《Raising Rio》17| aidensfield actually

Rio was stood outside the door that was keeping her and her family apart. Her small legs were shaking with nerves, she had never felt so shaken and sick in her life.
Luckily, she had Carson by her side and him being the amazing boyfriend he is could sense her nerves from a mile away. With that he took her clammy hands into his own and squeezed them with reassurance.
"We can always turn back and go home, you don't have to do this baby." Carson suggested to which Rio shook her head frantically.
"Fuck no, we've come all this way-I'm not being a pussy today."
Carson chuckled loudly, his girl never failed to surprise him with the different things that came out her mouth.
She was his form of entertainment. Fuck the cartoons and comedies you see on Netflix when you have your own walking-talking rom com.
"If you say so." He moved to grip the back of her shoulders and massaged them gently. "Well, I'm ready when you are Señorita."
"I'm Italian not Spanish you babbuino!" Rio snorted. Carson knew that he just liked to wind her up.
"You're calling me a baboon! I should be insulted, but at least I know you love my ass." Carson winked at his girlfriend to which Riri just rolled her eyes.
"In your dreams James."
"You dream about my ass? Now that's a new one."

After another twenty minutes of teasing each other, Rio knew she should stop stalling the inevitable. She was going to see them eventually and her stalling was just pushing it further.
When in reality she could have been in and out of there by now.
"I'm ready." She spoke softly to Carson, who in return took hold of her hand and looked her firmly in her eyes.

He didn't want her to feel under pressure, they could take all the time in the world if she wasn't ready. But with a solid nod of her head, Carson pounded his fist against the door.
He didn't give a fuck, they hurt his baby so he's going to hurt their eardrums.
A couple of moments later the handle turned and revealed a bodyguard of the sort-upon his eyes meeting the young teenagers, they immediately widened in recognition.
Rio on the other hand hadn't a clue on who this person is or was to her when she was younger.
"Rio Francie Esposito if I am correct?" The bodyguard spoke in his nonchalant, gruffly voice as he folded his arms in front of him.
"Aidensfield actually." Rio shot back in almost an instant. There was no way in hell that Riri would use that name ever again.
"Ah Miss Aidensfield is it?" The bodyguard's eyes darkened. "Your birth certificate says different."
"Just let her through already, you know who she is otherwise you wouldn't have spoken to her for this long." Carson defended his girlfriend.
He wasn't going to let a sleazy bodyguard talk to his girl like that. Heck, even he wouldn't talk to her like that so why does it give him the right to do so.
"Come this way, your father has been expecting you." The bodyguard rolled his eyes, to which Carson immediately stepped forward at the blatant disrespect shown to himself and Rio.
Before he could get any further, Rio separated Carson and the guard by pushing him back gently with her hand. "He's not worth it."
With that the young couple walked into the room, and Rio wasn't surprised that it looked more like a grand hotel suite than it did a clinic.

'He could be donating money to charities that need it, not all this fancy dancey shit.' She thought to herself as she took in the intricate, gold detailing upon the walls and ceilings.
"Come this way please." The guard said almost impatiently, as the young pair took in their surroundings.
"Give us a fucking second will you?" Carson snapped at him, making the guard take a step back in surprise.
Carson didn't like being rushed, never mind by a rude guard who probably didn't do his job correctly. "Baby you need to calm down." Rio soothed, brushing her hand on his shoulder.
After Carson had calmed himself down through the reassuring words of Riri, they both followed the rude guard until they reached yet another door.
"Jesus Christ, how many doors do we actually have to go through." Rio opened her mouth to say more until the door in front of them opened to reveal the man himself, her father.
"Princess?" The man who she once loved and relied on, spoke softly with his strong Italian accent. He had definitely changed within the years being apart from his daughter.
More wrinkles and harsh lines adorned his perfectly sculpted face, and what was once deep, chocolate brown hair instead was replaced with light, grey hairs.
"Franco."
Author's Note:
Hi guys,
So, I am going to try and write two books at the same time. That being Raising Rio and Devilish-I don't know how many times a week I will update as I am super busy with university work, but it will be as much as I can.
I am sorry for the short chapter, but I'd rather get short chapters out quicker than longer ones that take ages to write or would you rather prefer the second option?
Anyways, I hoped you enjoyed this chapter.
Lots of love,
Mia. X

The Demon King Absolutely Has No Attachments
Welcome to Akoras Online, where the power lies in your hands. This sandbox virtual reality MMO has gained a dedicated community, but it has a catch: those who die in battle have their stats reset. Spending all his time on the server to escape his shut-in life, Kas is the only long-time player with a death counter of 0. However, his social skills are also a big 0, so he's condemned as the cold-hearted “Demon King”. Now, the number of players who actually like him is also 0. (Which is fine. He enjoys the peace and quiet.) However, Kas' dreams of being left alone are banished over and over by challengers with various grievances against him. Among them is Gabriel, the celebrity "Hero" of Akoras, who has just as much time on his hands as Kas. Seriously, Gabriel tries to fight him a lot. It’s getting kind of tiring… Wait, this guy isn’t even in high school yet! The (not-so) idyllic trials of a Demon King and a Hero, with a raging faction war in the background. Now updates on Tuesdays, with the odd chapter in between.

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
