

"Always," said Sidharth as he entered inside with two pizza boxes in his hand.

They sat next to each other comfortably as the movie started. The first half of the movie was hilarious and they enjoyed while eating their pizza.

The second half of the movie was fun but, at the same time, it made them realise the reality in life.

As the movie commenced the part came when Bunny and Naina go to venture Udaipur.

They sit at the edge of a fort while staring deep at the sun setting.

"Life mein kitni bhi koshish karoge Kuch na Kuch to chut hi jaata hai. Toh better hai Jaha hai wahi ka Mazza le" said Naina to Bunny as she threw the long list of tourist place that bunny was yet to visit.

Suddenly, Shehnaaz spoke up.

"Do you believe it?" said Shehnaaz.

" What Naina said?" asked Sidharth.

Shehnaaz nodded as she waited to listen to his opinion about it.

"Yeah absolutely! I believe planning is good but, not at all times because when it fails it brings in disappointment," said Sidharth as Shehnaaz carefully listened.

"But you overthink alot," asked Shehnaaz curiously.

"Yes! At the same time I also believe it's better to live in the present since one never knows what the future has in store for them" said Sidharth.

"Hmm, I'll agree to that," said Shehnaaz.

These serious and funny discussions kept happening as the movie continued. The movie ended and Sidharth didn't realise when Shehnaaz fell asleep as she rested her head on his shoulder.

He smiled at the innocence on her face. He carefully took out her spectacles trying not to disturb her. He decided to stay back as he rested his head back on the pillow and a little resting on her head.

He felt at peace but, once again his mind forced him to overthink.

SIDHARTH POV :

Promises. Making them is always easy but, fulfilling them? That's where the nerves kick in. We all make promises but, not we live up to all of those.

It's not that I haven't made promises, I have made it to a lot of them to a lot of people but, sometimes we weren't the same people we were when we made it and many times we weren't just together for them to be fulfilled.

Yes, I have dated a lot of girls before Shehnaaz and broken off with them. Ended it on a good note with some while not on a very good note with others but, she was different.

By no means did I ever want to hurt her even if it was unintentionally. So I had made up my mind to be "Best Friends" and maintain the respectful limits until we start dating when we both are completely sure.

Rays of light fell on Shehnaaz's eyes breaking her off from sleep. She realized that night she slept off on Sidharth's shoulder. She carefully moved away from him, wishing not to disturb him.

About after an hour, Sidharth woke up only to realize it was 7:30 a.m. and he had to be at work by 9:00 a.m.

"Good Morning! would you eat toast and butter?" she smiled as she offered him breakfast.

" I'll hurry to go back home. Can't get late for work " said Sidharth as he almost ran towards the main door to wear his shoes and grab his car keys.

"Alright! See you at work " said Shehnaaz as she waved at him while smiling.

" Bye," said Sidharth as he pressed the button to call for the elevator.

Shehnaaz noticed there was a paper in her letterbox. She immediately opened it with the keys she had kept in the key holder near her main door.

"Save your job if you can " read the letter.

Shehnaaz was petrified. She didn't know why would someone write something like that to her. "This has to be Kaira," she thought to herself.

She immediately clicked the picture of the crumpled paper and sent it Sidharth.

Sidharth phone pinged as he received a message from her.

SHEHNAAZ: Found this in my letterbox today. Think it's Kaira.

SIDHARTH: Sending the driver to pick you from home. Can't afford to risk your life. We will discuss it in the office.
