《Raising Rio》22| loving isn't easy

Everything was all intertwining into one, it was making sense now to Rio. She never knew the proper meaning behind why her parents and brothers sent her away to another country. However, she had a strong feeling it was to do with those mother fuckers stood in front of her.
"What the fuck do you want?" Rio's voice dropped with venom. "Can't you see that I am in the middle of something right now?"
After her mini tantrum, the young girl clutched her side again in sheer agony-she knew she had to get medical attention quickly, or she would pay for the consequences later.
"Ah, ah, ah watch your language young lady, it's not how you speak to your fiancé to be is it?" Cassius taunted Rio.
At this realisation Riri's eyes widened in horror and her mouth fell agape at what she just heard. Cassius was planning on marrying her, did her father know about this?
"Excuse you, what did you just say?" The girl shuffled forwards, calculating their every single move-she could tell when someone was bluffing, Cassius showed no bluff unfortunately.
"I think you heard me correctly Miss Esposito, you and I are to eventually wed." Cassius matched Rio's movements and moved towards her, closing the gap between the pair with his arms behind his back.
"Over my dead fucking body!" The teenage girl spat in his face, she then proceeded to gather all the saliva she could in her mouth and spit it in his face; showing her distaste for him and his stupid plan.
Cassius didn't even flinch at the action, he just simply wiped away the saliva from his face with his fingers and chuckled lowly. "Oh you are going to really regret doing that wife."
"I'll never be your wife Cassius, I would rather die than ever agree to putting your ring on my finger." Rio stumbled back from him as the pain was engulfing her entire body.

"Well I guess you wouldn't even want to hear of the proposition I was about to make." He smirked evilly, he had thought everything out.
He knew she would want to hear of what he had to say, she was falling right into his trap and she didn't even know it.
"What proposition?"
"Ah now you are intrigued." He smiled devilishly at the defenceless girl. "Well little Esposito, you see I need to tell a little story first before we even come to agreeing on a deal.
It all started when little baby Rio was born into the cruel word that the family had to offer. Obviously when you was born the whole family was besotted with you, I mean I couldn't blame them as you was a cute lil' thing."
"You're sick in the head Cassius." Rio spat, she couldn't help the anger building at what she was hearing-he was clearly mocking the girl and her family."
"What? I am being honest no? Anyways where was I?" Cassius snapped his fingers trying to think.
"Ah yes, I can't deny I admired the power of beauty you had, it was almost as if everyone was under a little spell of yours. However you having everyone wrapped around your fingers proved to be beneficial for myself, if I somehow played an important character in your life I could have easily gotten what I've always wanted other than you bu-"
Before Cassius could even continue what he was going to say a very familiar voice interrupted the pair.
"I dare you to finish that sentence you sick fuck, I fucking dare you." The voice hissed with such anger and venom it was unfathomable.
Rio's eyes lit up at the sound of the voice she was longing to hear the most, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her bruised head turned to meet the eyes she could never get bored of.
Carson.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds
