"Shh, don't shout. Some stalls are occupied. She or her friends might hear us." another lady chided her.

"I am stating the fact right?" the first lady shrugged while looking at the washroom mirror.

"That's true. But remember she is our team lead. We can't speak bad infront of her." the second lady advised her.

"Such a chicken you are. I don't mind even if she is our company's CEO also. Moreover I am going to another team from tomorrow onwards. So it doesn't bother me. Hey, you know what, some are saying that, father of her child could be her ex-fiancee. What do you think?"

The second one thought for a second and replied, "I think it is rumour. She is 3 months pregnant, her marriage broke around 1 year before. I heard it was because of one night stand." she shrugged as if brushing off the other lady's statement as rumour and stating her's as fact.

"Never knew she was that type!" the first lady exclaimed.

"We can trust no one babe." the second lady winked.

Hearing enough of sh!t about her, Shruti walked out of the stall towards the wash basin were the two girls were gossiping about her.

Both of them were gaping at her and she just smirked at them through mirror while washing her hands.

When both the ladies came out of their stance and were about to apologize, Shruthi left the ladies washroom.

Shruti didn't mind their words. Yes it would hurt her, but now she got used to it. Thinking about their words and getting hurt is going affect hers and baby's health, which she doesn't want to risk for some petty rumors.

She chose this life to enjoy the motherhood to the fullest. She knew the consequences, after which only she stepped into this life. So it didn't matter to her.

She could have told the truth, but will people believe her? Actually when truth comes out, there are chances that they might start to bad mouth her for different reason.

Already humiliation she got for broken marriage has damaged her enough. She didn't want someone to mock at her saying she couldn't get a man for herself and that's why she chose this life.

The reason for her is, she lost trust in men after her fiancee left her at altar on the day of her wedding.

All she wanted was a happy family. And being 26 years old, she felt she could start a family on her own without depending on any other man.

But it is not possible, isn't? To start a family you need a man for the sole called baby making process. But she actually reduced the possibility of another man entering her life.
