"You're going to what now?"

In the two years that Hunter and I have dated, I have never once seen Hunter dance before. In all honesty, to even imagine that would be bizarre.

Hunter has told me countless times that he was physically unable to dance. Whenever he watched me dance, he told me that he was fascinated that I could move like that. When I told him that he could also move like that if he tried, he refused profusely. He said that even the idea of it was a complete disaster.

So, that is why I have never offered to teach him dancing.....until now.

"Oh, come on! You heard me." I said.

"I did. I just didn't know if you actually said what I thought you said because if you did say what I thought you said then you're just crazy."

I looked at him in pure amusement. "Now you're just being dramatic." I crossed my arms.

"I'm really not. I can't believe you would actually think that I would agree to freaking dancing. You're clearly out of your mind, Hera."

Yup, he is certainly being dramatic.

"It will be fun, I promise," I said while getting up on my feet.

Hunter shook his head. "I would never associate the word 'dancing' with fun. It's actually far from it."

"Now you're just being a coward! You don't even want to try." I said hoping I would strike a nerve.

And it actually did. Because Hunter got up in an instant and stood in front of me with a defensive look. "I'm not a coward!"

I took one step closer to him. "Then, prove it. Prove to me that you're not a coward by letting me teach you how to dance so that I can prove to you that I'm a qualified dance teacher." I said determinedly.

Hunter grimaced knowing that he can't refuse this. "Fine." He said defeated.

I grinned wide. "Great! Now, I just have to think about which choreography I should teach you."

"Hera, if you make me do ballet or something, I swear I'm going-" He paused and looked away like he was deep in thought. He then looked back at me and continued. "I don't know what I would do but it definitely won't be nice."

I scoffed at his failed threat. "Don't worry, Hunter, I won't. Ballet isn't for amateurs anyway." I smirked.

He rolled his eyes while I got back to thinking about what I should teach him. The dance I teach the kids might be too inane for him and to be quite frank—comical on him. My own dances are way too hard and perplexed for him, that's for sure. There has to be something else.

I tilted my head to look at Hunter who had his mesmerizing grey eyes on me with curiosity floating in them. That's when I knew exactly what to teach him.

I snapped my fingers and put on a satisfied smile. "I got it! I know what to teach you. This is a simplified version, so it won't be too hard."

Hunter groaned. "Tell me, why did I agree to this again?"

I rolled my eyes. "Quit whining and stand here," I said while pulling him away from the desk to create some distance.

I then stood beside him but not close though. I ascertained to put a substantial amount of space between the both of us so that we won't hit each other on accident in the name of dancing.

"I'm going to show you how it goes first so you'll know what to expect, okay?"

Hunter nodded and crossed his arms waiting for me to start. I wasted no time and started moving while singing the song in a soft tone just so I could dance in tune with the rhythm.

After dancing to the first verse, I looked at Hunter and found a fond smile on his face. That simple smile of his knocked the breath out of me as the recollections of him watching me dance when we were together resurfaced in my head. How could he put on the exact same smile as he used to as if we were never apart?

"So, are you going to keep staring at me or do you want to start teaching me?" Hunter said with a slight smirk, taking me out of my reverie.

I rolled my eyes at him and averted myself from exhibiting him my longest finger out of spite. "Okay, so first you have to move your arms like this- no, more slowly- yeah, like that. Then, you have to shift your right feet this way- more smoothly- yup, that's right. Okay now, try it again."

Hunter endeavored the first two steps I taught him and he was horrible. The way he moved was so stiff and inelegant that I had to stifle my laughter.

He groaned in embarrassment. "Not funny."

"Come on, let's try again."

"Do we have to?" He whined.

"Yes! Now, let your left arm move across your chest, above your head, and away from it in a delicate way, like this." I showed him to which he attempted to copy but failed miserably.

"Here, let me help you," I said and stepped closer to him.

I took his left arm in mine and started to move it across his chest, above his head, and away from it in a delicate way, all the while with my eyes fixed on his moving arm. "See! You're able to do it!"

I moved my gaze to his eyes and the smile on my face faltered. It was at that moment that I realized just how close I was to Hunter and noticed the way he was looking at me. I've done this with the kids I teach like a thousand times but never have I ever felt like I couldn't breathe and never have I craved for a kiss like I'm craving right now.

"Hera" Hunter whispered. "You're shaking."

I was?

Hunter took a step backward, putting some space between us, letting me think clearly. I can't believe I was about to kiss Hunter again. What the hell is wrong with me?! Being stuck with him is messing with my head.

"Are you okay?" He asked a little concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's get back to where we were. Not the position we were in! Dancing. I meant dancing. I mean let's get back to me teaching you how to dance." I grimaced at my nervous rambling.

"Okay." He chuckled.

The teaching went on for a while and this time I made sure to not make any physical contact because that is a dangerous territory. After a long time, Hunter conclusively got the hang of the first verse of the choreography. Now, it was Hunter's time to shine.

"Can we please do it together? I don't think I can do it on my own." Hunter asked pleadingly.

"But I want to see if I taught you well."

"You can see it while dancing. Come on, Hera! I said please." He asked with puppy eyes.

I rolled my eyes. "Fine. On the count of three, okay?"

I counted to three and we began dancing to me softly singing the first verse of hell or flying by Jeremy Zucker.

I'm petrified

That you're dying by design

Waste every day

Until you're wasted and afraid

I hope it doesn't hurt

That I don't make it worse

I'll always feel this far away

"Yay! We did it! You did it!" I said the moment we ended.

I watched Hunter through the corner of my eyes the whole time we danced, and I've got to say that I was impressed. Even though he was still a little stiff, he managed to pull the whole thing off.

Hunter seemed to be proud of himself as he had a smile on. "I guess I did."

He then looked at me with a certain amount of magnitude behind his grey eyes and I wondered what he was thinking about. "What?" I asked.

"This is the dance you did the first time I saw you dancing, isn't it?" He asked with a piercing gaze.

"You remember?" I asked slightly surprised.

"I remember everything."

My first instinct was to run away. I was fully ready to bolt. But what good would that do to me? We were locked in the library and somehow, we always seem to find each other after every fight. What's the point in running away? So, that's why I have to utilize my next strategy.

"It was the easiest choreography I could think of. The others are too hard for you. But you were pretty good for a beginner. And that means I'm a qualified dance teacher." I grinned.

"Fine. I accept defeat."

"Good! Now, let's move on to the chorus!"

Hunter's happy expression vanished as soon as it came. "No, no more dancing, please. I'm tired. Really tired." He quickly sat down and laid flat on the floor.

I raised an eyebrow at his stupid behavior. What the hell is he doing? I squatted beside him and poked his shoulder. "Hunter, what are you doing?"

No response. So, I poked again. "Hunter?"

Still no response. That's weird. Why would he not respond? Oh my God. Did he faint or something? My eyes widened at the possibility. I quickly prehended his shoulder and shook him a little, hoping to get some kind of replication from him. "Hunter! Are you okay?"

That's when I heard a noise that was soft and sounded like a snore. I scanned Hunter closely and saw that his eyes were closed. Is he sleeping?

I fell on the floor and let out the breath I was holding. Thank God he was just sleeping because I don't know what I would've done if he actually passed out. Looking at Hunter's state of slumber, it made me wonder about our helpless situation.

Will we ever get out of this library?
