Even though she was happy that she got a donor. Sanchana looked concern.

"Viswa, are you sure? Did you check this with your family?" she asked.

"Nope. I don't want to discuss about this with my parents."

Like recipient, like donor. She couldn't help but mentally chuckle about this couple.

"That's fine. But in future, what if your wife come to know about this, and because of this a rift is created between you both?"

Viswa thought for a second.

"I don't intend to marry now. In case if I marry, I will discuss about this with her first." he said.

Sanchana nodded her head.

"Don't mistake me. We used to ask these questions, because there had been incidents happened to those donors after marriage.

"Few years later, the mother found about the donor and claimed some inheritance from the donor. This caused an issue in this artificial insemination. Soon after that every hospital started to track the donor list specifically. Let's say for safety procedures.

"Even though the court supported the donor, the donor's personal life was disturbed. That's what I wanted to warn you. Many may not think that you would have donated sperm. Many would think you had past with that girl." she gave out the warnings.

He smiled.

"I get it. But if I get married I will inform her before hand to avoid the confusion. Is that okay?"

She nodded her head. Then she handled over the sheet, criteria for sperm donor.

"Not all are eligible for sperm donor. You will be asked to undergo some test. After that we will discuss." she announced as he read the criteria. (AN/- the criteria varies from country to country. Mostly they are same, but age factor changes by 2 - 3 years and many more things will be covered for screening. I am not covering them all. Just the basics)

- Donor must be between 20 to 40 - Check

- Donor should be attending college or college graduate - Check

- Donor should be straight in sexuality - Check

- Donor shouldn't have any genetic disorders - So far I don't think I have it.

- Donor shouldn't have congenital diseases - Definitely Check

- Donor shouldn't be excessive drinker - In my life time I drank once, so I think it wouldn't be a problem.

- Donor should abstain from orga$m and $ex - I am purely a virgin boy. Will that count for this criteria? he snorted.

- Minimum sperm parameters - sperm concentration 60 million per ml, sperm motility 60% actively moving. - who knows that.

He thought while reading.

Oh great! Seems like I would fit in. He thought.

"If you are eligible then you will be asked to come for donation, after that we will pay you 80% of the amount. Once your sperm is used, we will pay you remaining 20%." Sanchana informed.

"You pay me for donation also?" he asked in shock. Mentally he cringed. He didn't come here for money. He wanted to help the couple.

Sanchana looked at him like he grew two heads. Then why did he come here to donate? she wondered.

"Umm, Viswa, Yes. We pay sperm donors." and explained how much they will pay for that.

One side he was amused, but he was very stubborn that he didn't want any money out of it.

"Fine, as you wish Viswa. Tests will take up to one week. Will you be able to come next week if test results are positive?"

"Umm, I will not be able to come next week. I have a conference to attend next week. Not sure long it will take. Why don't you take it as two samples?" he suggested.

"Oh. Actually we shouldn't do that." Sanchana thought for a second. "Fine, we will collect two samples. We will test with one sample. If it is acceptable, then we will use the other." Sanchana called the nurse and asked her to conduct tests required for donation.

Soon he was asked to go for general health check, where they check his vital tests, and did some test on blood and urine. They also collected some of of his semen. First it was awkward for him as he haven't done those tests. But in few minutes he composed himself.

But every time they did some vital check or lab test, he started to ask questions. His curiosity was in peak.

"Why does my sexual preference matters?"

"Why does the age matters? Any male can give donation right?"

"Why do you need to store for 6 months and test?" he was bursting out with questions to the nurse.

The nurse calmly answered him.

As much as he was awkward, he got rid of it when he started to know the reason for each one.

After giving all the necessary tests, they said they will send the reports to him. They also assured that, if his motility is not within the range, they would destroy both the sample.

One week later he went to attend a conference in abroad. He received a message from the hospital.

Hi Viswa. Your are eligible to be a donor and your sperm will be used anytime soon.

He smiled at the text.

After coming from conference, another one week passed.

He got a call from Dr. Sanchana.

