Juno sat a the library table reading up on lore as Sam and Dean were packing for a hunt. She felt a small sense of deja vu, furrowing her eyebrows as she looked over at them. Before she could talk, her phone buzzed with a text from Cas. She picked it up, furrowing her eyebrows.
Meet me in Navy Park in Clearwater.
"Who's that?" Dean asked.
"It's Cas, asking me to meet up with him," Juno said beginning to stand up.
"Alright, we'll call you if we get anything with our lead," Sam told her.
"Yeah, gotcha," Juno said with a nod. She grabbed her jacket, walking up and out of the bunker. She drove towards Clearwater, getting out of her car once she reached the park. She was confused as to why it was empty on a Saturday afternoon in Spring. But, she saw Cas sitting on a bench facing the water. "Cas?" He looked back, smiling at her.
"Ah, you're here," he said standing up and walking to her. Juno hesitantly walked forward as she looked around. "I was in another park, but... There was a problem there."
"Problem?" Juno asked raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, don't worry. Nothing I can't handle," Cas said waving it off. He grabbed her hands, Juno furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. "Come sit." Juno looked around warily as Cas was pulling her towards the bench.
"What's going on?" she asked as she sat on the bench next to Cas.
"I wanted to show you God's creation before it maybe gets taken away from us. Show you how beautiful it is," Cas said with a light smile.
"Yes, I have seen God's great green Earth, but it's not like he's really watching anymore. Won't even save us from his damn sister," Juno grumbled as she leaned back in the bench.
"Juno, what's a song you like?" Cas asked looking over at her.
"Come again?" she asked. Cas nodded to reassure her, Juno furrowing her eyebrows. "I don't know. Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles?" Cas snapped his fingers, the song playing out of no where. Juno furrowed her eyebrows, not knowing that Cas could do that. It almost seemed familiar. He stood, beginning to sway with the music. He then turned, extending a hand to Juno. She laughed slightly, but Cas pulled her up anyways. She rolled her eyes, placing a hand on his shoulder as he slipped one around her waist.
Juno furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as they swayed to the song. She was confused overall with what was happening. She hadn't expected Cas to be so forward in his actions. He pulled her into him, letting Juno rest her head against his chest. She was trying to determine whether this was real. The Darkness was out there ready to destroy the world and all Cas wanted to do was slow dance?
"I-I know what you're thinking. This is a lot, but I really do love this, Juno," Cas said. She looked up at him, furrowing her eyebrows. She looked down, letting her hand fall from Cas's shoulder.
"Look, Castiel, this is real sweet but we need to focus," she said pushing his hand off of her. "Amara's out there, she's pissed, and she's got it out for us. For the world. If you want to sit on your ass slow dancing with someone, find someone who's clueless to the end of the world. But I'm gonna go back to the bunker and at least research a good way to stop Amara since Lucifer proved futile."

"Lucifer could've helped us," Cas said immediately.
"Hasn't he, oh yeah, murdered you?" Juno asked turning back to him. "It's like you became a whole new person since I last saw you. I don't what's going on Cas, but I'd shape up if I were you." Juno turned, walking back to her car. She drove off, Cas watching with a small frown. Not Cas, though. Lucifer inside Cas's body.
"I can help," Lucifer grumbled. He crossed his arms, realizing what he had to do. "But I have to actually help. Ugh." He groaned, beginning to sit back down on the bench.
*****
Juno flipped through some book pages, yawning as she felt her eyelids getting heavier by the second. She checked her watch, noticing that it was already two in the morning. She sighed, closing the book in front of her. She stood, walking towards her room. She opened the door to see a figure standing on the other side of her bed. She immediately rose the gun from her waist band, Cas turning and holding his arms up in surrender.
"What the hell are you doing?" Juno asked lowering the gun.
"I came to apologize. You were... right. We should be focusing on catching the Darkness," Castiel said with a nod. Juno nodded slowly as she put the safety on her gun and slid it under her pillow.
"Okay, is that it?" she asked as she pulled off her jacket.
"Yes," Cas nodded.
"Okay, cool," Juno said as she motioned for Cas to leave her room. "It's two in the morning. You may not need sleep, but I do, so..." Cas walked out of the room, turning back to face Juno.
