Ethan's POV

I heard Silver's phone drop to the ground with a clatter. Before the call ended I heard heavy footsteps. Uselessly I called out her name hoping, praying that she just accidently dropped the phone.

As I heard the dead tone signaling the phone call was ended I dropped to the ground. I felt as if someone had ripped my heart from my chest. Picking up my phone from where it laid in my lap I dial Marco's number.

"Hello?" I hear his sleep ridden voice question through the phone in a low whisper.

"I need you to track my car. Find where it is and see if Silver is safe." I rush out my orders as I hurry up and find Aiddan, who is resting against the couch watching a cartoon.

"Why? What's going on?" His voice sharpened and he became more alert to my words.

"Someone called her and said Ashton was in a car accident last night and was in the hospital. In critical conditions." I say picking up Aiddan and walking to his room. Setting him on the bed I look around for some clothes that would be suitable for him to wear. "She took my car to go to the St. Jose hospital but when she arrived she said there was nobody there. So I looked the place up and we found out that it was abandoned."

Grabbing a pair of sweatpants and a random shirt I quickly dressed Aiddan who seemed confused. "I told her to get into the car and come back home but it was too late."

"What do you mean it was too late?" I heard a new voice scream in distress.

"Ashton?" I asked, surprised frowning as I heard Marco laugh nervously. "Never mind, I don't care what you guys are doing right now. All I care about is Silver. I think the stalker kidnapped her."

"Why do you think this?"

"Because about five minutes ago she was talking to me on the phone. That call ended and I doubt she was the one who did that. Plus I am pretty sure I heard the phone drop and a pair of heavy boots against the concrete."

"Give me a few minutes and your car will be tracked." Marco said before hanging up.

Sighing I grab Aiddan's hand as I walked towards my garage.

"Daddy, what happened to Mommy?" He asked as tears slid down my face.

Fuck! I forgot that he could understand most of what I said on the phone. He might be three but he was more mature than kids ten times his age were. But I wouldn't doubt it. Silver raised him wonderfully. And I'd be damned if I let some creep take the mother of my son away from him.

"Mommy is just on a little vacation." I whisper brokenly as I lied to my son. I felt a wave of guilt consume me but I couldn't make Aiddan worry. Not in his condition.

"Oh." he breathed out, wiping away the tears. Cheerfully he smiled and asked, "Where are we going?"

"Well," I pause before scratching my head. "We are going to go see your grandma."

"No!" Aiddan cried out loudly, sounding upset. "Grandmas mean."

What? Was Silver's mother mean Aiddan?

"No. You're going to see another grandma." I explained. I was going to regret this. I just know it. "My mom."
