That night before the big mission, Newt had a nightmare to whack him out of his senses.

It was a beautiful day, snowy and wintery, right around a cold January morning. Perfect for cheerfulness and a wedding.

Newt was invited to Tina's wedding. He finished putting on his tie when he went to greet the groom.

"Good day, Mr Achilles" Newt smiled, hiding the broken heart.

"Oh, hello, Scamander" Achilles replied, smugly, "I absolutely love that you had the time to come to our wedding".

"Yes, anything for my. . friends" Newt murmured.

"You should meet Tina, y'know?" Achilles suggested, "Since you two are platonically close".

"Yes, she's very . . much my friend" Newt said, the words hurting him so much as he spoke.

"I'm really happy to have her as my wife. She's the bravest person in the world!" Achilles exclaimed, "And she looks amazing!"

"You don't necessarily marry a person just because of their outlooks" Newt snapped, "What is she afraid of, huh? What drives her nuts? What makes her feel satisfied?"

"I dunno, but I guess it's caffeine. That woman goes nuts for coffee" Achilles joked. His friends screamed out with laughter.

"As I said. You're too judgemental" Newt said.

"I'm sorry, but is it your wedding?" Achilles lowered his voice to keep their conversation secluded, "Tina chose me, you idiot".

Newt didn't know how to come up with a response, "I know her better than anyone else".

"I see. And you must be the crazy weirdo with the magical creatures! Didn't you plagiarize other books and pass it off as your own work?" Achilles played extremely unfair.

"Treat her fairly" Newt requested him, "You're obviously full of yourself".

Soon, the wedding began. Newt took his seat near the far end and saw Tina make her gorgeous arrival in the church. She was wearing a white gown, courtesy of Queenie, who was linking arms with Jacob.

The Minister began to read a list of things that a relationship must have and proceeded to declare the union of Achilles Tolliver and Porpentina Goldstein after the exchange of vows.

Suddenly Newt felt a compelling urge to be the man in place of Achilles. He hid the urge, clapped for them as they kissed and walked off, without meeting Tina.

He respected her and he came to her wedding and never talked to her. How stupid of him.

It hurt so badly, that the woman he loved so much wasn't there with him. Wouldn't be there to go on adventures with him. Wouldn't be there to help him get though life.

He would die away, alone in the bitter cold. Without her.

Newt woke up with a start, gasping for air. He massaged his head as he checked the time.

It was three in the morning. Newt decided to wake up anyways and review his packed things, still thinking about the dream.

Did he want to spend a life with Tina? Would Tina even want to be with him? His head filled with thousands of questions which were impossible to answer.

He didn't know why, but these wedding dreams were reoccurring almost every time. Whenever he hears Tina talk about Achilles, he feels an invisible knife pierce his heart, reminding him how much she missed the dashing Auror.

If he weren't careless and if he only knew about the magazine article.

"Enough, Newt!" he scolded himself, "Tina's not married. She's just here in the next room. Shut up, you idiot!".

"You know, I can hear you from my room" a voice interrupted him.

He turned to look at Tina, her hands folded and her shirt untucked.

"Hello, uh good morning" he wished her warmly, "You are up?"

"Couldn't sleep last night" Tina answered, hugging her sides, "Though I really couldn't think if you were to yell so loudly like that".

"I'm sorry, I just had a lot going on" Newt apologized.

"And I can safely assure you that I'm not married" Tina grinned, "What's up with you, Newt? Having crazy dreams again?"

"Should I tell you the truth?" Newt asked.

"That's all I want"

"I dreamt that you and Achilles were getting married" Newt answered, "And, yes".

"Oh, Mercy Lewis, you did not!" Tina couldn't suppress her grin, "Who would want to marry that half witted oaf? I certainly wouldn't. Maybe except that Linda Thymes girl".

"That's a relief" Newt said.

"What, don't tell me you're jealous" Tina said, "Yes, you are, aren't you?"

"How d'you know?" Newt smiled weakly.

"Ahem, hello? I've known you for three years now" Tina clapped her hands, mockingly, "I can read you like a book".

Newt paused for a bit.

"Plus, you didn't have to be jealous of anyone" Tina shrugged, "You've got so much talent and potential than all of us combined. You have everything, Newt. Maybe I should be jealous of you".

Newt grinned, "I see".