"Juno," Cas said, the girl looking over, "I really am sorry."
"I know you are, Castiel," she said with a small nod. "Goodnight."
"Night," he nodded as she shut the door. He then turned, making his way down the hall. Juno waited until his footsteps were or sure gone, then she slipped into bed, falling asleep quickly. Lucifer stood down the hall now, a small smile creeping across his face. He turned, walking towards the file room.
*****
Dean walked into the bunker, walking down the steps to go find a gold blade. He and Sam were hunting a banshee and that was the only way to kill it. A sudden crash rang out, Dean immediately grabbing his gun from his waistband. He began creeping towards the noise, another crash ringing out. He rounded the corner to see Cas digging through a bunch of papers.
"Hey!" Cas turned, Dean letting out a sigh as he rolled his eyes. "Cas? What the hell are you doing man?"
"Hello, Dean," Cas said hesitantly.
"Right, yeah," Dean said lowering his gun. "We don't hear from you for days, you show up, you start wrecking the joint."
"I'm sorry," Cas said with a sigh.
"Okay. W-what are you doing?" Dean asked as Cas had papers in his hand.
"Well, I'm... Looking for a spell, something to draw Amara out, but there's... There's nothing," Cas said holding the papers up.
"Yeah, hey, where's Juno? She said she was meeting up with you yesterday," Dean stated as he picked up one of the pieces of paper.
"She came back here after... It's not important. She did some research until around two in the morning then fell asleep," Castiel told him with a sigh.

"No, no what happened?" Dean asked stepping forward.
"I texted her to meet me, and, well..." Cas trailed off, Dean raising an eyebrow for him to continue. "I tried courting her." Dean had a shocked look on his face as he stepped back.
"Wow, Cas. Uh, in the midst of the end of the world?" Dean asked.
"That's what I said," Juno said walking into the room. Dean looked back, raising an eyebrow at her. "So, what are you doing back? I thought you and Sam were on a hunt."
"Uh, looking for something. Gold blade," Dean told her.
"Gold blade? What do you need that for?" Juno asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Uh, Banshee. Preys on the vulnerable," Dean informed her. Juno took her gaze to Cas who looked away uncomfortably. Dean looked between them, noticing their looks. "What?" Juno looked down, not wanting to tell Dean yet of her new found power.
"Juno, we have to tell him," Cas said. Dean took his gaze to Juno who ran her fingers through her hair.
"Tell me what?" Dean asked putting his hands on his hips. Juno swore under her breath, hitting the file cabinet in front of her.
"You know what, let's look for the blade. I'll tell you on the way back to the hunt," Juno said beginning to walk towards the door. Dean watched as she walked out, then turned back to Cas.
"So, the Darkness," Cas continued. Dean sighed, realizing he wouldn't get anything out of the two of them. So he listened to Cas once more.
*****
Juno sat at the table as Cas and Dean were still talking about the Darkness. She'd heard of all of Dean's encounters with her now, and was quite disturbed along with partially angry. He had two shots and he didn't take them. Instead he made out with her.
"I tried to kill her," Dean said putting a box on the table.
"Well, the two of you are connected somehow by the Mark," Cas said as he picked up a few papers.
"Yeah, no, it's, uh... It's more than that," Dean said opening the box. Juno sat up, taking her gaze to Dean.
"Attraction?" she asked. Cas turned then as Dean remained quiet.
"Oh, Dean," he said tilting his head at Dean.
"I know. I know. Okay? Whatever it is..." Dean started as he pulled the gold blade from the cloth. "A... Attraction, connection... I got to tell you, man, it scares me. I don't know that I can stop it. I don't know that I can resist it." Cas placed a hand on Dean's shoulder, Juno and Dean looking at him weirdly.
"Hey, it scares me, too. But we will find out what this is, I promise," Cas reassured him. Dean nodded as he looked down at the blade. "In the end, it may help draw her out. This could be a good thing." Dean nodded slowly, his phone beginning to ring. He answered as Cas removed his hand from Dean's shoulder.
