When Roman and Remus split it was a lot of Morality and Logic saying it was Remus' fault.
They said it had to be, he was the unstable twin after all!
Remus thought they were right. I mean, they're Morality and Logic. They had to be right.
Deceit said they weren't.
Remus figured that was a lie. The guy was Deceit anyway.
______________________________
Morality didn't want Remus anymore. Only Roman.
Roman had made Logic mad. They all blamed it on Remus. Remus figured it must've been his fault then, since everyone else seemed to agree about that.
Deceit and Anxiety came and took him. They told him it wasn't his fault after he explained what happened.
He learned Deceit was called Janus. He learned Anxiety was called Virgil. He learned Anxi- Virgil actually stood for Paranoia and not Anxiety. They all figured out Remus mostly stood for Intrusive Thoughts along with Creativity.
He learned these were all secrets. Secrets with his family to stay in his family. Dece- Janus and Virgil told him it wasn't his fault some more.
Remus cried and didn't understand.

Virgil broke a plate and was freaking out. It'd never happened before, he'd said, what if mum (Remus accidentally called Janus that once, Janus had started crying and Remus didn't understand much of the conversation that followed that, but Remus did understand it meant that him and Virgil got to start calling him mum) was mad at him, he'd said.
Remus said not to worry, it was his fault.
Virgil was confused and concerned. He hadn't been a part of the situation at all other than the fact he'd stumbled upon his brother freaking out about the broken object, how was it his fault?
Janus walked in and saw the situation. Obviously he asked what happened.

Remus told him Virgil broke a plate and it was his fault. Janus asked how it'd been his fault as he began to clean up the shards of porcelain off the floor.
"Because everything's always my fault," Remus had answered promptly.
Almost immediately Janus had fallen onto the mess of the broken plate bits, crying and mumbling something about, "What did they do to him?"
Virgil moved and helped him up, saying, "Calm down mum, it's alright.." taking him to the bathroom to clean him up.
Remus didn't understand.

Virgil was walking out the door. Janus was begging him not to leave. He'd do anything. Virgil left anyway.
That was earlier.
Now was Remus sitting on his bed, not fully comprehending the knocking on his door or the concerned calls from Janus as he whispered over and over again to himself,
"This is your fault."

March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
8 89Cennet's Cyborg
Jared Ugo, a child genius under the nickname ‘Ban’ is caught between his own haunting past and a bleak future. Whilst he dealt with the pain of guilt and suicidal thoughts over the years, a storm was quietly brewing. That is, until the person closest to him passed away in an accident. His mind plunges, but alas, this creates an opportunity for him to close the distance between him and his mother, a chance to seize the motherly love he’s yearned for the first time in his life. But that hope would be trampled over as he finally meets the ghost of a man forged from his own sin. He struggles to stay sane as the revenge-driven father seeks to mentally break him down. Jared fights the demon he created, David Cennet, and amidst the hardships, still tries to keep his sense of morals intact despite his growing inclination to disregard them. PS: I've yet to properly proofread this one (when do I ever?) but I figured I'd upload it and maybe get some feedback in the mean time as I'm more focused on other stories and excessive drinking. Enjoy!I've begun writing the sequel!Check out my edgelord novel!
