This year, we have merged various genres into 5 different award categories. You can submit your entry for Wattpad India Awards 2021 in any one of the following categories based on the genres included in that category:
: Romance, Young Adult, New Adult, Teen Fiction, or Chicklit
: Action, Adventure, Mystery/Thriller, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction
: Horror, Paranormal, Vampire, Werewolf

*The 3 SuperWinners will be picked only from all the entries received in the categories Matters of Heart, That Secret Quest, and Don't Scare Us. Also, please note that your story must have a minimum of 50,000 words to be eligible for the SuperWinners prize.
**LGBTQ+ and Fanfiction stories can be submitted in any of the above categories that the story best fits in.

- Take excerpts of the story to create and distribute promotional materials, both for the story and the Contest.
- Post no more than one chapter of the story anywhere on the contest website.
- Feature your story on Wattpad's platform (website and mobile) and across all of Wattpad's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Use your name and likeness for promotional purposes related to the contest.

The Casual
Notice: On hiatus. *profanity tag added just in case a bit of swearing is required, but I'll try to keep it as profanity-lite as possible* RealWorldIII came with the motto "Bringing the imagination back into the gaming" with an innovative skill combination system that promises to create unique (see: not-actually-unique) characters tailored to each player's preferences (see: we-swear-it's-not-random) Alex is a random guy with the motto "Well... whatever" with a history of being at the top of the gaming scene (see: he was a kid back then) that after twenty years of working for daily necessities finds himself facing a tough dilemma: do I go back to being a corporate slave, or do I gain money by playing a game no questions asked? (see: not really a dilemma) The only question is, can an actual "casual", even if ex-pro, survive constantly playing a game? or will he end banging his head on the wall? The story will unfold mainly in-game, with little if any real life events happening.

The world is broken. The apocalypse came and went, and only a fragment of humanity is left, scrambled into an unrecognizable mess. The remainders of the earth are filled with monsters from imagination and worse. Gates open periodically, leading to alien worlds, while dungeons form from damaged minds, creating nightmares for the unsuspecting. Some might see it as the end times. A hellscape. A story of humans pushed to their breaking points, desperately grasping for the last bits of humanity as the world crumbles around them. But a few might disagree. One man, in particular, sees opportunity. A chance. A path forward, to bring humanity from the depths of despair and turn it into a victory - a luxury. To remake the world even better than it was, dragging earth forward onto the galactic stage. It will require violence, lies, betrayals, magic, more violence, and the occasional genocide. But, hey. Everything worth doing is hard, right?
