Patton was sitting at his desk, homework open, but nowhere near done. He thought about what had happened last year.

---------1 year previous--------

"Please, please, stop!!!!"

His tears swelled up in his eyes and the scream caught in his throat.

He turned to his friend who was pinned down by the other guy. 

"A fag and a girl who's scared of her own genitals."

Pager screamed, "I'm not a girl!"

The man sneered, "Yes you are. And you wanna know why~?" He pulled down Pager's pants, "Because you have the pussy," the man touched his privates and Pager yelled out a sob, "And the tits."

Patton struggled and screamed and cried as he was pinned down and forced to watch his best friend get raped while repeatedly told that he's a girl. Patton's protests getting lost. Pager eventually passed out from the stress and he was tossed aside like he was nothing. Then both men turned to Patton.

"What a little sissy. See here- you are not a girl. You really think you like dick? Then here, you can have two."

----------Present Day-------------

Patton doesn't remember what happened after that. He just knows that his father, a police officer, got there afterwards and arrested the men that hate-raped Patton and Pager. 

Patton's house phone rang

"Call from: Pager"

Patton was in his room, where he doesn't have a house phone. And the old phone system distorted the name so he didn't get to it in time. Patton didn't understand why Pager didn't just call his cell.

Patton called him on his own phone, but there was no answer. So he went and called back on the house phone. 

"Patton?"

"Hello?"

"This is Pager's mom, has Pager talked to you today?" She sounded panicked, like she'd been crying.

"No...why?"

"Pager left the house. We don't know where he his, he left a note saying he couldn't take it anymore and now we can't find him."

Patton felt his heart pick up as the fear settled in, "N-no…..he hasn't talked to me today….have- have you called his other friends?"

"They haven't talked to him. I'm really worried, he didn't even take his phone. Can you ask his friends, maybe they'll tell you if they've seen him."

"Of course…."

As soon as he hung up, Patton started crying. He went and put the phone back when his mom came in.

"Did you catch him?"

Patton shook his head and found himself unable to talk properly. He went and hugged his mom and started crying, "What's wrong, what happened?"

"Th-they ngh- don't know wwwhere he is. They can't find him."

He went to his room and contacted everyone he knew Pager has had any contact with before, and none of them had talked to him today.

Half an hour later, his phone rang.

Book Pager lit up the screen and Patton scrambled to answer it. 

"Yes????"

"Patton…"

"Pager!???? Pager, where are you, we're all- "

"Patton...I like you...a lot. More than I should as your best friend...I can't get over what happened last year...I can't live with the feeling of him in me, and the memory in my head...I love you...and I know...you don't….feel...the sme…" His words got slurred at end and ended with a thud. 

Pager was later found in his bathroom moments after he passed out from overdose. He's been in the hospital in a coma ever since.

Patton's parents divorce papers were approved a week later, and his father got shot and killed by the man that raped Pager. He's apparently an ex-cop and use to be friends with Patton's dad.

Isn't fate funny…?

Patton's mom found a new woman and got married, moving to Twinshire a year later. Patton goes and visits Pager in the hospital once a month.
