At their arrival, Jack clutched Kaiden's fur tightly between his fingers, even if his mate nudged him off his back, huffing slightly and pressing himself against his shy mate. Jack's eyes widened as he stared, a smile slipping on his lips.

Kaiden huffed in amusement, following Jack's eyes to the several pups that fumbled close to their parents or the wolves carrying the little ones around. Jack's eyes sparkled, smiling down at Kaiden as the wolf tenderly nuzzled against his stomach.

He knew what his mate meant, so he grinned down at him while rubbing his head. Seeing the pups for the very first time sent a little thrill through his chest, pushing his doubts to the back of his mind.

The pups yipped and tumbled over each other, trying to outrace each other before they noticed the visitors. Instead of being cautious, the pups glanced once at their parents and when they didn't protest, they charged at the group of four.

Jack stumbled back before landing on his behind, grinning as he instantly was jumped by happy pups. Several were jumping up towards Kaiden and Rowan's face, trying to appease the bigger wolves by licking their muzzle. They were noticeably cautious with Chris, gently sniffing at the highly pregnant male's clothes before wagging their tiny tails.

"Alright guys, enough." Kaiden said after shifting and redressing himself. The wolf inside him was acting like a pup, purely because it was in the presence of newborns and pups no older than several moons.

He chuckled as the pups finally backed away from Jack, a few tugging at his pale hair in curiosity. His mate laughed, prying his hair loose from their little teeth before he grabbed the closest pup and lifted it till their faces were at the same height.

"You guys are so cute." He cooed; gaining a happy lick that caused another bout of laughter. Kaiden felt a nudge against his ribs and smiled warmly as Rowan had nudged him while they both stared at the happy Jack.

"He'd be good with kids."

Kaiden nodded as he watched his mate, who was oblivious of the world around them as he played with the little bundle of fluff in his hands. It made Kaiden long for pups of their own, to play with their young and watch Jack lecture their pups when they misbehaved.

A gentle touch on his face made Kaiden blink, snapping out of his thoughts before he realized that Rowan and Chris had already wandered further into the village, leaving them to enjoy a quiet moment. Jack's hand was still resting on his cheek, so Kaiden slightly turned his head to place a tender kiss on the soft flesh.

Instantly a blush spread over Jack's cheeks but he managed to keep his eyes on the wolf, smiling shyly as he detected the curious yet longing look in those golden depths. He recognized that longing look and somewhere, Jack knew it had to do with the pups.

Before he could say something though, Kaiden has placed a tender finger on his lips before kissing him softly. Jack smiled into the kiss and leaned closer, wrapping his arms around Kaiden's neck.

Just as they were getting a bit into the kiss, an amused cough rang out behind Kaiden, making the man stiffen his shoulders before he sighed while Jack blushed deeply, remembering that they were out in the open.

They kissed in front of all these kids!

As Jack was still looking at their feet, he could hear a rumbling chuckle going through Kaiden's chest. "You really know when to come and but in, huh Dad?" The words sank through Jack's mind slowly, turning his cheeks bright red.

"Oh my gosh...His parents saw us kissing!" Jack thought to himself, having difficulties to swallow as he buried his face in Kaiden's chest. The wolf only chuckled and soothingly rubbed Jack's back.

He managed to glance up, almost afraid to see Kaiden's expression but Jack let out a relieved sigh and almost smiled at the cheeky wink coming from Kaiden. The boy shook his head, yet the loving look in his eyes betrayed him.

With the reassurance that Kaiden seemed fine with his parents bumping into them, Jack nodded and allowed Kaiden to pull him to his side while he turned towards Kaiden's parents.

The man standing there was almost an identical replica of Jack's mate and he closed his mouth when he realized his jaw had been hanging wide open. Kaiden chuckled slightly while squeezing Jack's shoulder reassuringly before he looked at his dad.

"We get that reaction all the time, but don't you think I'm taller than him?" Kaiden asked his mate, watching as Jack glanced in between them with an uncertain look in his eyes before his dad walked closer and patted his back with enough force to make any weaker man than Kaiden tumble over.

"Nah, I'd say I'm bigger than you."