"Sam?" he questioned. Sam went on, Juno furrowing her eyebrows. "Wait. What? In the Men of Letters' files?" He turned, walking out to the library as he pulled out a book. He opened it to a page, scanning over one of the men. "Oh, son of a bitch. She ain't lying. According to the Men of Letters' records, Edward Durbin II was inducted in 1939, part of a small delegation that was sent to Europe... Right... So, he was vulnerable." Juno's face went pale at the word vulnerable. When she screamed for Marcus, he was vulnerable. Along with Richard and the hell hounds. She looked over at Castiel who was staring at her with a sympathetic look. "Awesome. Alright, what's the plan?" Dean asked Sam. "Right, I don't like using Mildred as bait... Well, I always did have a thing for Blanche on 'Golden Girls'... Hey, don't judge what you don't understand, Sammy... Yeah, I could see that... I'm on my way." He hung up the phone, turning to Castiel and Juno. "Cas, I got to get back to Sam." Dean stood, grabbing the gold blade to go. "Listen, about what we talked about, let's just keep that between you and me... And Juno. Till we know more, okay?"
"Dean, that's not --"
"Cas, just...trust me," Dean told him.
"Alright," Cas sighed. "But the next time you face Amara, you won't be alone."
"Thanks, Cas," Dean said with a small smile. "J, let's go."
"J? Wow, I've earned a nick name," Juno said grabbing her jacket as she followed Dean up the stairs.
"You have earned it. Hunting and getting Sammy out the cage. Nice job, kiddo," Dean said glancing back at her. Juno smiled to herself, following Dean out. Neither of them noticing the wicked smile on Lucifer's face.
*****
Juno followed Dean inside the retirement home as everything was turned off. He lead her upstairs, both of them walking into the room Sam and another hunter, Eileen, were in.
"Hey," Dean nodded.
"Eileen, this is my brother, Dean Winchester," Sam said motioning to Dean. "And our friend, Juno Bradbury. Dean, Juno, this is Eileen Leahy.
"Eileen, it's good to meet you," Dean said as Eileen shook his hand. "So you're a... a legacy, too."
"I guess so, yeah," Eileen shrugged.
"Uh, right, well. Let's see here," Dean said as he looked through his bag. He pulled out the gold blade, handing it to Sam. "There's one for you. And I'm guessing you already have one. Uh, guess we got an extra one for Mildred. Where's Mildred?" The door to the room opened, a woman walking in.
"Agent!" Mildred cooed upon noticing Dean. "Oh! I'm glad you're back." She gripped Dean's arm, Juno smiling lightly as she pulled the gold blade out of her bag. "I feel safer already. Um...Come here. I want to show you something." Sam rose his eyebrows at Dean as she was dragging him away. Juno turned to Sam, sitting next to Eileen on the couch.
"What'd Cas have to say when you met up with him?" Sam asked. Juno laughed slightly as she twirled the blade in her hand.
"Uh, nothing. Just... Wanting to look for Amara," Juno lied to him.
"So he didn't try anything on you?" Sam asked raising an eyebrow. Juno took her gaze to Sam who had a smile on his face. "Dean told me over the phone when you fell asleep on the way over here."
"Of course he did," Juno said rolling her eyes.
"Look, Juno, don't let our mistake get in the way of what you want. If you want to be with Cas, we're fine with that. But he's never actually... Liked someone like this," Sam said with a light smile.
"There's a lot going on Sam, and I wish I could tell you," Juno said as she looked at her hands again. She suddenly heard a high pitched scream, her head popping up.
"C-Can you guys hear that?" Juno asked raising an eyebrow. Sam and Eileen both shook their heads slowly.
"Do you hear that?" Dean asked looking at Mildred.
"I don't hear anything. Do you?" Mildred asked him. Juno stood, turning to Dean as he stepped forward carefully.
"Sam?" Dean questioned. He and Juno turned as Dean hit the ground, grabbing his head in pain.
"Dean?!" Sam exclaimed as he ran to Dean.
"Sam, it's what happened to Arthur!" Mildred told him. The screaming intensified, Juno seemingly unaffected by it.
"Hey, hey, Dean!" Sam said trying to get Dean to look at him. "Dean, look at me!" The banshee appeared behind them, everyone turning to look at it.
"Sam, it's here!" Dean exclaimed. It disappeared again as Sam pulled Dean up from the ground. It appeared behind Eileen as she turned to stab it. The banshee flung her back, Eileen flying into a bookcase.