"Hi Viswa. We have used your sperm for AI. Can you come tomorrow to hospital so that you can sign some documents which will be helpful for you in future?"

He smiled after hearing that.

At last he had some satisfaction that he was able to help someone.

After three months...

"Last week I saw her with her ex-fiance." one of his colleague announced.

"My guess was correct. He could be the father of her child." another girl told.

Like this each one started to whisper in front of Viswa.

Viswa and his team members went to have team lunch. Suddenly the topic was shifted to Shruti.

"Why is she meeting him?" second guy asked

"Maybe running back to him?" another guy joked.

Viswa was annoyed with these rumors. Few months ago he was teased behind his back. Some of his faithful friends revealed to him. Now people started to speak when they got new topic. After getting annoyed, he spoke.

"Are you planning to hit on her?" Viswa asked the guys.

"What?" all the three guys were shocked.

"Nope? The way you were concerned whom she met made me to think like that?" he taunted.

"No sir. We don't know about her. We haven't spoken to her." they started to panic.

"Ummm. When you guys don't known about her, then why to investigate whom she met? Does it matter?" he asked then he turned towards the girls,

"How would you feel if someone badmouth like that behind you? And will be happy if someone is watching whom you are meeting?" after asking that he started to eat his meal.

All 10 members were shocked and started to eat. They didn't speak in-front of him.

Viswa could have spoken more with authority, but that would have resulted in another rumour, of them as together. So he said what he needed to say in short.

After that only he started to observe Shruti.

Suddenly he was reminded about his ex-wife.

Why the hell am I comparing with her now?

He brushed his thoughts about his ex-wife. Soon after the divorce she got married to her boyfriend.

Coming to Shruti, he knows that her marriage was cancelled one and half year ago, as he was invited to the marriage.

They barely know each other, just share a 'hi' and 'bye' when they see each other.

Various way his mind thought how she could be pregnant. Because even though she was a team lead, she is still introvert.

Maybe she found her love after the broken engagement and he could have left her. He thought. Because he did hear this as part of gossip, not that he believed that. But he was concerned how she will be able to take her of her and baby when she is alone.

Now who is judging her? His mind voice pointed out. He shook his head to clear his mind.

What ever ways she got pregnant, it is none of my business. He concluded.

Even though he said to himself that it was none of his business, he was still worried about her.

It was break time, so most of them left for break.

He called his mother. Once in a while he calls them.

"Viswa, when are you going to move on?" this was the first question he gets as soon as he calls them.

"Mom, give me some time. And ask father not to look after any girl for now." his mother sighed.

"He did try to search for a bride. But our relations are speaking bad about your character. Some are accepting that it was Sunita's fault, but many are thinking bad about our family. So no one is ready to suggest a bride." his mom sobbed.

"Mom, don't cry. Give it some time." he tried to console.

"Why don't you fall in love?" his mother asked him.

He rolled his eyes at his mother's question. Seriously he couldn't understand Indian parents. First they strictly say 'no' to love in college days. They will search for bride/groom. If it is not successful, they will ask their children to love.

"Whatever." saying he cut his call.

Suddenly he felt a movement on his right corner. He turned towards the direction to see Shurti straightening her back. Seems like she is have a back pain. Pregnant women might have back pain in first trimester.

He felt sympathetic. He wanted to help her. So he searched for back pillow from Maternity and Baby shop in the net and ordered one.

He made sure he didn't give his name as he wanted to be anonymous.

Then only he remembered some girls in his department were also pregnant. So he got an idea which would benefit everyone. So he scheduled a meeting with head of facilities team, Human resource head and General Manager of the company

Hi guys! I am sorry if you felt reading same criteria over and over. I cut short it. Actually there are many screening process. But didn't mention it. If you felt it was more of theoretical, tell me I will edit this chapter. Plus I can assure, this is going to be last chapter dealing with medical terms. No more medical term. We will get into story.

Seriously I did feel weird with the title. I thought of, fertilization, seed and egg, zygote and many more things. But finally left it to this. If you get any ideas do tell me. Or if you like one of the above title I mentioned, do leave comment.