They laughed together when Jack seemed unsure and bit his lip in thought before Kaiden pulled his mate closer to introduce Jack to his parents. "Mom, dad, meet my mate Jack. Jack, these are my father Edmund, and my mom Claire."

Jack smile was wobbly as he nodded and blushed when both parents looked at where he was squished against Kaiden's chest. Claire smiled warmly, brushing her long hair back before she walked over and pulled Jack in a warm hug.

"I'm so glad my son has finally found you, thank you for making him happy." She gushed, making Jack feel as if he was completely on fire by the way his cheeks were burning up. When Clair pulled back, she released a high pitched sound and squeezed Jack's crimson cheeks.

"Ow, look at you, you're so cute!"

Kaiden rolled his eyes, though he couldn't hide the big grin on his face or the pleased look at having his parents fully accept his mate. His father stood beside him, watching as Clair gushed and cooed over Jack before Edmund decided to save the boy from blushing himself to death.

"Alright Clair, that's enough before the boy feints on the spot." His father spoke and started on the difficult task of untangling Clair from Jack. As soon as the boy was free, he leapt in Kaiden's hold and buried his face in Kaiden's throat, an embarrassed whine slipping from his lips.

Edmund's eyes softened a bit, realizing that the boy was more than a little overwhelmed by the warm welcome and nodded at his only son before guiding his wife away from the newly mated pair.

Kaiden watched his parents leave while keeping a hold on Jack before chuckling as he realized just why his mom had been so excited and overabundant in her greeting. "looks like my mom gave her blessing if you ever fall pregnant."

All Kaiden could see was the tips of Jack's eyes burning up and he chuckled before taking pity in the boy and carried him down to the cabin where Chris and Rowan had headed off to.

Stepping into the warmed interior, Kaiden grinned at the pack doctors busily rushing around and caught the eye of one of the nurses. The woman smiled warmly, shouting orders at the passing nurses before she smiled apologetically.

"Sorry, twins giving birth on the same day, both having triplets and things turn crazy." She laughed before glancing curiously at Jack. "I guess you two are here to get a room in the main building and not here in the nursery?" She asked after a pointed look at Jack's flat stomach.

Kaiden nodded and pressed a kiss on Jack's forehead. "Yeah, my best friend is having pups and this is Jack's first time coming here." He explained and gained another warm smile. "I see. I'm sure you can find your friend and arrange a room, I got to go, sorry, everything is so hectic!" She called over her shoulder as one of the pack doctors popped his head through the door and called for her aid.

Jack glanced up, still blushing furiously but calming down as he realized Kaiden was smiling. His eyes flitted over his big mate's shoulders and followed the anxious movements of the doctors with interest.

A familiar voice screeched in pain, which made Jack pale slightly as Kaiden turned and headed to the source, pausing at the enterance of the door. Chris was laying on the bed, droplets of perspiration running down his cheeks as he clenched his teeth.

Jack felt uneasy as he watched the pregnant male writhing on the bed, Rowan standing by his side to offer support while ignoring the way his mate was squeezing relentlessly in his fingers.

"Hey!" Jack cried out as Kaiden was shoved forwards, effectively pushing them both into the room. The nurse standing behind the pair didn't even look apologetic as she tapped her foot and crossed her arms impatiently.

Oh, right. They've been blocking the doorway and unintentionally stopped the doctors from coming in to help Chris. "Oh goodness, why does it always have to hurt?!" Chris keened at another contraction, straining to keep himself from pushing.

The doctors quickly got to work, providing Chris with the necessary sedative herbs while the nurses prepared his stomach for the labor up ahead.

"Love, I don't think you need to see the actual labor." Kaiden said softly in Jack's ears, having recalled the rather bloody experience of seeing the stomach being cut open to retrieve the pups. It was an unpleasant sight and he doubted that Jack would be able to stomach such an experience.

Much to his surprise, Jack nodded shakily and only flitted forwards to squeeze Chris' hand reassuringly. "Good luck..." He muttered shyly, gaining a wobbly smile as Chris nodded and Rowan scoffed.

"What about me, my fingers are being squeezed together, I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with a fracture again." He laughed before smiling apologetically at Chris when his mate retorted, "Well, we can always swap places the next time around."