"Okay, since we're here and stuff. . " Tina began awkwardly, "We should really talk about what's. . "

". . with our relationship" Newt said.

"Yes, absolutely" Tina agreed, "So what are we, now? Are we courting? Are we friends?"

"Well, since the misunderstanding is cleared up and I trust you with my heart, I think . . . "

". . what?" Tina prompted him.

"I think we might have a chance of courting?" Newt gave her a hint, "Huh, yes?"

"A million times yes" Tina couldn't agree more, "Look at us! We are like typical children , breaking up and courting again".

"Hey, we've all got innocence in us" Newt argued, "Some of us are better at hiding it".

"Haha, very funny" Tina pressed a little kiss on his lips.

"I'm glad we're back to square one" Newt smiled.

"How did we evolve from being two awkward idiots to becoming an undercover duo, adding a hint of relationship?" Tina said, her hands still entwined with Newt's.

"I guess we've become confident with respect to time" Newt said.

"Okay, let's get going" Tina said, "I almost forgot to pack my toothbrush, shoot!"

This is what Newt liked about Tina. The little mishaps in her life. The varying emotions that dance on her face and especially when she's incredibly angry with Newt, causing her to make him laugh even more.

Nobody could understand Tina more efficiently than Newt. It seemed that they were on the same psychic wavelength.

Newt was indeed a very lucky man.

Tina was relieved to find out that she and Newt were on the same page now. It was incredibly hard at first, but now she felt better.

Ever after Achilles, Tina had never been better. Until now.

She was reminded of the time when she found the horrific truth which led her to break contact from Tolliver.

~A few months ago~

"Hey, Achilles should we go--" Tina began, rifling through papers as she entered Achilles's office.

She halted right in the middle of the doorway when she saw, to her horror, Achilles snogging another woman.

"Oh, I love you so much!" Achilles cried and realized Tina stood there, with a stern expression.

"Achilles how could you?" Tina began.

"Look, I can explain!"

"Who's this, Aki?" the blonde headed girl whom he was snogging, asked him. She seemed like a new recruit for the Auror team.

"No one" Achilles said, quickly, "Wait here, Annie".

"Nice to meet you, Annie" Tina gave her a look of utmost disgust. She quickly rushed back.

"Tina. Wait up!" he got up and rushed after her.

"Akiiiiiii!!" he heard Annie scream.

-

"Tina wait!" Achilles panted, "Just stop! Hear me out!"

"Okay, so I bet this is probably the third girl you're courting" Tina said.

"No! It's only--"

"Don't give me that trash" Tina replied, "I never bothered when I found out that you and Ivy were courting and now, this girl?"

"Ivy, we. . Annie and I. . "

"Enough! I've put up with you for so long" Tina said, "You take all of us for granted!"

"No, I dont--"

"You loathsome evil pig!" Tina cursed him, "You foul idiot! How dare you betray me! D'you think this is a joke?"

"Well yes!" Achilles snapped, "I can at least call you my girl if you didn't have to dress up like a freak!"

"What's wrong with this?" Tina asked.

"It's stupid. I introduced you to my friends the other day and they all call me a geek because I'm courting a career driven woman like you" Achilles showed no mercy.

"I knew it" Tina said, "I knew that you only care about yourself and not a percent about me. You want to gain mutual benefits from this. You know what? I'm breaking up with you"

"Very well".

"People appreciate me for what I do" Tina snapped, "I don't need anything from a punk".

"Now you're going to talk about that British guy who came to New York last year" Achilles sighed.

"Maybe I will" Tina eyed him, "He understands me, to say the least".

"He's getting married, sweetie" Achilles mocked her, "He's done worse than I did".

"Well, at least I get his letters" Tina shrugged.

"Face it" Achilles said, "I'm the guy you want".

"Nope. I don't need a prick in my life" Tina hissed.

"You hate me so much?" Achilles looked bewildered, "Woah".

"I really hope that Ivy doesn't find out about this other girl" Tina said, "Or I suppose, I could do her a favor and help her get out of this toxic relationship".

"No, Tina, don't you dare".

"I'm a free woman. I can do anything" Tina hissed and left.

Months later after the incident, Tina had resorted to not replying to his letters and distancing away from him.

Now she was going to go to his wedding, show him that she was very much happy with her decisions and show that she was courting a famous author slash Magizoologist, Newt Scamander.
