As he plays and sings along

He looked as Shehnaaz as she looked at him too while listening to him sing. Everyone clapped as finished the song.

There was so much that this song spoke about his feelings for her. How much he adored her cute antics. How much he importance her presence had in his life. By getting Shehnaaz's assurance his insecurity of their age gap had gone far away.

Sidharth wanted to be with her all the time.

When he met her first he felt an instant connection with her. She was unique. There were a lot of things he felt about her that maybe he couldn't express in words. He wanted her to understand it all by just looking into his eye at that moment.

He wanted to throw away all the distance that was in between them. Just hug her and tell her how much he loves her and how much her presence mattered to him.

Shehnaaz too was mesmerized by his voice. She wished she could listen to it all day long. She hoped that someday she could be awake with him the entire night as the gazed at the stars and spoke their hearts out. Away from everyone. Away from all the worries and problems of the world. Just the two of them were enough for each other. She too like him felt a lot for him but, was scared to tell him as she too had been holding a lot of things back.

The claps disturbed the eye contact they both had while Sidharth sang the song. While Sidharth thanked everyone, Shehnaaz smiled.

They both had a lot of things unsaid and unspoken but, their heart still felt a lot.

Soon their one day trip to Rhea's farmhouse ended and they were all back home tired.

Sidharth lies down on his bean bag thinking about the amazing time spent with Shehnaaz.

They say, you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. But what do you do when you know the value of the moment.

The same moment that once made your eyes shine in happy tears. That moment now makes you want to erase that memory out from your head.

Each one of us has had those moments like ' I wish the time could stop' and it really bothers us when it ends. More than bothering it hurts. Especially when that one person who meant the world to you, the same person you loved with all your heart, cheats on you and you realise everything between you guys all this while was nothing but, fake. They were with you just because of their selfish needs and once when they got what they were searching for, They snatch it an all from you and disappear

Thinking about Manasi Singhania still brought goosebumps to Sidharth. His eyes would fill up with tears more than anger, he had regrets. Regrets for loving someone so selflessly. For trusting someone so blinding.

7 years Ago:

" I am really sorry Sidharth. I didn't mean to hurt you but, I had to do it " said Manasi.

"I thought you loved me," said Sidharth as he was deeply hurt.

"I know you want me to say some stereotypical shit and cry. Like omg! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. Will you forgive me, please. Ah, Bullshit! This was my choice to not be with you and be with Rohan " said Manasi.

As Rohan Kapadia came into the room.

"I took away everything from Sidharth. You love life has been ruined. The biggest deal that could have brought to your company to the Top 10 in India is now just in Top 50. But, my company has cracked the deal and I must say all thanks to Manasi, my wife " said Rohan.

"wife?" said Sidharth with a confused look.

"Yes, this was the plan we made to snatch the deal from you. I must say, you a tough man. I had to make a lot of efforts to take things out from you but, finally made it" said Manasi with an evil smirk.

"So in these two years everything was fake?" said Sidharth az he hoped for a little goodness in her.

"Well, yes I would like to believe so," said Rohan.

"What a well-played game Manasi," said Sidharth with a smirk while, hiding the feelings of his broken heart and walked away from there.

"Haha Sidharth Shukla I have one more plan that will take away all the remaining name you have in the market but, not now I'll use when the correct time arrives," said Manasi while giving a devilish smile to Rohan.

After this Sidharth was lost. He was 30 years old back then and now since the past 5 years, he hasn't trusted any girl. Neither has he allowed any girl to get this close to him know things about him.

Life had fallen apart for Sidharth as he truly loved Manasi but, one thing that kept him going was a little hope to find that girl that will take away all the darkness in his life. As it's correctly said, " The darkness can only be taken away by the light ".

As much as he recollected all the good times with Manasi. His mind made it want to erase it because he knew it was all false.

What do you do when you helplessly hold someone you love but, now that you know they have cheated on you as much as you heart wants to remember them, your brain holds you back.

With Shehnaaz there was a spark that he felt. Something that made him feel alive again. She made him laugh. She made him feel light and understood when he shared his problems with her. She never judged him for what he was and made him realize that sometimes it's okay to not be okay.

The entire night Sidharth was lost in his thoughts. He was scared of what if Shehnaaz, someone he loves too much and cares about a lot leaves him and goes away. Putting all the thoughts aside he decided to sleep as he to be at work tomorrow on time.

Next-Day at work:

It struck 9:00 am as Sidharth entered the office with a dark suit and white tie with a slight smile lingering on his lips as he greeted everyone wished him a good morning. Looking at his killer eyes and tough looks no one could make the pain that his behind such a huge personality. After his father's death, he had taken all the responsibility even though his sisters were there and there weren't any financial crisis as such, he didn't want his sisters to feel any burden.

He looked towards Shehnaaz's cubicle but, she wasn't there yet. 15 minutes later Sidharth was still preoccupied in his thoughts when Shehnaaz knocked at his cabin. Sidharth didn't hear it. Shehnaaz went in after trying twice more.

Sidharth was standing at the huge French window in his cabin facing his back to Shehnaaz. Failing to receive an answer, even after calling him out twice. She went toward him.

Sidharth suddenly felt cotton-like soft hands on his own. When he looked around he got scared as he was lost in his thoughts previously.

"Hey, it's me sorry to scare you though," said Shehnaaz softly as Sidharth turned towards her with a jerk.

She looked pretty. In her all-time favourite pastel colours. A baby pink coloured shirt tucked in white pants with a high ponytail and her statement pearl earrings.

" Hi. I'm really sorry, I was thinking about something. Leaving that aside you had any work?" said Sidharth as he came back to reality.

"Yes, I wanted to tell you that I have mailed the files to you. please check it and tell me if there are any errors, I'll work on it and send them to the clients " said Shehnaaz.

" Sure," said Sidharth as he smiled and looked at the innocence on her face. This innocent face couldn't ever hurt him ever but, this something that he even thought about Manasi.

His heart shouted Shehnaaz wasn't like the other girls he has dated. She was special but, still, his mind kept holding it back to her how much he loved her.

"Nice earrings," said Sidharth as she was leaving his cabin.

"Thanks. Mom gifted them," said Shehnaaz with a smiled while tried to hide her blush.

Sidharth made her stomach all the tingling. She wanted to be with him all the time. She could see through the pain in his eyes.

She knew inspite of him sharing everything to her. Something was there that he was holding him back. She felt like to give him a huge teddy hug and tell him everything is going to be fine no matter what she is always here for him.

As they both were busy at work. A few hours later Sidharth once again saw towards Shehnaaz's cubicle but, she wasn't there. Before, he could think something Ahaan barged into his cabin with his iPad showing Sidharth the news :

"Mr Sidharth Shukla the business tycoon once again in love. " the headlines read

"He cheated me once, again. This is the second time he has done this to me " said Manasi to the reporter.