"Eileen!" Mildred yelled. Sam stepped away from Dean, going to stab the banshee. He nicked it, only making it more angry. It flung Sam into the door, leaving Juno as the last line of defense. She turned to Dean, grabbing him and pulling him away from banging his head against the wall. She then grabbed one of the gold blades, cutting her hand. She winced in pain, slamming it against the symbol on the wall. The banshee flew back into it, Juno crashing into the one that she had put her hand on. Eileen grabbed her own gold blade, ran forward, and stabbed the banshee. It turned to dust, the screaming stopping all of a sudden. Juno fell to the ground, grabbing her hand in pain.
"Are you okay?" Mildred asked grabbing Dean. Sam ran in, then looked at Eileen. He signed thank you, Eileen nodding at him. Juno took a deep breath, looking at her hand. The veins around the cut were grey, indicating that she was slowly getting taken by the affects to the gold on the blade.
*****
Juno looked at her hand again, closing her palm as she walked out of the retirement home. She walked up to Sam and Dean who were talking with Mildred and Eileen.
"You boys stay out of trouble," Mildred told them.
"That's not gonna happen, Mildred," Dean chuckled. She laughed at him, patting his arm. The three nodded at the two women, then walked to the car. Dean drove off, Juno looking out the window. "Hey, J, you and Cas earlier... What was that look you exchanged when I mentioned we were hunting a banshee?" Juno sat up, shaking her head.
"It was nothing. Doesn't matter," Juno said with a sigh. Dean didn't believe her, but he didn't push. Once they got home, Juno went to her room and took off her jacket. She stared at her arm in the mirror, a frown taking root on her face. She sighed, grabbing her phone and dialing Cas. It went straight to voicemail, Juno swearing under her breath. "Hey, Cas. I need you to call me immediately. Something... Something's wrong." She looked at the cut in her hand and her arm. Her veins were now all grey, and it seemed to be spreading to her heart.

Iferes: Slaves Of The Gods
Iferes are creatures that roam the world. They are everywhere, and anywhere. From the deepest seas, to the highest mountains. From the heart of volcanos, to the never melting glaciers. Some are weak, some are strong. Some are calm, some are bloodthirsty. What they all have in common, is that they fight for survival. For hundreds of thousands of eras, humans and Iferes lived in a world of war and blood. Ifere against Ifere, Ifere against humans, and humans against humans. But one day, in a very distant past, the twelve Mystic Iferes, and the twelve greatest kings of humanity, joined hands to end that cruel era. Together, they created a contract. A contract that, once made, would bound the two parties, and could only be broken in death. Millions of years went by, and that period of war faded in legends. And a child was born, a child that would change everything. For bad or worse, only time would say. ----------------------------- Hello, everyone! Just a few warnings before you read the novel, so you won't be disappointed. First of all, as you can probably tell, I took more than a few ideas from pokemon and the like. It's almost impossible to write a novel where creatures (Iferes) have a major part in, and not relate it to pokemon. However, as you will see as the novel goes on, I tried (and I think I succeeded) in making a universe of my own. I am sure you will like it. Secondly, compared to pokemon, my novel is a lot darker, as you probably noticed by the synopsis. I also try to give a wild west vibe to it, if you know what I mean. Thirdly, you should check out my fanfic Broke: A Clone Wars Tale. Biased as I am towards it, I think it's a great story, and so do many of my readers. It will also give you a glance at what writing style to expect. Fourth and last, I feel like it's only fair that I tell you I am a student. As much as I love writing, my main priority will always be my studies. After all, writing is just a hobby for me, at least for now (fingers crossed). As such, there probably will be interruptions in the release schedule here and there, but, if you followed me on my other novel, you will know I rarely missed an upload, and, when I did, I always made up for it. So, with all that said, I hope you can give the novel a try, and leave a review. If you are a new reader, I hope we can have a lot of fun along the way. If you read Broke, then we already made a journey together, and I hope you will follow me on a new one. Also, you should check out my patreon, there you can get chapters in advance (although they will all be published normally after a while), and a few other benefits. I appreciate every bit of support you can give me! patreon.com/reis123 PS: there will be romance, but no harem or reincarnation. The MC is just someone who was born and raised on this world.
