"OI FELIX!" I nearly jumped out of his skin as he turned around to face a laughing Changbin.
"You don't have to yell, Changbin. I could hear you from a mile away." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Somehow, my right hand found its way to my neck, and felt for the thumping of my fast heartbeat unconsciously.
Changbin raised his eyebrows at me.
"What?" I asked innocently. "I'm just making sure..."
He sighed. "I thought you said it was getting better."
"That was before you scared me." I pointed out.
"Normal people don't freak out like that, Lix." We proceeded walking down the school hallway as we talked.
"Okay, well one- I am a normal person. And two- Yes they do. I've seen it." I retorted.
"In your dreams, maybe." He snorted. "Hey, I gotta go. Good luck today, and sorry for scaring you." He patted my shoulder and hurried off as the bell rung.
"Thanks, mate." I waved goodbye.
My textbooks were held in one hand and my phone in the other as I rushed to get to class. I looked down to check the time. 7:43. I have 2 minutes to get upstairs and in my classroom. Picking up the pace, I slammed the door open to the stairwell, and hurriedly made my way past a crowd of students.
"Er..sorry. Sorry, coming through. Excuse me, guys."I mumbled, although unheard in the loud chatter that filled the path. I glanced down at my phone again as I ran.
"Aaaah!" I screamed as I tripped on someone's foot. I closed my eyes, waiting for the impact on the hard concrete. As I prepared myself, someone suddenly grabbed my arm and yanked me away from the stairs.

I peeked through one eye to see who it was. It was Chris Bang, a popular senior I've seen around school here. He was also Korean, and had stunning visuals. I blushed madly, kneeling on the floor to pick up my books.
"Sorry, Hyung! I'm so sorry, thank you for saving me. You didn't have to. I'm sorry again, it was my fault, I didn't mean to trip." I rambled.
He chuckled at my flustered state. "No worries mate, seeya around?"
Before he could say another word, I had already ran off to my class, hoping that I wouldn't be late. My professor was really strict about that.
I quickly laid two fingers on my neck, checking my pulse in distress. Reaching into my backpack, I pulled out my capsule of pills for my awful anxiety. I grabbed my water bottle and chugged a couple down.
I have trouble meeting new people and talking to them. Especially a cute and warmhearted boy like Chan. My hands were still shaky from the incident, but I sat on them in my seat and tried to take deep breaths, like my doctor had suggested.

Man of Earth
Magic is a terrifying force. Logic itself is subject to this energy, which is (logically speaking) impossible for us to comprehend. Every universe requires some version of magic to exist. That is, all but one. Our world functiouns based on a powerful and intricate net of laws that act independently from magical interference. The most notable of these is the human brain, which is capable of even more than its creator had thought possible. Naturally, this prompted the question: "How would a human fare in a world of magic?" Soon, there was a bet. Next, a human was selected. Finally, an odd young man with a strange black hat was introduced to his new world, and all restraints were removed.
