Patton stood at the counter of the cafe, Emile talking to him as he worked orders.
"So, your friend is coming here?" Emile clarified.
"Yeah! I'm excited for you guys to meet him!"
Emile smiled softly, adoration plainly in his eyes, "I'm excited. We also have some people you have to meet. Virgil met them, they're pretty nice."
Patton smiled and clapped, "Yay! We all have some new friends to get to know."
Emile nodded, "We missed you while you were gone."
"Sorry for leaving so suddenly."
"Don't apologize. We just missed you."
Patton gave a warm smile- as warm as the bread they baked here.
"When is all of this going on?"
"Sometime in the next hour."
"Ooo, yay!"
Patton rocked on the balls of his feet, anxious for how everyone will react to everything.
Emile continued to help out for the hour, and Patton considered starting to pay him, soon. His help was appreciated and it deserved to be rewarded. Emile had just wiped off a table when his phone buzzed, wiping a hand off on his pants, he pulled it out and checked it, reading the text from Virgil. He sees Patton putting fresh cookies in the display case.
"Pat!" He called to grab his attention, "You want them to meet us here?"
Patton nodded, "If it's not an issue. My friend is actually here already, but he's tired and resting, I can call him down in a bit."
"Great!" Emile grinned at him, "This'll be fun!"

D Days
Dragons were the apex predators of the magical world, feared for their strength and intelligence. They stood at the pinnacle of creation, until mankind fueled by fear and envy banded together and struck them down as the greatest threat to the continued existence of their kingdoms. Peace reigned for many years across the continent, until an accident in the Magocracy of Ken turned one of the most powerful mage lords into a power mad lich. Raising an undead army and creating a cult that worshipped him like a god, he cut a bloody swath across the continent in a bid to create his own domain. A great alliance consisting of the Kingdom of Light, the Magocracy of Ken, the Forest Kingdom of the Elves, the Mountain Kingdom of the Dwarves, and the Wild Tribes of the West rose up and the high lich was defeated, his armies destroyed, and his cult scattered. Still recovering, the world is a constant state of petty power struggles and back biting between nations. Border disputes are common and the constant fighting has taken a toll on the populations of all the nations. Of course, none of this has much bearing on the everyday life of a an ordinary young orphan in the care of a Temple run home. Or does it? *Current Word Count as of 8/4/18: 59,415 I am shooting for at least one update a week. Also, if you see any mistakes let me know and I will fix them. Cover by!*

The Traveler
Reincarnated with no information other than a single mysterious message, little Damian must survive as an infant in a world of might and magic. He’d better not get caught possessing his memories, or he might spend a thousand years suffering. Being a baby in another world is weird, disorientating, scary, disgusting, and also heartwarming. It doesn’t just happen for no reason, but the “why?” might be a harder puzzle to solve than conquering the whole entire realm. Both of those eventualities were very remote possibilities for an unusually smart baby. He was more concerned with making it to his first birthday without being damned by the gods or eaten by dangerous monster.
