Silver's POV
Groggily I awoke to a splitting headache and a blinding light. Sitting up I'm quickly jerked back down. As I opened my eyes I saw the tangle chains I was enthralled in while lying upon a cold, concrete floor.
"What the-" I was cut off when a door was slammed shut making an echo sound across the small, isolated room.
Looking up I see a lanky, muscular man storm into the area. Scared, I cowered against the wall beside me bringing my knees towards my chest as I hugged myself tightly.
"Who are you?" I stuttered out as the man watched me from glaring eyes.
"Nobody important." he replied, staring at me in confusion as if battling something within himself.
"Why am I here?" I demanded slowly becoming less scared as I watched him and the tension in the room rose.
"Boss had me get you." he stated simply before grabbing my arm and pulling me to stand. Silently he took a key from his pocket and unchained me before leading me to a door.
"Boss wants you in a more secure room." He explained as if he sensed the question forming in my head.
"Who is your 'Boss'?" I was scared to know I still asked the question. Is this the doings of the stalker? The creepy, insane man who kept threatening my life? Has he finally done what he promised?
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that. He wants to reveal his identity himself." The man stated simply leading down a dimly lit hallway.
Silently I studied the man's features. Looking at him now I don't see how I could have missed how young he looked. He couldn't be much older than fifteen. He has sandy blonde hair that was awfully greasy. And he looked as if he hadn't showered in a few weeks. Pale green eyes shone with what looked like fear and regret. I wonder what happened to this poor boy. Wait. Why am I feeling bad for some kid who kidnapped me? Or at least has a hand in part of it?

Maybe it's my motherly instinct. I think to myself as I watch him carry me into another room.
"If you need anything just knock on the door." He rushed as he sat me down on a moth ridden cot.
As he went to go out the door I gently grabbed his arm. "Hey, what's your name, honey?"
He looked surprised but quickly masked his emotions into a blank expression. "It's Rhys ma'am."
"Silver. My name is Silver not ma'am." I replied, smiling at him.
"I know." He said before leaving quickly, frowning all the while.
Ethan's POV
Sitting in my car with Aiddan I look up at the house in front of me. My mother's house. It has been a while since I had seen her. In fact the last time was around the time I met Silver.
Taking a deep breath I stepped out of the car and walked around the car to get Aiddan. He was fast asleep so I gently picked him up. Making my way to the front of the house the door opens before I can get there. As it is fully opened my mother walks out with a look of confusion drawn across her face.
"Security said you were here." She stated answering the unsaid question that I had been thinking.
"Okay." I replied slowly as I continued up the sidewalk.
Stopping in front of her I watch as her eyes zero in on Aiddan. "What have we here?" She demanded questioningly, looking from my child to me in curiosity.
"This is Aiddan. My son." I state calmly watching her eyes widen in surprise.
"You have a son?" She shrieked in shock, quickly throwing her hand over her mouth as she noticed the noise she had caused was about to wake him up. "Since when? Why haven't I heard about this until now?"

"Yes, I have a son." I start rolling my eyes at her over dramatics. "He is three years old. And I haven't told you because 1, I myself just found out a while ago and 2, because it honestly never crossed my mind."
I wasn't trying to sound rude but as her eyes teared up I could tell my last statement had struck her wrong. I mean what is she supposed to expect? She left father and me without giving us a reason. Just packed up and left one day. And when she does come back it's after father died? I'm sorry but you can't just leave your child for years on purpose and expect everything to be the same when you return.
"Well," She sniffed as she quickly wiped away her tears. "Why are you here now? Obviously it would be important if that is how you felt about me these years."
Did I think that aloud or something? Confused, I watch as she laughs sadly.
"I know what you're thinking honey. A mother always knows." She smiled looking down at Aiddan. "And before you ask how, it was your face. That look of confusion was all I needed. Anyways, why is it you are here?"
"I would like you to watch Aiddan for me. Just for a little bit." I asked as I watched her brighten up in an instant.
"Of course." She exclaimed as she walked into the house gesturing for me to follow. "If I might ask why though?"
"His mother was kidnapped." I stated simply trying not to let it affect me too much. I can't let my emotions get in the way of finding her. "I plan on helping Marco find her."
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry. That poor thing." She said sympathetically as she covered her mouth in a look of horror. "I'll watch Aiddan for as long as you need me to."
"Thank you," I pause hesitantly before adding, "Mom."
She smiled in pure happiness as she grabbed Aiddan and settled him against her neck in a loving embrace.
"I'll be back for him as soon as I get his mother back." I said before bending over her to kiss his forehead in goodbye. "I'll be back. And I won't give up until I get her back for you. For both of us."
With that I left the house and drove my way to Marco's house.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to kidnap MY Silver is about to have a rude awakening. A very rude awakening.

Some people are lucky, some aren't, some - have terrible luck. Our "hero" is of the latter kind. During young age he got into an accident, which allowed him to learn the fact that he belongs to a rare group of people.. People diagnosed with lung cancer, which he, however survived. Can't say he's lucky, as his life went downhill from that point... Our story happens years later, when his fate decides to make a loop and throw him in the same kind of accident. He gets hit by a truck. Surviving the crash, suffering just a few scratches, he is ultimately "lucky" to find himself out of the hospital in no time.. however every bit of good luck always brings him terrible luck afterwards. This time pushing him maybe a bit too far.. How far? Making him vanish without a trace and find himself in the middle of an unknown forrest. Doesn't sound bad? He can consider himself lucky? Just wait and see...It can always get worse.. always.. .... Congratulations, you've made it through the intro and into the author note! If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.
